This was a great place to have a meal. Drinks on the honor system. Wife had shrimp and conch fritters. Both of them were great!! I had salad with chicken and it was huge. Loved it . My brother had yellow fin tuna which was awesome. Same with my son-in-law. A great place to eat

We came here for our honeymoon 4 years ago (and each year after) and have made sure to brag about the great service and amazing food to everyone. A must have anniversary celebration for us annually. The crabcakes, shrimp and view are all a solid 10/5 star quality, definitely recommend

What a wonderful place!! From one restaurant owner to another best food we have found so far! Great staff great drinks and great atmosphere! My husband is a very picky person and he didn't have one thing to say bad about this place!! Most times he would rather cook himself bc he is so hard to please but you all did amazing! We will definitely be back! Thanks for a great dinner!! James M.

What's there to say that hasn't been said? It's an institution. Order your food, get a number, get some drinks, hang out on the patio, sit under the 50 ceiling fans, enjoy a good dinner with a great view. Go in the off season for front row dining during the sunset. Eat conch fritters.

Great view, very crowded though and you do a lot of waiting. Plus for some reason if you sit at the bar you have to walk inside and get your own beers which they ask you to keep track of yourself instead of running a tab. They stay so busy they seem to not have to care if you enjoy yourself the service or the food.

Laid back. GORGEOUS views. Hometown vibe. Order when you walk in, grab a drink and sit down. A server will deliver your food and drinks are self serve and on the honor system. Pay as you're finished and walking out. Everyone is helpful and very aware we're there to take pictures of everything lol It's a truly incredible experience and delicious food

If you are looking for "high-brow" cuisine...go some someplace else...if you want great seafood with the easiest attitude and oh by the way "grab your own beers and drinks and just let us know how many you had at the end!!" This is absolutely the best there is!! This and Little Bits are the 2 restaurants part of our annual beach trip that never change. Word of warning, however, if you don't want to wait an hour be here early!! After 5:30....good luck! Everyone and there brother will be standing outside with you watching the lucky ones eat crab cakes and pounds of fresh shrimp, cucumber salad, corn on the cob, and washing it all down with refreshments on the honor system. Don't leave though, just put your name on the list, grab a beer and wait.

The good: shrimp was great, so was the corn on the cob. Dining area was roomy with great views. Staff all very friendly. The bad: the crab cakes. I struggled to find much crab meat at all. The crab cakes were well-cooked and seemed generous in size, but they were all cake and no crab. If you've had a deviled crab at an inland restaurant as an "early bird special" then you know what I'm talking about. I was very disappointed in these as everything else seemed to be fresh.

Provision Company is a staple of every Oak Island vacation. Friendly staff, great service, and excellent food, all in a very Hemingway vibe. And during this visit amid COVID 19, the staff made all the right moves to make everyone feel safe. Can't recommend highly enough!

Known for their peel n eat shrimp but try the tuna steaks. Absolutely delicious !! Wonderful waterfront atmosphere. Be prepared to wait in line during summer peak time but well worth the wait. Voted best seafood joint by Coastal Living magazine several years ago. When in Southport this is THE place to eat. Accomodates all size groups.

Always enjoy eating here while we are at the beach. I'm partial to the Tuna sandwich myself. For what it's worth, I'm not sure that it necessarily lives up to all the substantial hype but it's got a nice vibe and the food is good. Worth a try if you're around. Flava's across the street has good ice cream for dessert.

This place is casual, good location on the water. We've tried a lot of different dishes, and they have all been good. It's nothing fancy, but the food and service are consistent. They have their service model down to a science, so we know exactly what to expect every time we go there.

If you want fancy, look elsewhere. But if you want a great, very casual meal, sitting under cover overlooking the water, this place is for you. Friendly wait staff. Order like a deli, food is delivered to your table. After you order, you turn and pull whatever drink you want from the coolers, be it beer, wine, soda, or water. Pay on your way out, telling them what drinks you pulled from the cooler, an honor system type of purchase. Simple. Best place to eat in town!

Kind of an unusual ordering/seating experience, but the food was awesome. My friends voted to dine here, but I don't like seafood, so I braced myself for disappointment and ordered a cheeseburger. To my surprise, it was actually delicious! Honestly, I would return just for the ; the dockside view & great prices are just a bonus.

I know I'll get lots of flack for this review, but I am not a fan!! The model of ordering, standing in line, getting drinks is convoluted. Lots of overlap and slow moving people! The sweet tea wasn't sweet enough, the lemons were too small to get any juice and my crabcake was overcooked. The Southport location does have great seating though.
