Great very large barnes & nobles in the middle of manhattan. I used to go here all the time when I was a student, but still pop in sometimes to relive memories. And buy books!

My best Barnes and Noble till date! Lots of seating space and a cafe upstairs as well!

By far the best B&N I've been to and I've been to many. Excellent atmosphere, layout and huge with 5 whole floors and the reason I come here to buy any book(s) is because Strands (a few blocks away) doesn't have what I'm looking for and I have to have it that day but that is very seldom.

Of course the main reason I come here is because I want to read a few books/magazines while drinking coffee and milk at the 5th Floor. Most the time, however, not only is it packed but some people in the dining area also leave all the books they read (and garbage) behind and they refuse to pick up after themselves.

I've had friends who read entire collection of books namely "50 Shades" and they save lots of money. So B&N is a basically a library more than a book store. The CD business as well as nook is unfortunate as I was always a supporter but it is what it is.

It's a massive but well run Barnes and Noble, the lines always look intimidating but don't fret, they love FAST.

Coffee inside, small reading room and on Sunday afternoon a floor only for children and parents with entertainment

My favorite bookstore. They have everything amd some awesome finds too. I wish they had more sales. I want more books. The staff is always the best. So helpful amd nice nothing over the top just right. Amd if they dont have answer they help find solution. In all my years ive not had a problem at any B&N and i bet with this great service is why they are basically the only main known bookstore still around. Im greatful for them

Barnes and Nobles is great national bookchain. I like the bargain book area.

Just a place that you can be comfy looking around or reading

Another place with a public restroom! If you go to the one on the kid's floor (2nd?) you actually have to bring your kid in with you. There are others on other floors for anybody. Pretty nice that they just let you look at all the books and kids can play a bit without having to buy anything.

It is not a real bookstore, best sellers only have commercial and things

I have been visiting Barnes & Noble for nineteen years, and there's a reason for me to keep coming back. The service is, great!

My favorite place in the world. They have everything you may need and more. I love their magazine selection, sale section, gifts and everything on the first floor. They also have Starbucks, lots of kids games and clean bathrooms.

This place is not only for the nerds considering exhausting supply of books but also best place for the comic fanatics and so many things for every kind of people. Delighted to be there considering myself not being a nerd. Worth visit!

What's not to love about a bookstore...especially one this size.

A good place to look for favorite books, from childrens novels to fantasy genres, hard covers to paper backs.

I love going to barnes and noble. You can read books and magazines while drinking a coffee or tea or even a lunch in the starbach cafe. Very decent customer service. Only problem is , they never have the book I'm looking for on hand. I have to order it, and it takes much longer then amazon to order. You would think its a massive book store, they would have it in a few days. But their response is usually a few weeks. I find they also have good quality items like toys, bags and a host of random items, for decent prices.. The toys i bought from barmes and noble by walking through the store were better quality then Amazon scrolling to find a toy

4 FLOORS of heaven..... Bathrooms on the 2nd floor, cafe on the 3rd, music and movies on the 1st, along with journals, books, book lights, discounted books, and fun gifts!!!! I always like to stop by when I'm in the neighborhood.

Pay online and pick up in the store process was great - very fast and efficient.

Large place with helpful staff, the children section lacks any toys for play time. My son was confused and frustrated to find a train table and no trains. Seems to be catering to NYC nannies, not actual paying customers.

I love this store. It is easy to get to by train. It has a great selection of books. The sale section is ample. The check out line goes fast. They have the best speakers/author readings. I hope it never disappears!

A perfect place for lovers of reading in a traditional format. Huge 5-storey site, which retains the essence of former bookstores. It has a coffee shop.

Friendly staff, like most B&N locations. Nothing to complain about here and if you've you've been to one, you've basically been to them all.

No one answers the phone so there s no way for me to tell if they have the book I want. Guess I ll buy it on Amazon!

I intended to hear Temple Granden's presentation at 7 PM April 30. I did not buy the book as I currently only buy e-books and could do that after the event. I arrived at 5 and was told that store policy - not posted in the store or on the website - was that only people who purchased the book would be allowed to sit down until 6:30. The security person was very kind and said that she would ask the manager when she arrived. I went down to Customer Service and was told by the manager than this was the policy and she would see that the signs and website were fixed. No, I could not be admitted. Since there are fewer than a dozen chairs in the entire store and since, at 67, I was not willing to stand for an hour and a half, I went home. I suppose I could have bought the book and returned it after the reading. Instead, although I have been a regular customer for easily more than 20 years, I will buy my books and coffee elsewhere from now on.

This may be the biggest B&N in Manhattan. Has four floors!

They had literally the biggest collection of the little POP action figures, but no dragonball z ones whatsoever and they also had no anime and no korn merchandise. This place can burn

Grew up going to this place and im glad it's still there. A great place to read books for free. Maybe a little interior renovations to freshen the look couldn't hurt. =)

I love going to this B&N location. It has a cafe on the top floor and an event space. There is a nice kids section with a large game section. They always have a good selection of journals - blank and prompts. There s a lot of people but because it s such a large space you don t feel crowded. It s also a clean location, which is also a good bonus.

Great selection in books & other goodies. I enjoy the seating areas. They have awesome author events here, you make lots of friends during those!

Huge 3 story building and seating area on the 3rd floor. Love this barnes and nobles. And it's close to many shops and restaurants nearby.

There are so few bookstores left in NYC and this is a great one.

Horrible place to go, especially when a loss prevention black lady behind you checking on you threwout the store. On my way out she stopped me and asked to check my bag just for her to tell me shes sorry. Very embarrassing. Avoid going to this store

Huge 4-story bookshop. It has some promotions for best sellers already at the entrance. On the top floor there is a section with books on sale and several people sitting on the floor reading books. It has a cafeteria. It has a bathroom on the top floor. Is there Wi-Fi.
