Was a BH Photo customer for years, but recently this company has become both misleading customers and irresponsible. I ordered a brand new monitor (with duties paid) from their website and once it arrives I notice that it's an open box and after opening see that it's used. They label the RMA as "Looks Used" when I forward them the pictures, when clearly it *is* used. They send another monitor and it too is used. This one didn't have a single piece of tape holding it closed. What's more, the duties I paid up front, they forgot to attach, so I had to pay duties a second time. Upon calling customer service, they advised me that even though it was their fault, I had to file for border service paperwork (which takes hours to complete), they could in no way help me and it was my full responsibility to get my money back even though paperwork was their responsibility. They claimed they "could not guarantee that the duties will be paid during the RMA process". Then why did they not refund me my duties during the RMA process? Absolutely irresponsible.
TL;DR: BH photo tried to clear their inventory by selling old/used monitors as new monitors TWICE, forgot to file the duties paperwork, forced me to pay for the duties and then would not facilitate the reimbursement nor take responsibility. I have filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and the US Department of commerce. I also just ordered the monitor from Amazon. Received my new monitor within 3 days. Looks like I'll be taking my business elsewhere.
