They sold me a BMW approved used car with motorplan but fake parts in it. Found this out when something broke and I took it to another BMW dealership to get it fixed and it was found that there were fake parts in the car. After contacting BMW Midrand and BMW South Africa they refused to fix the part since it was fake and will not replace the fake parts with original ones.
It was never disclosed to me that the car I was buying had fake parts and modifications to it.
On the BMW Approved Used site the selling points for why you should buy an BMW approved used car is to avoid situations like this.

On the day of delivery the car wasn't repaired. Plate lights were falling out during inspection. The trunk wasn't repaired as promised, it only opens by remote. [Note after being approved it took almost a week and half to deliver a car that wasn't serviced: low oil level, old battery. In less than a month was stuck on the roadside because the battery gave up. Fast forward the engine started burning and excesiexc smoke[no oil leaks] took it to the nearest BMW - Boksburg. There It was diagnosed only to discover the car was not even serviced before delivery of purchase.
I have since also waited for the grill on the lower front bumper to date, I haven't received it. I communicate through emails with Thabo Mathabatha, at times he responds at times he doesn't. I am very dissatisfied with the service I received from Auto Bavaria Midrand. I am a motoring journalist: I was hoping to compose an article about my experience of buying my second vehicle, but, after this experience, it is a no no... From me.

I am sad to only have read these reviews now after i took my vehicle to this dealership 2 days ago ... and it is still stuck with them. Poor communication within their teams (service adviser, technician, foreman) and with the customer. Technician recommended purchase of 2 new tyres that apparently have abnormal wear due to improper alignment ... all this before he even diagnose the alignment on the vehicle. I had to be tough on the service adviser in order to speak with the foreman ... technicians not allowed to speak to customers - first time i hear of a dealer with such a rule. Eventually went there to speak with foreman who has a different view from his technician. All along i have to call them several times just to find out the status of the work they are doing, they don't return calls as promised. Just VERY VERY VERY BAD SERVICE and WORKMANSHIP. I just need to get my vehicle back and NEVER AGAIN will I use this dealership!

The main entrance door doesn't even operate so have to walk to service dept. to enter the new car floor.
After I did get some attention, where the (new car) salesperson was a bit friendly, I walked to the used cars to see if i could find a Z4 , but in that division they don't give a damn to assist.
Good for them at least they don't need my money.

I am really disappointed. Even this day, people who refer to themselves as Sales Executive/Assistant...whatever! Still today, they prequalify you, I spent 17mins to be precise inside the pre owned floor and it was like I do not exist. Nobody greeted me, no one approached me. While 3 of the guys were chilling in their cubicles, one on the mobile phone,the other 2 scrolling on the computers as if sales will fall like Manna from Heaven. Right there that's when I left the dealer after a shock of my life THAT....BMW Auto Bavaria next to Mall of Africa DO NOT possess proper, professional and welcoming customer service. It stinks to think that you will spent your hard earned money to people who don't value you as a customer/client but rather as a sale for the month. Sies!

Pathetic service experience. My vehicle went in for a service. From the start there were problems. No booking was made. I stood for over 40 minutes at the service reception. The Service Advisor was a trainee who was very confused. The Service Manager just stood and watched until I raised my voice. No vehicle check was done with me on arrival. Upon collection of my vehicle, I noticed chips on my windscreen. Contacted the DP. He does not seem intrested and seems to side with his staff's version of events. No one wants to take blame for this. BMW CUSTOMER SERVICES also cannot provide me with answers or a solution. Have been advised to go to the Motor Industry Ombudsmen. Such pathetic service. Will never recommend this dealership to anyone!
