They are making the best of a wet and messy situation. I enjoyed the food and drinks.

Our favorite restaurant!! Staff is always friendly and courteous, adapting very well and very efficiently during this pandemic. Food is always excellent and just can't beat the view! Excellent outdoor dining on the water!

Best food ever! The crab cakes are out of this world. Actually all of the food is! Friendly staff and quick service. Worth the wait if you go when there is a line though that goes fast.

No frills!! Darn good food!!! Think relaxed on the water and you're there! It's a local place so don't go if you're looking to get your butt kissed! It's paper plates and seat yourself but the food is GREAT!

Everything good as usual... excellent homemade potato salad, onion rings, tuna fish, steam shrimps to the perfection. Great views.

I recommend the shrimp! So yummy! I also had the crabcake and yellowtail. The yellowtail was kinda dry, but still good.

Failed to live up to the hype. It is never fair to judge on a single visit but after reading some of the reviews in advance of our visit, we left disappointed. Food was not bad but was not great either. Service was friendly. Prices were ok. Shrimp, burger, tuna sandwich were all average. Conch fritters had little discernible conch meat. Salads were good. Fries were not fresh.

Delightful spot to dine on the waterfront. Docks for people to arrive by boat if they desire to do so. Food and service is so great that you have e to stand in line for an hour or more at times to wait. Family friendly and couples alike.

Best location for a pretty view while your munchin on some grindage.

Good local seafood shack type restaurant. Order at the counter then they bring you your food. Largish dining room has nice views of the water. Reasonably priced.

Provision Company is always a must for my family and I! The food is always great and so is the service! Awesome views too!

I visited this place on the recommendation of several local residents. They were not wrong....its awesome! I had a Blackened Yellowfin Tuna Sandwich with Potato Salad, and the Bourbon Pecan Pie. The sandwich was amazing. Perfectly seasoned, excellent flavor. The potato salad is delicious as well, with red skinned potatoes with some peeling left, celery, celery seed, and a creamy dressing (maybe mayo based?). The pie though....it was awesome, moist flaky crust, nice bourbon flavored glaze, and delicious filling. In fact, I enjoyed this meal so much I went back the next day to try the crab cake sandwich. It was really good too, but could use more lump crab meat to really get the crab flavor and give the crab cake a "meatier" texture vs breading.

The tuna sandwich is fantastic! I ve been going to this place since I was a little kid and it will never get old. The staff is always so welcoming, getting to sample shrimp while in line is my favorite thing. Don t let this little shack shock you, it s a hidden gem!

If you only have one day off the beach, make sure you stop by Provisions for a taste of all that's local. The setting is uniquely situated along the intercoastal with dozens of boaters sure to capture your attention, distracting you oh so breathlessly as you wait for a chance to place your order for this tasty southern cuisine.

It was OK. The conch fritters were way over seasoned and the peel and eat shrimp was under seasoned. I don't know why they say they are known for it. Swains is a better choice if it's open.

Counter order with a wait and good food.

Setup is not like your typical restaurant. Long wait (you can get drinks while waiting though) after adding our name to the list. Once called, you go inside and place your order at the counter, grab a drink and go sit down at reserved table. Food came out quickly and was good with good size portions.

It was incredible. The food was Excellent. The staff was awesome. Great atmosphere and a great view. Will definitely eat here again.

Great shrimp shack. Casual is the key word, but shrimp doesn't get much better than this. I can attest to the quality of the steamed shrimp, grouper sandwich, crab cakes, salads, and conch fritters (get them!).

Great food, good atmosphere, not bad prices. If you have never been and youre trying to decide between here and fishy fishy... pick this place.

Known for fresh seafood which I don't eat. So can't rate that. I ordered a burger and was served the tasteless burger on a stale bun. The onion rings were good.

My aunt introduced me to this place and I'm so glad she did. If I lived anywhere nearby this would be a go-to place for sure. The food was perfect and reasonably priced. The staff was so friendly it felt like a family cook out. And, as a boy from the desert, seeing boats come and go from the docks attached to the patio was so much fun. 5 stars for sure and I will hopefully return.

So we were told they do not take takeout orders over the phone after 6... but we can come place an order in person and wait for it to be done. What is the point of that? Just To make me have to wait there? Unbelievable.

Great food... Great prices... Awesome staff... And amazing location!! The Provision Company is located right on the water so boats can dock in the water and cars can park close... So everyone can eat!! The food is cook as you order, the service was fast and friendly and the prices are great!! They also sell The Provision Company merchandise at the restaurant and across the street!!

A perfect combination of seafood and coastal atmosphere. We've been coming here for decades for their boiled shrimp and conch fritters (to which we are addicted).

Very cool system how the restaurant is run. Great service, great fresh caught seafood. Get the shrimp and the crab cakes! There was a wait but they get people in and out quickly. Will be back!

Provision Company is one of my favorite restaurants on the water. Watch the boats go by as you eat. The menu is limited but good. The atmosphere, very casual and laid back. Need a beer? Just go to one of the reefers and grab one. They use the honor system. When you go to pay your bill, just let the cashier know how many you had.
And you can arrive by boat. They have their own dock slips. In the summer on weekends though, it can be tricky finding a vacant one.

Stellar service, great location, and delicious food. So many seafood restaurants near the coast love to pawn off frilly, lower quality fried dishes... this place is the real deal. Had 1/2 lb. of shrimp and conch fritters. All around delicious, some of the best shrimp I have ever had. Almost came back for dinner. Will be coming here again when I have the chance to return to Southport.

Expected to wait but worth it. Love my shrimp crab cake platter. Been there and will keep going back.

Food and service was incredible. They're also very cautious about customers not wearing masks while not seated at their table.

We are locals and have been here twice because we had guests that wanted to eat out. Ordering is very chaotic and food mediocre but expensive. Wouldn t choose this place on my own.

Provision is hands down the best seafood in the cape fear area. We come across the ferry just for a grouper salad sandwich!

An alright place to eat, but I'm not from around the area. It's a seafood place but I got a burger; better than fast food but nothing amazing. Drinks are self serve and paid via honor system, which is kind of neat. Very busy and right on the waterline, but it doesn't smell overwhelmingly fishy or anything.

It was great as always! O.... the cucumber salad maybe not. Byer everything else!

Great place too eat. Right on the water. Whole family comes and eats here at least 3 times when we come on vacation too eat. Service is great and food is amazing. Their shrimp is the best and don't even get me started on the onion rings. I definitely refer this for a place too eat if you come to South Port or Oak Island

I've been visiting Provisions for almost 30 years. I grew up eating there whenever visiting family in Southport. This place remains consistently awesome. Conch, fritters, grouper salad, and shrimp are my go-tos. The setting is perfect for a casual meal. I had the pleasure of bringing my first child there last weekend. I could not recommend this place more highly.

Great seafood. My son says they have the best crab cakes in the world. Perfectly seasoned peel and eat shrimp. The specials are reasonably priced. It's different than other seafood places. Wait in a line (a line is always a good sign) but you can go in and get your drink to enjoy before you order. A waiter comes out and takes an item like your hat or sunglasses and saves you a table. Order at the counter then find your table. Watch boats come and go while you enjoy seafood that is worth the waiting in line!

Easily one of my favorite best restaurants in the North Carolina. Great food, great people, great ambience.
