The theater itself is very nice. Good sound, good view from all seats. The parking lot, however, is absolutely abysmal. And recently, apparently, they decided to charge $10 to park in it. Everyone is much better off parking in nearby garages to avoid extreme hassle of getting out of that terrible parking lot.

The theater ida nice but they need to tell people, if you are in the highest part of the balcony, be aware u have a few flights of stairs to climb and a place for seniors. The manager would not let us move seats without paying extra, mind you my parent was handicap with a cane and could not walk those stairs without much assistance and the manager was not the most accommodating to seniors or people with disabilities without trying to squeeze a dollar.. WICKED WAS AMAZING other than that, eh wont be back soon

Great venue and great shows. We just saw The Book of Mormon there which was hysterical. Relatively easy to get in and out of and adequate parking close by. The concession lines are long but move fast. Can't wait for the next show!

Took son to see Lion King. They didn't start on time. People were allowed to keep coming in during performances which was rather distracting. Intermission was more like 30 mins than the 15 mins. Men's bathrooms only on 1st and 2nd floors. Even the seating wouldn't have been so bad had people actually sat back in seats. As another reviewer noted cramped hallways not quite sure how they improve it without building a new facility or major renovation. Luckily even getting to venue an hour in advance I was able to find free parking...

For such a large theatre, gammage is really quite wonderful. I saw wicked there as I was able to get a single discount ticket for a really good price. It was a wonderful night and a great theatre.

We saw the musical Fun Home here tonight. The play and the cast were exceptional, we were helped with audio assisted devices, and the upgrades to ASU Gammage are evident-LOVE the huge women's bathrooms. As season ticket holders, we're looking forward to the other seven plays in the season. Arrive early as parking can be challenging.

Always a plesant time coming to see shows here. I recomend parking off site for ease of getting out afterward. Ushers are super helpful with finding your seats and offer additional assistance if needed.

Great show. But the isles were way to small up top. Seats were hard with no elbow room! Very warm! No air it felt like. The guides directed us in the wrong area TWICE. Sad for the price you pay n when you have to even PAY to PARK! Very disappointing to say the least.

This is the only venue for Broadway musicals. But the sound is terrible. They have mics but amplify very little. Plus the auditorium acoustics are very lacking. If you are in the balcony or under the balcony, it is very soft.
The only corrective to this is the limited headsets available on site. They are great is you can get one. You can actually hear the words.
The venue is large and simple desert Southwest. Nothing beautiful or special like some older theaters.
Parking is where you can find it, mostly. 88 spots for handicapped.

ASU Gammage is a beautiful, delightful venue. I appreciate that they bring in current top shows frequently, but also make sure to include lesser known standouts every season. Most seats are great. Can be a little difficult to navigate, but there are ushers everywhere and they are always kind, knowledgeable, and helpful.

Staff was great. They know what they are doing. And there isn't a bad seat in the house. We went to see Wicked and was fairly far back and to the side and could see and hear the show perfectly. A fantastic place to see a show.

It's strange that a fine arts venue like this goes so far to discourage patronage. Lets be clear, public transit in AZ is terrible. Driving is a must. So I find it strange that Gammage and ASU seem so determined to charge for parking. They have activated the parking meters when historically they were disabled to accommodate the necessary parking. They are now charging season ticket holders and regular ticket buyers parking fees with NO GUARANTEE of parking! This isn't listed as a parking fee but it pops up in your additional fees section of your invoice with no breakdown. Did you think we wouldn't notice the same price increase you tried to scam last year? They now allow food and drink into the shows as well. I've had alcohol spilled down the back of my shirt. I get to hear crunching and bags opening during the performances now and of course people are slobs so I'm stepping over more trash than I can even help pick up on my way out the door. GET YOUR ACT TOGETHER GAMMAGE! YOU ARE NOT WORTH THE PRICE!

Gammage is a great facility. The stage can be seen from the ground level as well as the balcony. I've never had a really bad seat for a show at Gammage. They offer quality shows. Parking is additional cost, or at least it was for our most recent show. It's a little congested frying to get into the parking and sometimes in the hallways before doors open but other wise it's great. They have places to buy drinks and souvenirs inside.

I've been going to gammage for many, many years. I've never had to pay for parking (especially handicapped). Without warning we were told $10 to park. Then it turned out there were no spaces available. We go in to the e-ticket only event only to find out that the wifi was terrible. We had to go to will call to get paper tickets, which I could have brought had I known. $500 for tickets and we missed the entire first song. Never in 20+ years has that happened.

Old building, but the facilities are well maintained. I've sat on both the second and third tiers. The seats aren't luxury, but they're good enough for the length of a performance. They might be too hard for someone who gets uncomfortable easily, while sitting, so you might want to bring a cushion. The view is excellent. They did a good job of positioning the rows so your view isn't blocked by the row in front

A city the size of Phoenix deserves a better performing arts facility. It is a Frank Lloyd Wright design, but is very dated and not appropriate for the ticket prices patrons pay. Time to remodel and retain the history of the facility.

The doors never open on time which means the performance never starts on time. Always makes for a late night. Everyone packs into the common areas and we stand out here to overheat. I buy season tickets for this??? No more. Last time we came, the people in the row behind us smoked weed and yelled throughout the performance and the ushers were too timid to say anything. That might have been the highlight of the evening.

Great theatre. Had row 24 seat 21 and the view was great. Have not been to many plays to compare other seating areas. Great performance for the play Wicked and would recommend this theater to others.

Came for Hamilton and Wicked with my wife and thoroughly enjoyed both. It'd be nicer if concessions and bathrooms weren't focused all in one place but I understand why that might be cost prohibitive.
