Very bad treatment. Ophthalmologist Missotten has received a disciplinary measure from the Regional Disciplinary Court in The Hague. Because of him I was blind for a year and could only see again (with an artificial lens) after an operation in another hospital. He is also on the blacklist of doctors. Think before you get treated! Eventually they made a settlement (MediRisk insurance that I call MediRAT) for thousands of euros, but they do not admit guilt, do not apologize and my eye as it was before I met those craftsman Missots never comes back. Stay away from that man if your eyes are dear to you.

Very professional and very experienced staff who help you in a friendly and clear manner. We visited the hospital with a family member for an operation. You can follow the operation on a monitor in the waiting room if you wish. (It is true to which operation) but for me really a plus point. Only downside is the parking. They do have valet parking.

Last Friday, my 94-year-old grandmother had to be treated to her eye, been to nearby hospitals multiple times, and couldn't find anything. After 4 hospital visits finally referred to the eye hospital, after several tests finally diagnosed, and they also found out that she should have taken medicines for years. The rehabilitation center had forgotten to pass this on to the nursing home where she is staying, how amateurish !!

Anyway, what super friendly and patient doctors in the eye hospital !! Hats off to them!

The parking service is also nice, I believe 8, - but if you are in a hurry it is very nice. It is no fun in the city center to find a parking space.

Due to an accident at work I have now become blind...

Due to an accident at work I have now become blind in my right eye.
I was referred by the doctor in breda the day it happened to the eye hospital in rotterdam and i was very happy about that. If they had operated my breda i would have had to give up my eye because they told me because the steel splinter which in my view was so big (11mm long and 3mm wide) that they could not have done it right there until now, but I lost my view but by a great team led by I have been able to keep my eye at the Etten ophthalmologist. I also really like the staff there, I have now operated three times and have already been around 15 times and you are received very well and are helped with everything from the parking service. to the ophthalmologist everyone is great there.I want to thank you very much for what you have been able to do for me and I will have to go there several times from eastern wood but if you get something on your eye then you r that is what i know now.

The service has deteriorated in recent years. First a mistake was made with my lens. At the moment I called (shortly after receipt) to indicate that the lens leads to irritation. I was then told that I had to wait a month because the doctor was on vacation. After a month went by and did not receive a new lens. So I had to wear my old lens for half a year. Now finally ordered new lenses, after having done a year with half year lenses. ordered more than 2 weeks ago, still nothing inside. After having had telephone contact with the operator, I was told that it could take at least 2 weeks. That while the lens with which I have kept it for a year is worn on the edges. So now again 2 weeks without lenses. Dramatic service. In the past it was unfortunately different.

Helped nicely, right on time.
Having to search for a parking space is not nice when you have a hospital, so that is a disadvantage. A private parking for hospital visitors would certainly not be an unnecessary luxury.

The appointment was to place a lens (family member), patient agreed. In the end, a whole operation was performed than was agreed and the eye no longer looks overwhelming. So make clear agreements, record it on paper or record the conversation with the specialist / performing doctor, before you know it, another operation will be performed.

My eye is really ruined in Terneuzen. I just saw well before the operation and now almost blind because of Boeyden.
Dr van Meurs is doing everything to improve this.
Valet parking: good.

I was helped by 13 February last. o.a. Ophthalmologist Bart Zijlmans. He has placed an artificial lens. What a craftsmanship .. Also the preparation of intake up to and including sedation went great. And especially eyesight is top again.

Appointment at half past three for my grandfather of 88yrs, present 10min in advance, then had to wait for 45 minutes and still not helped, until I walk to the counter 13 and say something about it, they seem to have forgotten to register him, so then only helped for an eye drop, now more than an hour further back to counter 13 and waiting for the ophthalmologist while we would be helped, not so !!! We do not receive compensation for parking meter because according to those children who are playing behind the counter here ... we are still in our agreements tyd !!!!!!! Incredible !!!! Do you have complaints that are Covid-related?" If your appointment is not within 15 minutes, you will be asked to take a seat or wait outside. But this is also the only less pleasant thing about a visit to this hospital.

The staff are mostly very friendly, professional and dedicated. Whatever you come for, they are always willing to help you, refer you if you have gone wrong or tell you about an upcoming check-up or procedure. I have undergone two operations and several checks here in recent months and I am impressed by the organization, the follow-up and the guidance.

The fact that you have several appointments consecutively on one day is also very customer-friendly for patients who have to come from afar. Keep it up !!!!!! I am happy to be a patient with you !!!

Operated twice by doctor Paridaens for eye disease Graves. This doctor is beyond fantastic. The best surgeon in Graves!
He is also a nice and friendly man, he has empathy and listens carefully to his patients. This fine man really became a doctor to mean something, to help his patients the best he can!
That's why I give this hospital 5 stars. And that's really only for Dr. Paridaens.
I think hospital is a bit outdated, parking is a disaster and very pricey and there is no cozy canteen to wait.
Hospital staff all very friendly.
But twice a year I enjoy driving an hour to this hospital, you guessed it, because of Dr. Paridaens.

Not too long ago went to the Eye Hospital. I had neatly registered with the relevant desk clerk and he indicated that I had to take a seat in the waiting room. After waiting for half an hour to three quarters, I approached the employee in question and indicated that I am waiting very long. Despite the fact that this Eye Hospital has a good reputation when it comes to their medical treatment, the staff around the often knowledgeable doctors are completely unaware of the location of this hospital. People are brought in from far and wide in a way that people think that Rotterdam is the center of the world and then this staff reacts rather annoyed when you indicate that the Eye Hospital is not very flexible when making appointments.
Apparently taking a photo is only possible with their camera and apparently all other hospitals in the Netherlands are unaware of taking a good photo. As a hospital you may be very skilled, but in 2017 this monopolistic attitude is extremely strange. There is still a lot to catch up with in this area for the Rotterdam Eye Hospital.

This is serious and relates to the doctor I have been dealing with. I had an injury to my eyes due to a crime in which my eyes were depressed. The "eye doctor" pressed my eyes again with the argument "I have to put your eyes right". The amount of pressure force he used was absurd because of the resistance I had to offer to not be pushed back. I admitted it at that time because yes, he was a doctor. He was honestly just like a psychopath who had committed the crime. On closer inspection I give the doctor the benefit of the doubt because I was traumatized during the treatment, but still, he pressed hard. He was shaking completely as he energized.

What a puppet show !? Or circus! ? Bad staff who only chat with each other 2nd floor desk 28, Monday 9.30 am an appointment for eye surgery for my mother neatly on time. Went to the counter at 10 a.m. to ask about the appointment ...? sign with briefly absent for a few minutes. 15 minutes later nobody! ! at 10.20 am I heard talk so back to the counter. There we saw 2 sisters talking to the desk clerk. When I asked how it was with the 9.30 am appointment, one of the sisters responded that she is now being picked up. I also saw a doctor on Wednesday for a check-up in front of my mother's eye, but this Dr. Meurs was so smart about a prescription that he would almost get a prescription from his colleague! What a jerk you say !!?

Never treated so rude by a very ignorant receptionist in the general eye department. If you want to express your dissatisfaction on social media, they will immediately block you ... Search further and certainly do not go to this amateur hospital. 1 star is too much!

February 5 operated on an posterior retinal detachment by Dr. Van Elten, what a craftsmanship had not a single pain and pain! June 19 got a new lens by Dr Zijlmans, the same story doesn't hurt a bit and I see how it should be again! Thank these two doctors very much!
And don't forget the staff, friendly, helpful and knowledgeable!
In short, eye hospital rotterdam is a must if you want good help!
Don't forget .... you only have 2 eyes, be careful with that I have learned now!

I have herpes in my eye. I was given pills for this (famciclovir). The pills are enormously expensive. 300 euros for 45 tablets. The pills gave me a huge rash all over my body.

The herpes in my eye is still not resolved after eighteen months. I have also received eye drops (dexametazole). I still don't see any better and the bottle on my eye is still not gone

The only person who has improved here is the hospital and the pharmaceutical industry.

I had a retinal detachment at a very young age (15), I was operated on for this at this hospital, the expected vision after a retinal operation is 40%. 2 years after the surgery I was able to regain 100% vision. They also found a starting retinal detachment in my other eye, this eye was then lasered and has 100% vision. Thanks. I am 18 now but after reading many bad reviews wanted to add my own. I have not encountered any of the criticisms myself, as I come here every year.
