Loves this B&N outlet on Union Square. Great selection of books and regular events in store. Great cafeteria to relax and check out some interesting books on a rainy day.

my 9 year old love these place, he can find every new book his looking for. They have an amazing little corner for kids to sit and read, on the second floor. We enjoy going together to find new books

Large selection of books and many New York City related gifts on the first floor. They have great book launch events, I ve seen Anthony Bourdain, Jimmy Fallon and Chelsea Clinton here.

All I have to say is " Books cost too much, that's why I opened Crown books, now U never have to pay full price for books.. " that's an 80's commercial reference. Sorry Barnes & Noble. It had to be said!

Was clean, quiet, have clean barhrooms, Starbucks on second floor, and great customer service help

This Barnes & Noble is so big! I love to get the bargain priced books and they had the biggest selection of those books! Highly recommend!

One of few last large book stores remaining in the city. The best place to kill time in Union Square.

Very busy book store. Has a Starbucks and seating cafe area. Also separate reading area. Used for book signings sometimes. Very knowledgeable staff as well. Great book and magazine selection.

I always like visiting the Barnes and Noble in Union Square.

This place was actually surprisingly well organized, with everything in its place. I walked a mile from my hotel in the rain and it was worth it. Wish there was a place like this in my hometown!

I have a great time when I visit here. I like to explore the Rowe's of books.

Love the selection and cafe upstairs. The kids reading section is divine for parents.

Great offer of books, magazines, writing material (notebooks of all kinds, pens, etc) and (although less) toys.
You can also find the pop up store of their own e-book, on the ground floor.
The building itself is worth the visit and also has a bathroom and cafeteria on the upper floor.

This is a multi-floor B&N. I like stopping by when in the area. They have a Starbucks and seating area a couple of floors up.

It's so important to be able to go into a store and find just about any book you want. They staff is knowledgeable and very helpful.

This location has been my favorite bookstore anywhere for almost 20 years. Even though most of my book purchases these days are electronic, I still love going in here with my children, who have also come to love the store.

Easy to get lost, employees aren't too helpful. Had to talk to 3 employees until I found one that actually helped me. Last guy was very nice and thorough 10/10 for that last employee forget his name but great guy.

Always great place. Coffee shop is crowded and i obserb many people that were not consuming but using the space. I guess they were homeless. I think the coffee shop need to improve.

I declare myself a fan of the Barnes and Noble bookstore, it delights me to explore its shelves and floors of different themes and surround myself with the best friend of the human being: the book. With its sober facade in capital letters on English green, Barnes and Noble invites you to travel with your imagination through novelties and old editions.

Couldn't find books about mathematics. Well equipped with general books, such as fiction and non-fiction.

A great place to take a break in union square. Quiet corners for tucked away reading. Friendly staff. The bathrooms can be smelly and messy but nobody hassles you for using them!

Very large classic bookcase, with a wide selection not only of books. It also has an indoor bar.

Well located brick and mortar bookstore. Cosy and comfortable coffee shop located upstairs. Downside of the store is a limited selection: the store seems to cater only to customers with far-left liberal views. Maybe to be expected in Manhattan. But more variety in the book selection, and more political balance, would be a plus.

This B&N has been here forever and still gets tons of traffic. Always clean and packed full of awesome literature

What a wonderful store and so huge. I was able to find what I needed from the help of the staff and enjoyed the quiet, simply sitting and soaking in all the books while I waited for my date.

It has a variety of books of all kinds, in several languages, there are magazines, coffee, children's area, movies, music and very nice place.

This Barnes & Noble location never disappoints. The multi-story design means plenty of space to roam and find great books, and the stage and event area that's often set up near the art literature makes for an awesome area to sit back and browse your findings. I especially appreciate how close knit the staff seems to be, and how helpful they are without being overbearing. Always a great place to get out of the summer heat to escape the Union Square hubbub, grab a coffee, get lost in some reading, and find a something new to bring home.

Certainly one of the best places to buy books in New York. It s spacious and has a great selection PT books.

All shelves are full of incomplete series so you barely find an entire series. The short girl with the black short hair needs to not work in retail if she hates working around people as much as she shows she does. Such a rude person.

I highly recommend for when you want a warm place to read books or magazines without spending anything, you can take your coffee and have it inside. Also charge your phone
