I was in despair when my hdd crashed and knowing that my files and photos, nearly 6 years worth of work, will be lost. I'm glad that Austin Computers were able to recover my files and got me a new hdd. Very competitive prices, no issues at all.

My new Intel i9 9900K ASUS ROG STRIX Z390-E MOBO Coolermaster Silencio 452 system failed to boot, not even a post code. I had connected the video card PCI express power into the CPU 8 pin power ATX connection. It needed a bit of pushing !!! After pulling that out it almost booted (fan on, power light on no post code still). We inserted the correct connection and all was good. DOH! Justin at Austin put me straight in a few minutes. Thanks!

There is an arrogant member of staff who works here that has just been unpleasant to deal with on every occasion. Will be looking elsewhere for my computer parts from now on. Also, prices in store are different to those advertised on the website.

Ok prices, MSY is generally cheaper. Customer service during busy periods ilis not good. +1 star for being one of the few shops open during the Christmas and New Year break.

Austin Computers are really on the ball when it comes to computer parts. They seem to price match their products every so often. Bought some things from them, like a Modem / Router for my NBN.

You notice when you walk in that their store its filled with computers parts galore !

Have built 5 pc's with parts from here not to mention various minor upgrades. Service is good and price is competitive. Can get busy on the weekends but if you go in knowing what you want the process could not be more simple.

Used to be my go to store but I moved away from Perth and don't go there any more. They were really good though, and their after sales service was excellent.

Staff seem to lack knowledge. Staff had to Google CPU and motherboard compatibility. Had to return because CPU didn't come with fan.

I've been a regular customer for the past 10 or so years and it was always clear that Austin strives to beat the competition by providing excellent service, high quality products that are always in demand, and low prices.

For me the service and the after-sales support is much more important than prices. Case in point: recently I've had to make several laptop upgrades and one of their staff (Keith) explained to me in detail how the laptop memory works (speeds, timings, etc.) and guided me to help with the upgrade. Did I mention the after sales support was free?

It's quite clear that the people working at Austin are very passionate about technology; they probably read the latest news and pre-order what they believe will be a hit with the customers, and they're spot on, you can always find the best gear for home and business.

I just wish they've had a location in the CBD, even if the prices were higher.

Excellent. I needed a type of computer servicing which they did not provide. However, they were comprehensive in their diagnosis of the issue, did not charge me anything, and gave a whole bunch of useful tips for me that ultimately helped me resolved the issue. Top effort!

My Toshiba laptop screen was seriously damaged it has grey display. Went to Austin Computers for replacement. Service was impressive. My laptops was fixed in less than 30 minutes. The staff are friendly to and accommodating.

The measure of a store's value of their customers is in the after sales service. Anyone can be happy and treat you well when you're giving them money.
The phone at Osborne Park is never answered (have called several times on different days), which is frustrating when trying to resolve a small fault that causes the system to be inoperable without having to perform an awakening ritual. And this is with new equipment. But it's not just the phones, several emails were sent (including one to the "management" email address on the website) which have to this day been completely ignored, with the initial email being lodged a month ago. If you're planning on buying something from here, keep your fingers crossed that nothing goes wrong with it.

Every time I've ordered from Austin Computers I've had to ring up as they don't ship orders in a timely fashion.

I made a small order of a few ram sticks for express shipping, waited for 2 weeks and it was still pending. I had to ring up and they told me they'd contact the warehouse and get back to me. No call back. Two days later it was finally marked as shipped, however I did not receive a tracking number. I email their sales team, no reply. A few days later I ring up again, and they put me on hold to check with the warehouse, turns out it hadn't even been shipped yet and they then put it in for waiting for pick up from the courier, yet for some reason they couldn't provide me with a tracking number.

A few days later and I finally receive my RAM. Avoid purchasing from their store unless you want a headache. Just under a month for express is ridiculous.

Comparative prices with online retailers, but rude and often ignorant staff.

Be careful with weekend orders. If you order parts for pick up on a weekend you will have to wait until the following week Their online processing is apparently handled by another company that doesn't work on weekends. Their website doesn't indicate this so if you try to pre-order before heading down there then your card will be charged but the parts won't be ready. Exceptionally frustrating to deal with.

Hi John, I usually purchase my computers and get any service work done at Portacom in the city. This time I was told by one of your customers to come to Austin Computers - Osborne Park. I had Kelvin look at both of my old laptops. I know they were coming to the end of their lives. Kelvin got them both working better which was great. I was so impressed with the level of care and attention to my needs that I decided to come back and buy myself another laptop. This decision was based on the level of service provided by Kelvin. I'm really impressed with how he has such a will can do / I can help do attitude. Worst service!!!! If I good give a negative Star I would. Was told the product I was after would be held aside and it is a brand new comouter. Got to the store and the gentleman behind the desk was extremely rude and said "well it probably sold so there is the only the display model.." good job Austin computers you've lost my business! Was only going to spend $4500 I'm going to PLE.

Last Wednesday, called to ask if they had any M.2 SSD, and they had a "several" so I asked for them to hold aside.
Came in last Thursday, and immediately browsed for a radiator closed loop water cooling for Intel socket, and asked for their opinion only to be told to "look it up on their computer".
What?? Don't think I can look it up at HOME, on MY OWN computer, during MY TIME??
So I turn around and go to their computer, when I hear back talk, from your clerks, saying on how I could not install a radiator, and how I could not know the difference between LGA1151 socket and an AM2+ Socket.
Do they do this to all customers who aren't Asian?? Racist much?
When I turn back, as ask about the M.2 SSD, the guy replies, saying he never got a call yesterday, and that they did not have the M.2 SSD. I gave him the details of it, but he didn't even bother to look it up on the computer, and non of the other staff helped me out, but stayed silent.

Took my laptop in after it wouldn't turn on - they were able to figure the problem out and get my computer working. Very fast for an electronic service!

Cheap, crappy service. Multiple times I've ordered things from these guys and their webpage has said it's in stock. Walk into the shop area and pay for it, then walk next door to the pickup area only to be told that they don't actually have it. Also dealt with them for work and had them take days if not weeks to respond to emails. Would not recommend

After ordering a keyboard from their eBay, I noticed my account was tied to an old address and immediately sent them a message with my new address. They replied asking for a photo of my driver's licence which I supplied, got a call a week later saying that they had sent it to the wrong address anyway and that they'll be in touch.

One month goes by without hearing from them, I call up and inform me that someone else had signed for the package! Dennis offered no recourse and I'm left $100 in the hole.

Austin Computers fixed my laptop quickly. Service is amazing. Price is very competitive. You can never complain.

Cheapest prices by far, and helpful staff. Wait times at the counter can be long and dispatch can be quite slow even for single small items like a mouse (which is frustrating) but no complaints other than that.
