Best place in Southport. Everything you get is amazing. Great unique atmosphere. Great staff.

We usually vacation in this area every year. We stop by Provisions at least 3 times in a week because it s that good. Not only is the food great, but the atmosphere makes this place! You get a beautiful view of the waterway and boats. The staff is always very friendly and upbeat despite the heat in the small space they have. I don t know how they do it!

Great steamed shrimp, tuna sandwich. The hamburgers are good too!

After being nearly destroyed by Hurricane Florence, The Provision Company is back in business and going strong!

The water views are very nice. The service model is efficient and interesting. The staff are all very friendly. The steamed shrimp were excellent, the grilled tuna was not fantastic, and the crab cake imperial while good is not my favorite type of crab cake.

If there's a line outside..... Wait! This place is amazing. The experience is a little chaotic but once you're sitting it's all good fun.

When we travel from WNC to any of the beaches we ALWAYS make time to eat here. Always!!! It has been a family favorite for many years.

Nice setting on the water. Steamed shrimp were good. The tuna was a very generous portion but lacking in flavor. Corn on the cob was watery but it often tends to be so when we eat out. Service was good and very quick. Food was at our table almost as soon as sat down.

Great views from the outdoor seating. Very casual, laid back atmosphere. Order at the counter, grab a self service beer /drink from the cooler and head out for a table. Steamed shrimp is outstanding. Friendly service and great food. Highly recommend!

Had to wait in line to give order like a deli. Asked for help with gluten free and they said salad and shrimp not bother to mention they had a shrimp salad. My bill was almost 17.00 for a shrimp salad that I had to peel the shrimp. I could of got a great shrimp salad next door at the frying pan for 14.95 with fruit and almonds and the shrimp is peeled. I will never go back there. Also The Frying Pan will wait on you .

Cannot beat the Grilled Yellow Fin Tuna and that Awesome Sunset.

Waited 1.5 hours to be seated. Cheeseburger under cooked. Chicken tenders, no dipping sauces. Coca Cola flat. Cheeseburger, 2 orders of chicken tenders and a tuna sandwich and 3 drinks $50.00. Should have went to Burger King. Never go back.

Three of us went to Provision Company for our first time. And we understand why folks love it. Each of us couldn't resist ordering their specialty - the Thee Platter, and we didn't regret it as it was on target. The Conch fritters were probably the best I've had all along the East Coast. The food, the views & the staff - ALL OUTSTANDING!

Went while on our honeymoon. Food was amazing. Staff was very friendly and helpful. This is a true mom and pop hidden gem. Prices where very reasonable. No hype. No frills. Just awesome food and a great view from the dining area outside. Will visit again next time we visit for our anniversary

The food was pretty good but definitely not somewhere I would want to eat frequently at. Just to warn you it is outdoors so it gets very windy.

Thanks s is a fun little self service joint. Don't be afraid of a line out front. It moves pretty quickly. The crab cakes are the best in the area. The shrimp is good too. Don't forget to finish with a piece of key lime pie. I'll be back.

Food was overcooked, expensive, had to wait on ourselves. It may have just been a bad day for them, but nonetheless, I wasn't impressed.

One of our favorite eateries EVER! Our family has been going to the Outdoor Provision Company for years. Truly an island feel with wonderful food and service. They have the best chili cheeseburger on the planet. Enjoy awesome views of the Intracoastal Waterway with sailboats and motor boats while you enjoy a great meal with a salt breeze.

It''s a great water-side restaurant. The grilled tuna was excellent, my kids said the burgers were great, and my wife loved the special. Definitely a place to return to again.

The best place to eat in Southport! I've been driving down to Provision Company for decades! The food is always amazing and the view is perfect!! Tonight we had the 1/2 lb shrimp platter that comes with a crab cake and corn on the cob! We did not leave a single leftover on either plate! Would highly recommend Provision Company!! Best food!

Definately a tourist type place. Wonderful place to sit and look at the water. Its and outside place right on the docks. Really enjoyed the atmosphere. Food was just ok. I liked the frying pan better. Got the grilled tuna sandwich along with onion rings. The conch fritters were tasty but the conch was unedible. Couldn't even bite through it. Lots of free parking in the lot.

This place is an experience all it s own and I love it! It s located right on the water and all dinning is outside underneath a roof to shield you from the sun! The system is a little different but once you catch on it s very easy! You walk in, look at the specials on the counter and the old school chalkboard menu, which starts off the nostalgic feels! You place your order at the counter....and here s the cool part....you HELP YOURSELF to your drinks, including beer and wine out the cooler while you re there. Completely on the honor system. You just tell them what you had and how many when you pay and the counter when you leave!! You walk out onto the dinning room floor, pick your favorite seat and they bring the food to you. If it s really busy you put your name on the list outside first and wait to be seated at a table before you order. But you STILL get to help YOURSELF to beer, wine and soda while you wait. Still on the honor system and still don t have to pay until you pay later. The staff is always happy and helpful. The food is amazing! And the view of the water is perfect! Don t miss out on the sunset!!

Very nice, sea side restaurant. The atmosphere is great.
The seafood is pretty good and fresh. Prices can be a little steep for what you get, but not totally unexpected for the area.
They also have burgers and tenders for those who don't like fish.

Favorite place in Southport. Very basic affordable food but absolutely delicious. The boiled shrimp were full of flavor and the southern crab cakes were delightful as well.

The place was very mediocre. They only had about 2-4 seafood options and the rest was chicken based foods. On top of this the seafood they had was either shrimp or grouper salad, which was not good at all. Overall a bad experience that led me feeling worse than before I came.

Excellent seafood. Check times as it does get crowded.

A Southport must. Honor System beer! May be a wait, but grab beers out of the cooler as you wait! Grab some ice-cream across the road after your meal.

If I could give the Provision Company more stars I absolutely would. The owners, management, staff, food, and view are all amazing! The only thing I wish they did differently is stay open year around so we could enjoy them even more!

To the commenter that posted 2 months ago about antipasto... that was NOT the Provision Company - It must have been their next door neighbor... Provision Company is closed Nov-Mar and they do NOT serve antipasto. Go back during season and visit the PROVISION COMPANY - you won't be disappointed!

Omg the seafood gumbo was amazing! The shrimp are obviously delicious too! Will definitely be back in the warmer months for sure! The view is so beautiful of the ICWW and mouth of the Cape Fear.
