Nice hospital, only stressed staff in the restaurant, and the toilets are not cleaned regularly! I think the checklist will only be completed in the evening or in the morning from the previous day . Super nursing

Unfortunately a bad experience with this hospital,...

Unfortunately a bad experience with this hospital, when I called that I was on the way with my friend to the Emergency Department because I suspected him of ketoacidosis because of his diabetes (which is life threatening !!), the dear lady of the emergency department says that I will first go to the doctor must, explained that really is not possible because of relocation we were still in EINDHOVEN at the doctor. Just drove to the emergency room and was met with a long face that we had to wait there. My friend was puking in the waiting room and could barely stand. Very quickly came nursing who helped us well and it soon became apparent that it was about ketoacidosis and he was almost in a coma. If I had done what the wife of the emergency room said my friend would not have been there !!!! He was recorded on the Acute Recording. There she checked his blood glucose and received the necessary infusions. After almost 12 hours on the recording, all values were good again. It was as if they had never seen an insulin pump because she wanted my friend to stay one night so they could see what was wrong with it the next morning ... but then he must be disconnected and a new one must be on, so no sense in checking the old man. Then I said that I was going to take him home because he cannot sleep in the hospital if someone is lying by him who has epileptic seizures all the time and shouts everything together (that woman can't help it either). It went even better. Then I heard the nurses say that we all did not understand ... how antisocial .... drinking coffee with 20 people at a time they can do that !! When I indicated that I am in Veterinary care and know for sure what I am talking about, she fell silent. After a good consultation with the doctor on duty, I was allowed to take him home.

Your experience with this hospital is really due to some staff who treat you really outrageously .....

in a word ZEEEEEER bad. It is not surprising that the health costs are as high as you see and have personally experienced how they deal with patients there. Complaining about work pressure, but almost all the time sitting together and chatting. If you report something or press the alarm button, it will take 9 out of 10 times 5a 10 minutes before someone comes from the nursing. If you say something about it, you also get a big mouth back, with: we only have 2 hands.

It's awful how you are treated here when you have an accident on the weekend ... first of all, I don't go to the hospital if I don't think it's necessary. The first question is whether you have an appointment otherwise you are not allowed in. As if you plan that you will have an accident that a doctor has to look at. It is completely wrong with healthcare in the Netherlands ... that money for the premium can be better spent.

People behind the counter are often very unfriendly.
This week's nurse is too appealing when she has to send an elderly woman in bed to the elevator. Still on the app after 5 minutes. I am really annoyed with this. Is there still a little respect for older sick people?

I have unfortunately been to this Hospital several times. The waiting times are very long. You spend half days in this hospital, especially if you are referred to another doctor. You come into contact with at least 3 different people who do not read about your case, so you keep telling the same story to someone else. Subsequently, those people themselves are not all competent enough to help you at once. Very disturbing. I advise people to go to Maastricht or Belgium for long term appointments, because the service is not to write home about.

Very bad hospital and unkind doctors.

Very bad hospital and unkind doctors.
However, that it is full there because of corona patients is not correct. I went to watch more often and also heard through security that it is a big puppet show.
I prefer to drive to Aachen or Maastricht for emergency care.
I do not recommend this hospital.

This is a HORROR hospital. Alive in and DEAD out. ...

This is a HORROR hospital. Alive in and DEAD out. My 78-year-old mother turned in after a fracture. Normally you would say surgery, recovery and discharge, but nothing could be further from the truth. Due to the improper placement and several pricks to find the vein, the hospital bacteria got into it. Antibiotics. Then the PRUTSERS of the NEUROLOGY got to work. Operation. Would be okay anyway. Yeah ... succeeded. Mother could now recover. Unfortunately. Instead of carrying out the operation properly, they have done some tinkering. There was 1 more operation and 1 more operation. Scan, scan, scan, and another scan. Various types of medication are thrown through the body. Mother had hope, but a 78-year-old body cannot handle all this. Kidneys started to fail. But the surgeons thought it was okay. Even a layman if I could see that was not the case. Eventually she contracted CORONA in the CT scan department. Result? now I can arrange the cremation. I curse this k.t hospital. Especially SECTION 11 what a HORROR department. The corona rules are just being ignored en masse. Grooming is ROUNDLY bad and bad. Crowds ?? Walking on their toes ?? Hahaha ...... All sitting behind the counter without a mouth mask and making nonsense that tells me that there is -0 crowds. Have come 29 days in a row and have seen enough. People stay out of this HRH. My father chased them to the grave 4 years ago due to incorrect treatment and now my Mother. They are talkers with doctors who have just wiped the green from their ears. I wish no one bad but this hospital I CURSE.

Having to wait 11 hours for first aid with untold pain, did not receive a painkiller yet and that for a chronic pain patient.
While immediately upon arrival, the fentanyl 100 patch released because of the sweating and I did not have an oxycodon with me because they had said on first aid that I had to come immediately because of the towering inflammatory value and would be helped immediately, the doctor said and they just send me home after some examinations and a pain rating of +20.
Never again first aid next time I immediately call the ambulance.
First aid 1 Star *. Read on.

Now comes the best, this was less than 6 weeks ago ambulance has been called since yesterday at home after 4 weeks of hospital / emergency admission, 2 operations on lung and 2 drains to collect the remaining fluid and you can guess the rest, now was the inflammatory value above 800 on arrival 1st time against 400 and then you get some antibiotics. I still have to give 4 stars because of the good treatment in the lung department but the 1st hup makes you choke so 1 Star *

First of all I want to thank the nurses in the orthopedics department for their kind care during the 2 days after my operation. The operating team and especially Neurosurgeon Dr. Cubs earn more than a big plus. I would recommend cubs to everyone. He is very friendly and explains everything he is going to do well. In short, he helped me very well with the removal of a hernia and the free preparation of tight nerves in my back.
Babette, desk clerk in the Central Hall, is also a big sign for your hospital. Huub Hendriks Maastricht.

My father was brought in here after a serious heart attack. In the emergency department I was approached by a gentleman (I think a doctor). He told me where my father was now and guided me to the heart monitoring ward on the fifth floor. He was here for almost a week and that time was well taken care of.
I also read very bad experiences here, but ours was fine.
Thank you cardiac monitoring department.

I've been treated like an animal here, dishonored ...

I've been treated like an animal here, dishonored human and it almost cost my baby's life.

I had a medical indication for a hospital delivery due to a previous caesarean section in which the scar would have to be closely monitored and a liter of blood loss that almost put me in a coma.

On 9-9-2020 I came by appointment with contractions at the delivery rooms, when they were already in doubt which room they could accommodate me.

I asked for pain medication in the early afternoon and was promised again and again that someone would come back to discuss it with me. This did not happen.

At the end of the afternoon I found myself in a contraction storm, I clung to everything I encountered, had to vomit in pain and stood on my haunches naked, crying in my own amniotic fluid, begging for help. The nurse who entered stood in front of me and smiled down at me.

Again I begged her for help, saying that my body couldn't take it anymore and that if the window was open I would jump out. She started to laugh and said she wouldn't stop me.
She walked away.

My mother went after her to find help, my doula encouraged me.

I felt that something had to be removed.

A midwife came and said that I had no contractions and that I should just puff it away, the gynecologist in training promised to come back for pain medication ... she never came back. I never saw her again.

I almost went into shock when a midwife and nurse came in to tell me that I could get pain medication in 1.5 hours at the earliest, there was no room on the anesthesia.

Again I begged for help and almost passed out, when they said to check the opening anyway.

Pain medication was no longer going to be possible, they said, 10 cm dilation and the baby had to come out now. She had pooped in the amniotic fluid in a panic and had only 40 beats per minute. She took a pair of scissors and cut me completely open. Unfortunately my mother saw this and started to cry.

They said they have to get out with 1 press and otherwise we will come with the vacuum pump.

With everything in me, to save my child, I got her out with 1 contraction. She literally flew through the air and they just managed to catch her.

Thank God my baby recovered immediately.

After all this I was told that there was nowhere a room and bed for me and my baby free, everything was taken.

Eventually they found something, 5 hours after my child was born, around 2 a.m.

The day after, both my mother and I had an interview for trauma processing.
The doula got this through conversations with her own colleagues.

I was left to my own devices all day and evening, laughed at by a nurse, almost got my child in the toilet, almost went into shock, lost 1.2 liters of blood and almost lost my baby, which stormed into labor, core was healthy.

An IV was only applied after birth.

I still can't control my bladder because they cut me open like dirt. But I was talking all about for my baby.

If they had looked at me once, none of this would have happened.

My mom still has nightmares and we all suffered trauma to the day that could have been so beautiful.

Super treated by nursing, nothing was too much to ask.
Unfortunately I was angry with the room doctor first, but after a good conversation and clear explanation, it was still up to me.
I apologize there and we talked to each other every day.

In Jan, the gallbladder was removed from my hospit...

In Jan, the gallbladder was removed from my hospital in the Zuyderland hospital. Normally I am very nervous when an operation has to be done and you can almost sweep me up, but not this time, a very friendly nurse on the day treatment made me feel immediately at ease, I went down pretty quickly, there I was received nurses from Friesland by two very friendly operations, they were very nice and we joked about our first names. In the operating room itself, Dr. Boerma came to ask the surgeon how it went, had quite a long time complaints from the gallbladder, as I have mild heart rhythm disorders, I also had a cardiologist, who kept a close eye on me think it is a bit exaggerated, as I rarely suffer from it, but still a sign that they pay attention to the patient. For my heart complaints I regularly visit Dr. Ernst a top cardiologist, who really takes time for you and does not impose anything on you, so her consultation hours always run out, she really takes the time and hears you. The operation itself went well, Dr. Boerma was at the bedside when I came around and said they had a lot of work, sign that they are making the effort, went down at nine and was back after two, so it would have been a long time. Back in the ward, the nurses were nice and caring, the wounds were looked at several times, unfortunately I have other experiences with it .. I would actually go home after a few hours, but since my husband had a CV and has intellectual disabilities, and they were afraid he could not take care of me, I was offered to stay overnight, but I didn't take advantage of that, would like to go home in my own bed ,, afterwards I would have been better off accepting the offer, the first night at home was a disaster and I was on my own.In short, I am very satisfied with the care and treatment of the sweet and knowledgeable staff of Zuyderland hospital, so I often get annoyed by the negative reactions, have never been treated badly and the waiting times are also a sign that the doctor is taking the time for the patient, the people at the clinic are always polite and neat, have the experience been polite and neat, then you will also be lived and n Some people have been treated back, people in health care are only people, and where people work, mistakes are made, they work very hard and the government's cutbacks have completely cut care. I have an appointment with Dr. Boerma at the obesity clinic next month to see if I am eligible for a GBP so that I can finally get rid of my overweight and sugar and other health problems so that I can stop taking the many medicines and if that permission comes, then I go under the knife with full confidence !! A good ten for Zuylder hospital Heerlen

Care is simply denied here. If you indicate that y...

Care is simply denied here. If you indicate that you have a lot of pain in all your limbs, back and shoulders all day long, you have difficulty urinating, you have gone through your back, you will simply be refused an MRI scan. All symptoms for a nerve block are present. After repeatedly asking for an MRI, the specialist continues to refuse because there is no reason for her after a physical test and EMG test. Unbelievable! Nerves are working so it is ready for them. Yes nerves do work yes that's why I'm bursting with pain. What do they want? That I become paralyzed and only then have an operation?
While another specialist had strong suspicions that this is the case.
She did not take my complaints seriously and did not even answer them. I received a comment that basically stated that I should not be appointed.
I have made a complaint about this. I have received feedback on this. But there is also not much they can do other than forward the complaint to the relevant specialist of Neurology.
Doctors have taken an oath and are required to provide care to people in need of care. Zuyderland is failing enormously here.
You are simply sent to the pain clinic so that they do not have to operate on you, because that is too expensive. Just like the MRI scan. It's not about people just about money anymore. I will not let this get on me and will inform the media about this. I pay for care every month and I am entitled to good care.
Some people come here and get all the care for free and good care too. Shame on you! Deeply ashamed to send people away who are in a lot of pain.
I am going to Genk and if it turns out that something is wrong, I will come back to Zuyderland.

Have been to Genk in the meantime. Had an MRI and an EMG. Everything done very professionally. The same day I received the results and good follow-up advice on how to proceed. ZoL Genk advised me against the pain clinic while Zuyderland recommended the pain clinic to me as the only option. Really unheard of!

I do not recommend this hospital to anyone! Money goes for people!

One time you wonder what kind of clowns work here in the department and they stand fluttering in the front with their flags against the collective labor agreement debacle and the other time in another department where things are a lot more serious (which I think would always be appropriate, because after all you are not here for pleasure) you think it is possible anyway; One department is not the other, we will say.

We have 4 very bad experiences with this hospital.
patient 1: lie on the EH for 3.5 hours with a cracked abdominal aneurysm
patient 2: lung cancer with heart rhythm disorders. Absolutely not knowing how to handle it.
patient 3: maintain that she had cancer while it turned out not to be so.
patient 4: colon cancer with compications. The kidney failure was not recognized
The biggest problem with this hospital is the attitude. There are no words to describe the suffering and sorrow that has been caused.

My grandmother was admitted with an infection. Because she had 2 tias 5 years ago, she is partially paralyzed and can no longer speak. After the first 2 days in the acute admission department, where everything was well organized, she was transferred to a normal department. On the acute admission they took time for her, quietly helping her eat for an hour until she had finished her plate. In contrast to the normal department where she is now, it is said that she does not eat well, because they do not have time to feed her as they say. My grandmother is very sensitive to stimuli, they leave the room of the door open and then start shouting from one side of the hall to the other. Grandma used to live in a nursing home before but was transferred to the hospital because of the infection because they could provide better care here. Not helping people with food by saying we don't have time because there are only 2 people in the whole department, I find it utterly outrageous! A hospital should provide the care that people need, if this means that they have to be fed, they should do the same.

My compliments for the employees. We are expertly and quickly helped. Here people work with passion, you notice that everything.

The rooms are modern and well equipped. If I should post a comment; the sofa bed in the nursery was very hard, actually too hard to sleep on for several nights. But everything else perfect; good medical care and food is also well organized.

4.15 pm With toddler at the GP post. She had leg pain after fall. First assistant doctor, then pictures another student doctor. Toddler was exhausted and had not eaten anymore. Then wait for another doctor. 12 men staff yes really 12 men were talking together or busy with their mobile phones. The desk ladies were also busy discussing their carnival outfit. First nicely asked how long it will take. It was not really busy but nothing happened. In response, a blunt mouth from the staff. Don't even ask if the toddler wants a sandwich or a drink. Nothing. Waited there for 3 hours and then she got a cast. It was now 8 pm !!!!!!!!
Empathy and empathy are totally lacking in this department. Only the lady in the plaster room was nice to my child.

This is not the first time this has happened in this department. Shame on you !!!!

Very changing experience with different specialties. Very good and caring, however, also mistakes that were unfortunately not recognized as such, and the latter is important to continue to have faith!

Then the parking policy and the restaurant, people do not visit the Hospital for an outing, are often in suspense and want to eat something. Both the parking is very expensive and also a small or larger snack, in my opinion for a Hospital prices out of proportion!

Very bad and very dated hospital. It is called, in my area, not without reason: "the abattoir". Unfortunately been several times and always wait hours and hours without getting any information.

Last time due to an accident, a possible wrist fracture. Been able to wait for hours and hours (it wasn't busy). First a friendly intern came and examined me and a little later the doctor joined. This female doctor was really close to retirement: very cold and distant. No feeling at all with the patient. The name 'sour old tongs' would suit her better. I had to take a paracetamol for the pain .... Now months later I still have problems with my wrist. Never again that I go to the emergency room in the Zuyderland in Heerlen! ! !

What is striking in this hospital is the big difference in departments.
On floor 5 the heart monitoring the staff is just perfect and out of the art, they really do everything for the people to feel comfortable.
But if you have to go to a different floor, it's just crying.
There is no interest in the patient, they would rather talk to each other than do their work.
With them you really have the feeling they are counting down until their service is over.
How you think you can strengthen people there enough to go home afterwards remains a big mystery.

Zuyderland medical center very poor hospital. They let me walk with hip dysplasia for 20 years. I supposedly had nothing and had to see a psychologist. Psychologist also told me what I came to do with him and advised me to request a 2nd opinion. I did this, during the first examination (other hospital) it already came out that I have hip dysplasia. But unfortunately Heerlen let me walk so long that the only option was new hips on both sides. So Zuyderland Medical Center ... I'm not crazy !! But you have shown that to me for years. While there is nothing wrong between my ears. But solid physical what I have.

It is quite a good hospital, but to be honest, I have no good experience with nursing, from department 11. 2 months ago I was there, after a hernia operation, suddenly I am transferred to a room alone, you know how traumatic that is , if you did not get a visit, yes from a friend. In the evening I was told, while I am so in pain, madam if it is still the night, then you may ask for heavy pain relief, that night was REALLY a HELL, I just squeak the button, the sister in question wanted do not help me, I told her upset, a paracetamol, is not going to help, and it did not help either, the morning shift did not go up, about the night sister. So soon I had seen it with the nursing staff, because everyone is doing politics to friends of course, and I started to act like it was going well, that I was back home soon. I have to be operated again, but I hope it will be day nursing, so I will not be treated again. If I was unreasonable to the nursing, it could still have been understood, but not now, a sister went very far, and started playing with me pschycologically. I was glad that I was allowed to go home soon, at least I could recover from the operation without stress. Furthermore, I myself have no problems with the hospital, only with the nursing staff. I never hope to be in such a bad situation again. But it is true, we people must respect the assistance, but conversely, it should be the same. If, by the way, the operation is again soon, and it turns out that I am hospitalized for more than 1 day, I will go to a private clinic.
