Beautiful place to stay with excellent service and decent (but pricey) food.
Our stay at Aulani exceeded our high expectations. From the moment you pull up the service is outstanding which you would expect from Disney. The resort is beautiful and a lot of fun. Prices for food etc are reasonable but lower cost options are available across the street.
Awesome views, so clean and staff treats you so well.
Perfect, near Ko'olina on Oahu. Like all Disney everything is top quality. Nice place very clean building, super clean pools, have a river to navigate it with air tubes.
Stay there for a week. Room is small. Mattress is soft and uncomfortable. Room service is until 3 or 4PM. Pool water is not clean. My daughter got a water rash right on the first day. Lazy river does not flow fast enough that you can't be lazy. There are not much thing to do in Aunty Beach House kid club. On the strong wind day, pools are closed, restaurants are closed, food service took 2hrs to get. Hotel definitely is not prepared for a situation like that. Children 9 and up pay the price of adult for food at the buffet and Luau. Overall it is over the price and no Disney experience related.
Room was very nice and tidy. Wish there was more soap in the bathroom. The pools across the resort were also clean and enjoyable. I think the lazy river would be better if workers would pick up the empty tubes as they float by so people don't have to look for tubes as they wade through the river.
Nice place, very limited Disney influence. Subtle yes, but too limited.
It's overpriced. It's a nice hotel with a water park and Disney characters. Our teens enjoyed the teen activity each night. The water park and beach get crowded because there is not much else within walking distance for hotel guests.
We also stayed at the north shore, which had less crowds and more natural beauty. However, our kids said they enjoyed Disney's water park more. Everyone agreed snorkeling at Hanauma Bay Nature Preserve was the best part of the trip, so don't miss that.
Wonderful family getaway with enough activities to keep kids busy for days.
Wonderful place with great service, but was very disappointed that the television service was down for an extended time (Saturday afternoon through the time we left on Sunday morning), and no compensation was offered; just a halfhearted explanation that "the IT department was restarting it".
Character Breakfast is always a treat for the young ones, albeit quite pricey. Walking around the resort is a tease, can't wait for our stay in 3 weeks!
Staff is wonderful. They had so many fun activities and the kids loved the pool, lazy river and water slides. Beaches were great and I loved the snorkeling here as well as the adults only infinity spa
It is a very fun place
It is more convenient when you become an owner.
Went to drop off and meet with clients. Nice lobby, friendly service
Great pool and lazy river. Car rental service was very slow, but helpful in receiving complaints.
Best resort Ive ever seen. Staff so attentive and friendly. Life guards everywhere. Massive array of pools and activities. Free child care and the kids dont want to leave. Beautiful rooms. Cant fault.
Aulani is awesome, definitely one of Disney's best resorts worldwide. Great to have a relaxing family resort to contrast with real Hawaii activities on a single trip (e.g., the Big Island). If you don't want to spend too much $$, a few tips for first time visitors:
1) Look to book using DVC member point rental service rather than booking on the Aulani website. We paid $280/night when the going rate with Disney was like $550/night.
2) 3 miles away are both a Costco and Target. I'd estimate 1/3 of resort guests utilize these options to buy groceries and dinners. We spent like $100 total for 8 meals for 5 people, and had a dinner one night of Costco food court pizza and churros. Disney lets you bring outside food and drink to the pool too.
3) There are some great deals at Aulani too--coffee near Ulu at the pool is cheaper and better than Starbucks. Get two giant dole whips for $10 total and ask for cups and spoons for everyone.
Rooms are OK, and there is plenty to do for kids. In typical Disney fashion, they nickel and dime you to death.
Loved it!
Had a two bedroom villa.
Wished there was more light in the rooms. Most of the time natural light works.
Highly recommend. Pricey but worth it if you can afford it.
Every thing closes at 6 the lazy river everything. There reason "we hire high school kids who have to go home and were short staff...."the buffet was amazing tho. View awesome, rooms really nice, most staff are nice.
This place is great if you are looking for a resort style vacation. I was here to shop in their store and just look at the property as I've heard great things. You can feel the Disney touches throughout the property and the water play areas and lagoon are absolutely beautiful. We had a true Disney experience even though we weren't staying. The details and decor are second to none. Even if you aren't staying as a guest, I highly recommend a visit for the day
Hotel is Amazing, however the Reservation department should elaborate on what featured attractions are and are not available. We booked during Spring Break 2019 so we could do the breakfast with the Disney characters. Upon arrival after checking in, we were told that we need to make reservation. After checking in, we checked reservation, only to be told that there were no reservations available during our two day stay. This was very disappointing. The rest of the hotel features were Awesome.
If there is no car rental, it's easy to move around?
The front desk was definitely feeling.
Well, it is a dreamland, so high hurdles are imposed on the front.
They have beautiful beachfront and a restaurant and buffets for the family
There is no loss if you like Disney.
It was an event that was not directly related to the hotel facilities, but I could see the submarine rising from the window of the room. It was a valuable experience.
Staying here for 10 nights with my family. The amenities are amazing. The pool lay out is beautiful and spacious. There are tons of activities for kids to do including an interactive tour. The staff is very friendly. The spa is amazing. It's worth the money. Would recommend this resort for anyone and everyone.
The lazy river was amazing and the beach area was wonderful.
Amazing resort for families with kids. Only downside is that food is mediocre and expensive.
This is an amazing resort. Staff are awesome and Aulani embraces Hawaiian culture
I didn't stay at this resort just took pictures of the outside. Took a walk with my niece late that night only seen one other person walking and a few workers hosing down the sidewalks.
I went to a character breakfast.
Don't forget to make an advance reservation.
It's not crowded, and you can make omelettes and other items for breakfast.
Pluto, Minnie and other characters come to the seat and you can take pictures and dance together!
There seems to be more benefits if I stay at a hotel, but since I did not stay this time, there was nothing special, but there are things that are kind to elderly people, such as rice, pickled plum, and simmered rice, I think you can enjoy it.
I had a blast with my 1 year old grandson and my 3 year old granddaughter. The water park is perfect, easy access to beach, pina colada are great tasting but overpriced
Loved stayng with grandsons for Children's Festival. Wonderful lanai to eat on and 2 queen beds provided ample space. Great Keurig coffee
in morning complimentary. Comfy beds and absorbent clean towels.
Ulu's cafe has good option for kids; order 16" pizza for $23 and healthy
meal with ribs, mashed potatoes and veggies for $17. Kids loved slides and lazy river...so did I. Try the pineapple pina colada $25 but worth a try, yummy. Parking expensive $37 so got dropped off. Strong wifi.
Great people, great place. Beautiful place to stay.
Loved it at the dinner. They are helpful and amazing and everyone had a great time!!!
Very pretty Resort. The staff is mostly pleasant. Well laid out. Nice lagoon to swim in. Food is awesome. The not so good-- super expensive, parking is $37/day, difficult to find places to sit that aren't already claimed, and also it's so big--easy to get lost. And if you aren't checked into the Resort--the staff don't seem as friendly. Imho.
Got a single deluxe room with the sink. Never saw a single character but plenty of staff to be of service and guide you throughout the location. Nice amenities, gym, pools (lots of it) and limited overpriced) restaurants
Beautiful resort. Well maintained. Taking a few points off for: At check-in, agent gave a bad room, and then tried to sell a more expensive room. No umbrellas to borrow; they want you to buy one. Some things are shown as included , but actually they are not. Cheap show by Disney on a few things.
Super fun, both for parents - who can relax a little with so many life guard D's around - and for kids. I particularly enjoyed tubing and chasing my kids down the the lazy river. My top favorite was snorkling in the Rainbow Reef. Aulani makes it easy and exciting to enjoy Hawai'i experience in one place. Did I mention the beautiful lagoon with calm water and breathtaking waves crashing just outside of it.
Well overpriced. This resort could have been any resort. Located in the middle of nowhere with nothing to do when the sun goes down. If you want to see characters you must buy the $50 buffet.
As we were just in the area for the beaches we only dropped by to take a look around. From prior visits and stays I can say the staff's been mostly friendly and accommodating, and my cousins from the mainland had fun.
The best choice for families with children. I stayed for 4 nights and 5 days, but if you want to enjoy Waikiki shopping, you will stay for 3 nights or more.
Although it's $$$ also in "off season" it's still worth it as long as your kid is fully potty trained (to take advantage of Aunty's Beach House). Think of it as a Disney day care! So much to do, even with the 4 days we spent there. Hospitality is great and service is A+. Don't bother eating there because plenty of cheaper options across the street. Our 4 year old had an amazing time, especially at the "Character breakfast". Only draw back is can be long lines for the meet n greet as shown in the photo.
I didn't stay but had character breakfast at this hotel. It was pretty awesome. Got some good pics with characters and breakfast was awesome. It was buffet style and everything tastes great. Would definitely do breakfast there again.
You can take a photo of Mickey breakfast and buy something great.
Awesomeness. My honey treated me to a day at Aulani and we had a fantastic time with the kids. Just ask for Andrea and tell her that Jack and Iolani sent you.
Inspite of booking in one of the most expensive suites on the 14 th floor ,the room wasn t that good . Very noisy ceiling fan and a leaky shower couldn t let us sleep peacefully at all. The restaurant downstairs has a very limited vegetarian menu. Serving sizes are very very small and bitterly expensive . For your cup of tea in the morning , a powder sachet is provided which is a non dairy , very bitter ,loaded with palm oil and synthetic substances which you can t even pronounce . No hot chocolate sachet for the kids is a sin in a Disney resort!!! Not a great experience this time .
Our first trip to Hawaii, and is a great place to get familiar with the island. Not crowded, great place for families.
Very comfortable room's. Nice ans spacious and kid friendly.
Beautiful grounds great pool and carved out beach with peaceful swimming area. Oceanside restraunt is excellent for any meal. Staff is great. Location is off the beaten path. Pool, lazy river, slides etc are excellent. Pool chairs are a premium arrive early to get one.
Very clean and all the employees had a great attitude. We went to a character breakfast which had a buffet. The food wasn't the best, but the overall atmosphere was very enjoyable.
Great food. Great for the kids to experience meeting a bunch of Disney characters. We also did the timeshare presentation and received a gift for that. Hung out at the lagoons after. It was a nice day.
Wonderful people, safe, secure, and very warm. Tons of activities.
Only went for a meal
Food good but the poolside was very dark.
We always have a great time when we come here. The cast here is wonderful and the attention to detail is phenomenal.
Absolutely no service, we got a suite that smelled, water play area closed for kids and a housekeeper that we found eating our food in our room
Great atmosphere and a lot of food venues and awesome decor. Enjoyed the character moments and the water features.
Service is wonderful. Beautiful surroundings. Beach, pools, lazy river, hot tubs and some adult only space. Plenty of pools and water slides and a play area just for the kids. Rooms are spacious & each with a balcony and seating. Just wonderful!!
The whole experience is great, however we were delayed getting into our hotel room, other than that it was a great experience.
It's a nice Hotel, buy not anything like Disneyland
Great place for families. Wish there was more for tweens & teens to do.
Just like everything Disney, there are plenty of things where the little details made it magical. The rooms were very nice and the beach/pools were a lot of fun. The only thing that I felt they fell short on was the service oddly enough. One situation where nobody could answer any questions about room service and another where we got up to our rooms and none of our room keys worked except for one and it took them a few tries to fix it.
Great resort. 1 bedroom rooms are great. Ocean is nice here as well. It is essentially a protected cove which keeps the waves down. It is really kid friendly in that you don t have to worry about your kids getting smashed by waves. In typical Disney fashion the service everywhere is awesome. You can t go wrong staying here.
Fantastic resort, great for families endless fun And things to do!
Great if you have kids! Do many activities for them to do!
