On the canal. Seriously fantastic baked goods and a terrific selection of coffees. Really cute inside but very crowded at peak times. Don't come here to work--it ain't gonna happen. But a great place to kick back with a friend or two and chat for a while.

Great bakery, innovative options. Not enough seating though as always busy so not the most relaxingn atmosphere. Staff are pretty abrupt and disinterested, so don't expect spectacular service... They just want to get people through asap so it's all "what you want" and move on. Worth it for the bakes though, but not the experience

I found this place years ago. It is brilliant but most importantly the confections are wonderful. I'm a cakecup fan. Usually go once a year bc it's just that good. Ridiculous actually. 2 people can share one cupcake, huge. Yum

Because COVID I be delivering food and this please they are Not nice with us. I love that stuff but is very sad how we are treated. Soon they know you are delivering everything change. The Afro America guy makes this place not good experience for us driver. Remember because we are delivering food dosent make us les then others.

Perfect place to catch up with friends over a coffee and a sweet treat. I had a cupcake and a coffee here, it was perfect. There is plenty of seating the the back. My friend and I were able to share the couch with another couple. The line didn't take too long to get our coffee. We waiting about 5 min for our coffees to be ready. The staff was very friendly. They have outdoor seating and this would be fantastic in the spring or summer to sit outside. The coffee was fairly average, I wasn't too impress with it. The cupcakes are fantastic and probably one of my favorite places to get a sweet treat in the city. Great atmosphere and is a cupcake store that local Washingtonians go to.

All I've heard over the past few years was how amazing Baked & Wired is and how it far outmatches any other cupcake shop in the area. Needless to say, I set my expectations too high.

The cupcakes are so incredibly dense, and everything that wasn't chocolate resembles a muffin much more than a sweet and fluffy cupcake. The seasonal pumpkin is a delicious morning treat (because it tastes like a muffin) and the chocolate/caramel icing is much better (a little lighter and sweeter). The star here was the cookie sammie I had - much lighter, sweeter, and all-around delicious.

Next time I'm in the area I definitely want more cookies, but as for cupcakes - cross it off your bucket list, but don't wait in any ridiculous lines for it.

There's always a comparison of baked And wired, georgetown cup cakes and sprinkled. I would place baked & wired at the top just because of its variety in toppings and a unique taste for every piece that it offers. Georgetown cup cakes is closed second because of its small and bite sized cup cakes.

OMG! Don't ever ask for a pour over! I could've brewed two twelve cup pots of coffee at home in the time it took for me to get that pour over! I had been there before and had a great cup of coffee, but after this experience, never again!

This local gem provides an amazing experience for those who are culinary intrepids! More than simply a coffee shop with breakfast options, I found some amazing cupcakes and brownies offered here.

Liked the "Baked" and "Wired" layout separating the two services provided by this grungy hipster coffee and cupcake lounge. I tried the large cold latte with whole milk. The milk tasted like it was a heavy cream or straight from the source, which I was not opposed to. The espresso itself was a deep, woodsy flavor with the slightest after taste of bitter acidity.

I most likely will not return unless I am in the area and have a hankering for a reasonably priced iced latte.

This is a local favorite in Washington DC! With a variety of interestingly named and flavored cupcakes, you will want to keep coming back for more. Each cupcake is $4 and there are seasonal flavors as well as some that remain all year (my favorite is the lemon raspberry cupcake). The staff is friendly and the sitting area, although usually crowded, offers a chill vibe to relax in while enjoying your cupcake, coffee, or other baked good. Also would definitely recommend the hot chocolate because it tastes like liquid chocolate

This place is truly delicious. The cupcakes are well presented and I love how big they are. Very moist inside. The icing is not too sweet. The line can be long but it goes fast. I didn't try their espresso drinks but they looked good too. The seating inside is tight but the atmosphere is good. If you want to sit outside you can go by the canal and eat your cupcake there.

Super great staff! Superb social distancing policies! Still not as in love with the cupcakes as everyone else, but it is one of the better ones I've had in the area! And I didn't have to make it. So win all the way around!

If you want cupcakes that are cheaper, bigger and better than Georgetown Cupcakes' (split them with a friend; they're that big), and you don't want to stand in line for half an hour, this is the place to go. It's a cute little cupcake place and coffee shop with a bit of a hippie vibe. It was the first stop for my freshman orientation group in college, and it made loyal customers of quite a few of us.

Baked and Wired is the (so far) the best cupcake store in DC. It fuses a bakery with a hipster coffee shop to create the perfect environment for college students (or teens emulating them and adults trying to feel young again). You walk in and see a nice display of all the cupcakes, and after seeing all of them (and other various baked goods) you can decide on which one you want.

I ordered the chocolate cake with maple frosting, I liked how they put the perfect amount of frosting and the cake was still large. My friends were all satisfied with their cupcakes as well!

The only problem with this place is seating, there are definitely not enough seats to accommodate large groups but I guess you can take your cupcakes elsewhere and eat them. A better cupcake than Georgetown cupcake, without the ridiculous wait and also a better value.

great baked goods, but they frequently run out or don't have some of things that aren't cupcakes, like the chocolate chip cookies! Also dissapointed they dont have wifi. But staff is friendly, baked goods are yummy and the ice tea is also good!

Cupcakes tasted like decadent tiny cakes. Not in the obvious (as-do-all-cupcakes) way, in a rich, sweet and savory (this-is-delicious) kinda way ;) espresso was alright, but I got the house option for the day before realizing I could choose for a few. ambiance is nice for groups if you get an open couch/bench, but could use a clean up (maybe I caught it at the end of a busy day). Overall, great spot I will visit again.

It's usually pretty busy here, but it's worth it. The coffee is the real deal. So good! They have a massive selection of baked treats, and I have yet to try everything, but I'm working on it! The cardamom pistachio cupcake is my absolute favorite so far. The set up is a little confusing, one line for baked goods and another for coffee/tea, so you order from each side if you want both. If it's nice out, take everything to go because it's typically tough to find seating if you're not a party of one!

The cupcakes were delicious! There were so many cool flavors, especially the Elvis, the Dirty Chai, and the Mint Chocolate cupcakes. I heard the songs of angelic hosts when I bit into each one. Be sure to have a cup of milk handy to wash them down! AMAZING!

The cupcakes are so delicious. They are priced about 4 bucks, but it definitely worth the money. They are waaay better than Georgetown cupcakes and sprinkles combines. Another awesome thing is that they have a comfy and big seating area.

This is my absolute favorite cupcake place in Georgetown! Staff is friendly, cupcakes are always ready and available. And the line is never longer than 15 min tops on a busy day. Get the Uniporn Rainhow!

I really enjoyed visiting baked and wired! The cafe is super cute and located in a really nice part of Georgetown (just by the water front). The cupcakes are also really good! Very delicious and the portions are very generous. I would definitely recommend visiting this place if you are ever in the Georgetown area!

Best cupcakes in Georgetown. Really moist, rich flavors, awesome atmosphere/ambiance, and TONS of amazing options to choose from. I've had the Razmanian Devil (pictured to the right) and the Tessita (my favorite --- so far). Will be back soon.

Stopped in for a late night coffee. Don't expect your drink to show up instantly, but it will knock your socks off when you get it. Got a decaf latte and it was smooth, creamy and just awesome. Don't hesitate to stop in

Baked & Wired is amazing!! Have a wide variety of really good cupcakes. The line can be long but the service is great and they keep it moving. Inside is very cute. A little off M street but it's worth the walk. Way better/cheaper than Georgetown Cupcakes!

Worth a ten minute wait in line. Thick, rich icing on a moist, heavy chunk of cupcake in a bunch of great flavors, classics + weirds. I got the pistachio, mellowed and spicy, and my friend got the uniporn and rainho, with neon blue icing and psychedelic sprinkles. I didn t get a drink from their coffee bar, but I m sure a Baked & Wired cappuccino would ve paired like a champ. It s in a nice area for walking too, right near George Washington University. Throw on your favorite privileged rich kid clothes and give it a go.

Baked & Wired has some of the best cupcakes in DC. We absolutely love indulging here and always end up buying twice as much as we can calorically justify. Don't be discouraged by the line, it moves quickly. B&W knows how to process customers efficiently. Try the vanilla cupcake -- there's nothing vanilla about it.
