Workers Judge you by your Appearance They take your information then show you the dogs but gives you meny excuses and reason as in why u can't take the dog, they don't even give you a chance to fully get to know the dog.

Wonderful Staff, very friendly and thorough with their adoption procedures

I will never ever donate in ASPCA anymore.( I went with my puppy because he was bleeding,they simply told me that I need to make an appointment...So,what's the deal to donate in this institution when you need them in an emergency.....

Went to adopt a dog and truthfully was helped by the most wonderful and kind hearted woman Dorthea. She showed me around and you could tell really cared for the animals. The facility was very clean and didnt smell at all. I however like any shelter feel so horrible for some of these animals - just wish there was a better way than keeping them in prison cells all day :-( however the ASPCA seemed to be doing the best for the situation. Didnt end up adopting but will be back to find my pal for life :-)

They didn't give us the pet for reasons that I think were excuses. My complain is the procedure it's make me sad is not to don't give us the pet. Its because they were not completely honest with us. They should tell us since the beginning that we were tested if we were perfect or not match to the pet. But instead of it they told us that we were ready to bring it home because we pasted the interviews before. We were exited to bring him home. Now after they told us that is not posible. How do you thing Im feeling. When I made me the idea that he was for us. And I'm sorry but it was a silly excuse that they didn't give us the pet because I didn't stop to touch him. I never heard them and when my wife told me not too much I stoped.

I called this adoption agency almost a month ago and I still haven't received any response from them. Why is it so hard to adopt a kitten now a days?

My cat is in pain, her eye about to burst out of the socket. but no one can let me through the lobby to go see a doctor and there is no appointment available what a staff well done.

Please be aware of any conversation you have with aspca STAFF. The staff at ASPCA wrote false information that was connected to my number awhile back. That my cat jumped out a window!
Which is totally false. I never owned an animal. I spoke to a very unprofessional manger Matt Wildman who called my phone three times before even speaking or announcing himself. I expressed how taken back I was that a staff wrote false information connected to my number. He dismissed what I was saying. At this time I then requested another supervisor to him saying he is the supervisor and hung up on me!

We adopted Murray 10months ago at first I wasn't too sure if we was going to connect now I just can't get enough of him he's such a cutie he's my baby now

My friends adopted a kitten there. Very nice place. They take good care of animals. And I'm glad that many people come there to adopt.

Very professional and caring staff. Clean! The animals are very well cared for--and the screening process helps fit the right pet with the right person/family! We came home with a sweet cat--thank you ASPCA!

We walked in on adopt a cat day in the fall late in the day. The place is full of animal lover volunteers no one gave us a hard time so close to closing. There were not too many cats left so they offered us the same deal for a whole month. We got a wonderful kitten named Lucio. Xoxoxo

I haven't been to many animal shelters, but this is the best one I've been to. Both the adoption center and the hospital have very professional and friendly staff. While hospital lines might be long, adoption procedure takes about an hour. All the animals are vaccinated and you are told everything about their medical history. Adoption is very cheap and a lot of times free depending on the age of the animal. They also give you bunch of gifts when you adopt.

They are reallty making an strides in keeping pet lovers inform especially during COVID19

They helped my dog by performing surgery and it costed a lot less than expected

I really wanted to adopt a dog, and I saw lovely ones on the website. I came in to see them and fill out an adoption application. I wasn't picky about the breed, I just know I like smaller dogs. A volunteer, an older woman showed me around. Any dog I looked at she would say "no no no". I couldn't even see one to pet because she would give me random excuses as to why I couldn't inquire. I left heartbroken and she said I shouldn't adopt a dog I should search for the perfect one. It's like she just did not want me to have one. It was a terrible experience, she was not even an employee who was she to tell me no or what dog is or isn't for me? I would up adopting a dog from a local shelter because of the poor treatment. And yes my dog isn't the perfect dog for me because I searched for a "perfect dog", it's because he needed a loving home, and I was prepared to give it.

I rescently tryed to get help for my 1month old chorkie and was told what was wrong with her wasn't an emergency. They said to bring her back in a week when her condition gets worse. She was compacted with feces and havent gone for a week. She wasn't eating and crying all night and day. Can't even hold her with out her screaming. I am so disappointed she only weighed 1.4 pounds and her stomach was bloated and stiff. Then when you see people become desperate and harm their pets trying to take their pain away you hear people say "ANIMAL ABUSE'

This place is awesome! We have adopted two cats here. Our first cat was adopted over two years ago and he was super affectionate. Unfortunately, he was ill, which we were told. But we wanted to adopt him anyways. So, we went back today after a long grieving process and adopted our second cat. Sallie has always helped us, she s very nice! The place is clean and they even give you starting food/treats when you adopt.

Lovely place to adopt an animal. Much faster than independent adoption organizations.

They allow you to fill out an application and keep it for three months. You can come in and simply view the dogs.

Spent 2 hours trying to make an appointment to neuter my dog and I kept on listening to the machine that only gave information I did not require, whenever I tried contacting an assistant it would give me another number and hang up on me. Pretty disorganized clinic that leaves you helpless

They are very nice. And the animals help a lot ... You just need more communication with the main office on 96th street in terms of license lost pets ... Always insist on information ... Do not give up .. That for lack of communication suddenly you do not recover your pet look in the ASPCA page and in its other locations ... To find your pet ... Good luck

Very nice place to adopt I got a really sweet dog the staff was very very pleasant and most importantly the areas where the pets are kept were very clean

This phone system is horrible nobody picks up nobody answers and I m trying to find my dog and nobody s trying to help me and I think you guys suck

I brought my dog to this aspca and they did alot for my dog maximus, now he s home having a great recovery from my dog having stones ,thank u and keep up the good job

They saved my cat's life. No other clinic nearby could've possibly pulled of the miracle, but the staff here made sure they did everything in their power to. Environment is very relaxing, and the staff are very professional and friendly. May they continue to serve the animal community for as many years to come!

I neutered my dog through the ASPCA, they were my best option. Incredibly helpful, although not overly friendly, they care about what they are there to do their job for which are animals. My dog had a bruise after I neutered him, I called them and explained it was just a bruise which showed more because of the pale skin of my pom. They helped me so much. I am so grateful to them <3

If you take care of a pet for 3 weeks or more, shots, food, waste pads, and have to return the pet, the least they can do is return your adoption fee. They won't. They want you to give them an evaluation of the pet, sign him/her back to them, then invite you to leave.

Honestly it was all a rollercoaster from the beginning I fell in love with a puppy named tally, she was beautiful I just had to have her; I put her on hold to so that when she's ready to go I can get her and bring her home! It was a week since I put her on hold I called everyday asking how was she, was there any updates or progress? They always nothing nothing nothing, a week goes by and they called me saying she wouldn't be a match for me without even knowing me or my family, they gave me so many excuses and I wasn't taking no for an answer! I was raised with dogs all my life some hyper some shy some mean some nice but never in my life have I ever turned my back because of how they were I gave them a chance and that's exactly what I was going to do with tally give her a chance! I went the next morning right early in the morning and spoke to manager on how what they were saying to me over the phone didn't fit the purpose of aspca which is to give dogs a home somewhere to be loved and cared for, they honestly continued to give me the run around I cried and I stormed out I was hurt, they asked me to come back that they will try to work with me, I came back and honestly if it's was for DANA the behavior analysis I don't think any of this will be possible! She really was so helpful she understood! It was her first time meeting the puppy too and she knew how she would be the first time she's a puppy who's been in a room with other dogs not exposed to kids people the outside you can't expect her to be full of enjoy she has to warm up to it she needs to be comfortable in her own way! And Dana understood that and gave us the chance she didn't see a problem she so how friendly the puppy was around us she was the perfect match! Dana honestly changed our lives my daughter now has a puppy to call her own and grow up with and I don't know how else I can thank her! a nightmare turned to a beautiful happy ending because of her! I recommend her always she knows what's she talking about and how to speak on it! Thank you so much for opportunity to have a family Dana!

Aspca Is a scam, I made a one time donation to be kind, they continue to charge my debit card every month. I call to cancel my membership and they say ok but continue to take money out every month. There's no way to cancel online, you have to call to cancel with no success. Shame on aspca.

Got my cat Zina from this shelter. Came in 15 mins before closing, and they were more than happy to help, show me the kitties,, do you want to hold one and interact? Just lovely, very caring with the animals.

I loved it it was amazing to be around so many animals.

As a child i was surrended by different animals at all time like cows pigs rooater chicken goats horses dogs cats and many others so i been in love with animals at a young age and i don't eat them

They were quick and efficient and responsive in the midst of the emergency with my cat. They have a lot of great financing options too for the medical expenses

They serve well they are friendly but the damaged bathroom there is no water to wash your hands.

They are kind and very helpful. It looks to me that they truly care. I brought in a cat I found in the street that was very friendly but no one wanted him because his neck was cracked. They took him in checked him out,kept him and put him up for adoption. They also kept me posted. I held on to him for 7 weeks from the day I rescued him. That maid me very happy. I have 7 cats of my own so I couldn't keep him. I understand that he was adopted.

I adopted Roll in April 2017 when she was 2 months old. My grandson came with me to pick her out. We decided to keep her name and we are very happy with her. The services and staff at ASPCA are terrific. The staff are very kind, helpful and informative.

I had a great experience here. Only downfall was none of the pets were ready for adoption.

They really care and do as much as possible to redirect you to the right place if they can't help. It's a urgent care only now. Dr gordon was great with my pets.

No peaceful pet should to die or euthanized as misleading definition word of killed(. for the excuse of overcrowded , (except rare case of sickness or aggression ).

No organization should be eligible of any financial support if they aren't: not killed shelter ...

When I was donating , I was thinking that 100%of my donations going to the animals , but after questioning , I haven't received firm answer.

For all donors, supporting abanded pets include elderly is more important than payroll of staffs except if no pets has been put down, than no one care.

The staff is so efficient and helpful. The animals seem to be very well cared for and truly loved. Larissa is an exceptional employee who helped us in adopting our new fur baby.

Went there to look for an adoptable cat. The whole time we were rushed out of there, told we couldn't really interact with the cats nor kittens and within 40 minutes were directed to go to another center. Even if there weren't cats exactly fit for us, at least let me look. Sheesh.

This place is a CON job! There annual donation income is not justified! 300 million in 2017 for 1 location! They don t contribute to local state shelters! LMAO! Donate to your local shelters.

Everyone at the ASPCA is so welcoming and nice! And the animals are treated so well. You should all come adopt a friend here!

I was out I could not get in because the taxi left me late and I could not adopt and I could not see the facilities ... but today I will be there at 1 o'clock in the afternoon to adopt a kitten to integrate my family
