Respect - heros here. We got caught in the soup down in the flood zone, spilled up to 3-4" mark on low roads, many xings closed. Over 10+ others, plucked from their car roofs, amazing. (we watched from high ground) Who TF runs a helicopter (actually count 2) into a low-vis, high-downpour storm on a Friday night? No reasonable pilot unless there for an emergency - ATC-EMS nothing but pure talent, skill, heart, bravery and selflessness through a night with many recoveries, thank all goodness, no deaths that night. You see it up close and you just saw some magic in a realm way bigger than you, and that's on the crew of ATC-EMS for the lives saved, including theirs.

We've had ATC-EMS at our job, doing training for CPR classes - nicest folks, good training.

Shame down your one star, wherever it is. No. - No.

Response to cuts from broken glass on the ground is soap and water. Nothing to sterilize the wound without a trip to the emergency room which was completely unnecessary. Basic first aid skills lacking. Condescending staff.

Yesterday I lost control of my car while driving at Southwest Pkwy, right out of 71.
For a few seconds, I didn't think I was going to make it, and the guilt of leaving my family for such a silly mistake was almost as bad as the fear from the pain or worst that I saw coming my way.
Today is my birthday, and I'm hurt and bruised, but in one piece. I have a lot to celebrate! Not only I'm still here, but I didn't hurt anyone nearby my accident.

I wanted to take this opportunity to thank the angels that came to my help. Strangers that were driving by and stopped to help me, comfort me, call 911 and my husband. I don't know their names, which is why I'm posting this to the public and not to my private friend's lists.

I also wanted to thank Travis-County EMS, Travis County Sr. Deputy Tim Williams and team that got so fast there to help me out of my car and take me to South Austin Hospital. The team at South Austin was very caring and efficient.

Sorry if I forgot anyone. I was pretty shaken-up yesterday.

I hope I can give back all the support and kindness I got yesterday in my lifetime.

Came 5 times this past year. Between my husband cancer and my broken ribs! Awesome!

I can't remember the medics name but yesterday him and two other guys picked me up in less than 3 min and transported me in was the worst 15 minutes of my life. One of the quickest and most professional workers I have ever come across. Thank you I am forever indebted to you

The worst experience you can imagine. My wife went lifeless in the passenger seat as we were leaving Dan's Hamburgers so I turned back into the parking lot and called 911. After 3 minutes on the phone she refused to send an ambulance because I would not leave my wife by the road and walk way back to the restaurant to get an address. I told her repeatdley there was only one Dan's on Airport but she was willing to let her die without an address. She put me on hold and I called back and someone else sent the ambulance after arguing. AGAIN about a freaking address. Horrible experience to be told you will not get an ambulance as you watch your wifes cold and nearly lifeless body laying next to you with no pulse and turning blue and barely breathing. These scum have no care for human life. No compassion. When the medics arrived they couldn't even find s pulse. If it had been a heart attack or stroke where minutes count, they might be responsible for her death! I found out later it took at least 3 minutes before an ambulance was even dispatched, when their guidelines are 20 to 30 seconds.

I'm giving this 5 stars because the EMT workers deserve it! But I am extremely disappointed that it has now been almost a month and yet my records have not been forwarded to the hospital. How is this possible that the hospital does not receive the records of the initial examinations given by EMT? Absolutely mind-boggling! Now I repeatedly call their office and no matter what option I take including the battalion chief, nobody answers the phone! Extremely frustrating! Again the only reason I'm giving it five stars is because the EMT workers were phenomenal. There's just some kind of policy that doesn't forward the records and it just completely dumbfounds me! Why take all these tests if you're not going to share them with the hospital that you're dropping the patient off to?
