Excellent food and atmosphere. Can be a little pricey though

Felt a little rushed in selecting food. Just never been to a restaurant like this. I think beach people would be fine with it. Food was good.

No frills Southport staple.. Try the steamed clams good deal and good eats.

Best seafood in Southport! Phenomenal steamed shrimp and crab cakes. Try the Lunch Special and order extra shrimp. There are plenty of choices for non-seafood lovers, too.

Very quick service but a bit different. We've been to Southport many times but for some reason never visited Provision. Great food and great prices. The ordering and seating process take some getting used to but overall, great!

Food very bland. Had a grouper salad sandwich and the roll was the best part. Disappointed. Service was fast and servers friendly.

Superior experience. Interesting format but the maitre'd explains it well so you feel welcome and confident. The crab cakes were exceptional. The shrimp was delicious. The view was great. The breeze was perfect. I can't wait to go again.

Absolutely the best seafood restaurant ive ever been to. Service was excellent, fast, and pleasant. Prices are quite affordable and the view is great. Food was quickly prepared and extremely fresh! I probably ate way more than i shouldve!!

Scenery is awesome! Food was great! Wait people need to keep private conversations to themselves. Clients don't want to hear about their problems. Ordering did not go well. Mom, on Mother's Day weekend, asked for no tomatoes on her sandwich. Wait person insisted it would be on the side, even though Mom did not want it on her plate at all. Sandwich arrived with tomato on the sandwich! What the heck!!!! While paying, person was told of problem and was not interested in hearing about it. People need to be a lot more interested in what the customer wants/needs. It could have been an allergy issue!!!

Line can be long and parking hard to find. Both are worth dealing with for the good shrimp. Other options are available for non seafood people.

This place is great! I love the casual atmosphere and the friendly staff. I had the steamed shrimp. It was the best I've ever had.

Great, friendly people, food can be light or heavy so something for everyone. On the water! Honor system for beer and you can take one while you wait :-)

Fantastic experience by the water side. Theee Special was great with steamed shrimp, crab cakes, and corn.

Waited 30 mins to be seated to spend $10 on the most below average burger of my life. Only taste came from the condiments and nothing from the actual burger (besides for burn marks on the bottom of it) Fries were alright but not enough to save the meal in the slightest. I have no idea why people like this place so much. The waitstaff is really kind but you never interact with them since they're never at your table besides when they originally bring you the food.

Food was incredible. This place is old school still works on the honor system so cool to see this kind of environment still thriving in today's world. Whole family had a blast eating on the water!

Food was great. I've gone here 4 times now and always get the special. Best sweet tea, also!

The fishy fish place next door left me hanging for 25 min without a glass of water, so I came here, and I am glad that I did! Awesome place! It is very casual. Walk in, place your order, grab a drink. Drinks are on the honor system! Self serve beer, tea, soda & wine! The food came out 10min after I ordered it. I had the crab cake and shrimp combo, which is a popular item here, and it was excellent. No fried fish was on the menu; only grilled. Various staff members came by to remove plates from time to time. I will be back!

Mediocre food at best. Overpriced and overrated. We tried to sit at a table by the water, and they wouldn't let us pull up an extra chair for my child. We were told we had to move to a different table away from the water. Disappointing. Not worth the drive from Oak Island.

Friendly staff, food was far less than expected. Crab cake dinner was disappointing, as the crab cake was mostly bread and weakly seasoned. The accompanying cucumber salad and potato salads were good. Onion rings were good. The Key Lime pie and Bourbon pecan pies were lackluster and portions very small. Looking around at other's I decided to return for shrimp in the future.

Blah, crab cast mostly breading, over cooked tuna. Shrimp ok, setting, atmosphere and view are beautiful just wish the food was better.

The food was great! We were in the area and wanted seafood, the peel and eat shrimp and the tuna steaks were delicious! Also, the Painkiller was perfect!

We ALWAYS come here for every vacation we have on Oak Island... You have to make Provisions a place to stop. Atmosphere is awesome, so is the staff. Food is great, kids will love it, and you have to do dessert across the street. If you can make a sunset then you have really hit it!!

Amazing crab cakes, shrimp and beautiful atmosphere. Located across from the harbor, guests can enjoy a laid back meal on the water while watching the sun set. Service was very friendly and menu was limited, but everything offered is wonderful.

Came on recommendation from my son. Food was fantastic, prices very reasonable and staff were great. Kid friendly and outdoor seating. Will return again and again. You cannot go wrong here!

This place is the best to eat in Southport! The food is delicious! Outside seating by the water is great, normally there is a nice breeze. Again the food is great, very good selection of beer, and normal selection of fountain drinks. Definitely worth your time to stop for lunch or supper.
