The staff was absolutely wonderful. Tony one of the workers told us about some hidden gems and all the places to look at while walking the resort grounds. The characters we met at breakfast made my son feel so special and the variety of food at the buffet was more than enough for our family. Definitely going again!

So visited Aulani for the first time with my wife as DVC members! I must say the hotel itself looks beautiful and the staff here are extremely helpful and kind. The service you would expect from Disney. We didn't eat at the restaurants that were actually in the hotel except for the breakfast buffet which was basic breakfast foods while meeting the characters.

We attended a brunch gathering at the character dining Makahiki restaurant. I would love to give my experience 5 full stars but it is important to take my whole experience into consideration. The characters, staff and cast members were always friendly, atmosphere was amazing. The only downfall of my visit was that the food was quite underwhelming. On a few dishes we noticed unacceptable things. For the strawberry yogurt dessert, a few of the raspberries had spots of grey mold growing on them. The salamander heating the fried rice was drying out the rice so much that it was hard to chew or eat. I had one bite of the egg white frittatas but was unable to finish it because of a terrible mush consistency (definitely not like cooked egg whites.) Other than some of the food being less than what we hoped, the other aspects of the restaurant were enjoyable. The venue was clean, staff attentive and noticed out tables needs quite well.

I'm a local to Oahu and my girlfriend stayed here for a staycation for her birthday. Service is outstanding and they bring a certain Aloha spirit that can be hard to find at Waikiki hotels. The room was immaculate and I particularly loved the rain-simulation shower head which felt very relaxing!

The pools are a major attraction here with several swimming pools and infinity pools overlooking the lagoon. I loved the lazy river and the exciting water slides that were quite impressive for a small resort!

You do get a nice taste of the Disney magic here with character meets and themed dining. We had the chance to meet some characters, and the cast members do a good job at moving the line along.

Overall, zero complaints and we really enjoyed our stay!

We Are DVC members, so far this is an amazing trip! As we expected resort & Disney prices, if you can cook I suggest UBER $12 to Safeway and buy food . If not across the street had food food . The stay, quiet room,I do NOT hear my neghbor, very clean. Flat screen TV w Blu-ray player & extra hook ups . Pools are Nice, love the idea of the lazy river but w kids swimming down it and bunch of un used tubes you can get caught up. Adult pools nice and quiet as expected. Another pool negative is the chairs , very hard to find chairs , Overall stay was excellent & everyone was friendly !

I was pretty surprised that the beach has an enforcement unit that restricts you from having your own beach umbrella or tent. They make you pay to rent theirs: a very Disney thing to do.

Had a birthday dinner with my family. We celebrated 3 birthdays at the buffet. We had a wonderful time. The food was great, our server was even better. They even surprised us with cute little red velvet Mickey cakes for the birthday celebrants. Overall great experience. I just wished they had the characters out longer for my daughter to enjoy. They left right before our reservation.

This place sucks. Paid over $800/night for a room. No resort charge. Internet is a whopping .10 Mbps. Cell phone is 7Mbps. Yes, the pool is nice. The beach is nice. Sometimes parents need to work while on vacation to pay for vacation. This is not a business travelers hotel. Stay at the Four Seasons next door. No chance of Netflix or basic internet browsing here.

If you like Disney, I think you can go. Aulani limited goods and souvenirs are sold to the store, but it is expensive. If you use the store only, you will receive free parking for purchases over $ 50, but $ 10 an hour if you do not. The response is also pretty cool for people who only look without staying, so it may be tricky.

This review at 1 star is exclusively for the kids club / Auntie's House which is the main hook beyond Hawai to go for Aulani over lower priced 4* hotels on Oahu: a kids club, hurray! If you got sold by the website pictures and description of activities or the open house from 8 am to 9:30 am, well you just got conned like my wife & I. The reality of our 3 and 1/2 years old experience staying 4 hours was very different: they allowed all the kids to stay in front of the TV and game consoles, do not encourage or organize any activities unless the kid explicitly ask to do something else than TV / games. So if you need a break, want to grab cocktails alone or enjoy a spa treatment, use this kid club but frankly don't kid yourself about your kid social interactions or learning experiences since they won't have any. For the rest, Aulani gave us a warm welcome at the door, good beds with a quiet room, a nice beach and some cool water fun.

Great pool and friendly staff. Its a bit of a drive from the city to get here, but worth it. We came for lunch and the buffet was tasty! It was fun to see the Disney characters and Auntie was great with the kids.

We had a two bedroom suite and it was extremely pleasant. The staff are all helpful and welcoming everytime they see you, always an aloha and a smile. The view is breathtaking and it isn't too far from stores to stock up our in suite kitchen. It's a very enjoyable stay.

Extremely overcrowded. Service leaves a lot to be desired. Wi-Fi is on 2G... ie very very slow. Check-in and registration very slow and they make mistakes which requires repeat visits killing more time.. overall during the summer it appears that the hotel is extremely overwhelmed and this seriously degrades experience
