It was an mesmerizing experience, my first time here watching Aladdin! It was amazing! The place is nice inside and the chairs are decently comfortable. The staff had smiles. (I appreciate that) My only dislike was the spacing for the food area and souvenir stands. The area is shared with the walk way. I had a difficult time getting through the crowd at intermission. There were crowds of ppl walking, standing, or waiting in a line all around. There wasn t and regulation on lines or walkways where you can easily get by.

PLEASE READ THIS BEFORE YOU GO HERE!!!
I really think my curiosity will get me killed one day. My friends were inside the auditorium watching some sort of orchestra play. I got up to go to the bathroom. When I was in the bathroom I noticed a door that said "Custodial Closet" that was open a crack. Rather then closing it I decided to just peep inside. I saw a stair case leading down. I thought to myself that this is very odd because this was supposed to be a closet. I felt an impulse take me over and I started climbing down the stair well. After scaling down what seemed to be a dozen or so floors I started to really get curious. I just assumed this was some sort of fire escape. Finally after what seemed like two or so dozen floors I reached a door. I pushed the door open and to my amazement there was a massive room. The ceiling seemed to be several stories high and in the center of the gigantic space was a very large pool. I looked to the right and left and affirmed that I was the only one in here. If I got caught I would just say that I got lost. I had to see what the heck this pool was. I was pretty sure this was some sort of water treatment plant that I stumbled in on. As I walked on the hard damp cement floor towards a railing that surrounded the perimeter of the pool I came across a sign that read "Liopleurodon" I had no idea what it meant. As I leaned over to see what was in the pool I saw the murky water bellow stir a bit. All of the sudden the water splashed and this giant beast leaped out of the water. It was HIDEOUS. All I saw was a gigantic mouth full of hundreds of pointy, sharp teeth. When it splashed back into the water a fishy smell filled the air. My blood ran cold and I was in shock and frozen. When I got hold of my mind I bolted back towards the stair case and climbed back up as fast as I could. My heart was throbbing in my ears. My body was numb and surging with energy. I leaped up the stairs grasping the railing to brace my jumps. I finally emerged from the door into the bathroom. My mind was still racing and my heart pounding when I slammed the "custodial closet" door. All I could think of was Gosh did I get a good workout. I probably burned so many calories climbing up that stair case. This could be how I get fit.

Went here to see alladin and was not disappointed. We had balcony seats but I still felt like part of the show. The auditorium was clean and the staff was nice. I also appreciated that their were a lot of stalls in the ladies bathroom, it really minimized the lines

Good venue. Seats are decent even in the balcony. I wish they didn't do huge decorations on the outside of the stage though. You can't see them when the lights go down anyway & they block the view for the balcony seats when anything is flying or really tall. Example: the tall animals in Lion King & flying scenes in Wicked.

Decent shows, been seasonal members for years. Seats and armrests are unbelievably uncomfortable and almost get killed trying to get seated up in the balconies. There is limited walking space with extreme difficulty in maneuvering.

We went to Gammage to see Hamilton. The show was outstanding. The theater was very nice. We sat in the balcony, 2nd row, but had a terrific view of the stage. Before the show, we parked at the Gammage parking lot and walked 5 minutes up Mill avenue and had dinner. Then a quick stroll back to see the show. Then after the show, back to Mill for Cocktails.

My wife and I went to see The School of Rock. It was awesome. Place still holds its own after so many years. It's probably why it is the chosen location in the valley for the big production plays and musicals that come thru. Spacious seats and the temperature was just right. It was 105 degrees outside.
Go if you have a chance. I have seen other shows like, Wicked and Romp to name a few. Also, awesome productions!

I have seen several plays here at Gammage, and I would say we are lucky to have this facility in town! Lion King, Annie, Mary Poppins, Wicked...etc. I have been in the balcony and on the floor. I would say the saying.."you get what you pay for" applies. In some cases sitting in the balcony is fine and the price is perfect, and in other cases, pay more and enjoy being up front. The biggest complaint would be for the chaos that can take place in the parking lot at times.

Has the Broadway hit shows that Phoenix desires (e.g. Hamilton this season, Evan Hansen next season). They have spent a lot of money on renovation, including much better sound system, new ladies rooms, new elevators, airport type security check-ins, etc. Still need work on their decor and seating, which look like they are left over from the bygone era of Frank Lloyd Wright.

I am a theatre fan and the "off-broadway" shows that come through are always fantastic. I have seen many shows here and I have season tickets. The reason that it gets 4 stars is the acoustics. Frank Lloyd Wright was a genius at designing buildings but has no clue on theatrical sound. I am being nit picky but when compared to similarly size theatres in other cities the sound is lackluster.

I saw Berstein's Mass there 11/18/2018.
I remember working on the speaker enclosures in the proscenium in front of, and over the stage, in 1980...It was a grand adventure. Even working above the ceilings of the Gammage Auditorium was an architectural design adventure!

Super friendly staff, cool architecture. Sound is better at some shows than others, but still pretty good. Parking can be rough, just get out sharp or hang out for 15 mins and you'll be good though.

First time visit for a Wicked show. The place is huge. Only complaint would be, carpets may have made my husbands eyes itch. I was not effected, however his eyes stopped being irritated when inside the auditorium and when we left. Definitely a lot of foot traffic and not sure how often carpets are cleaned.

GREAT venue. LOVE seeing. Broadway on a Frank Lloyd Wright building! Drinks are reasonably priced. Great dining a short walk away. Free parking. Only recommendation is that is your seat is Center stage. Get here early or you will be crawling over a lot of people. Aisles are reasonable though. Most seats have a great view!

Great venue to see off-broadway shows! Super convenient for Arizonans and especially college students! Their staff is extremely helpful and professional, and the shows they bring to the theatre are amazing!

Attended to HUMANS with my family. Arrived 64 minutes before and found a parking spot without any problem at the Gammage. Had great seats and enjoyed the 90 min without any interruption. Very crowded at the exit
