I came here for a FEW emergency vet visit, not to adopt. They're honest, sweet, explain everything, won't do anything but what you came in to address with your pet. Most vets insist on shots and exams that are costly and unnecessary before actually addresing the problem. The ASPAC willl fill your prescription for meds and food through Chewy.com which is cheaper.

If I could give Zero stars, I would. I had a cat who was very sick here. He wasn t eating, or drinking. He had diarrhea, and his stomach was very bloated. He couldn t even barely walk, or jump anymore. I started to have a bad feeling that he was dying. I tried calling this place, and the lady on the phone asked where I m from. I told her that I m from the Bronx & my address. Then she comes out and says that I do not qualify to bring my cat in . I asked her why I don t qualify? And she changed the conversation right away. As furious as I was with that statement I hung up. The same day right after that phone call my cat collapsed on the floor, & did diarrhea...ON THE FLOOR! The poor thing couldn t even make it to the litter box. Couple minutes later, while I m panicking trying to call people for help he laid flat on the floor with his mouth open. As if he was struggling to breathe...then later on he passed away. The fact that I tried to call for help to an organization that supposedly cries and begs for people to give animals a home, and they couldn t help me all becuz I was coming from the Bronx is just disgusting. I m absolutely furious with this organization. I would advise people to not bother coming here. They are unorganized, and they racially profile people. The fact that I wrote this review a couple days ago & it some how got deleted from here is absolutely distasteful.

Great neighborhood adoption center with cats and dogs seeking new forever homes. The staff and volunteers do a great job and are very knowledgeable and helpful with plenty of information and resources. New dogs typically arrive on Wednesdays and find homes quickly. They also accept food donations too.

The doctors are amazing. They are understanding and caring. The front desk recptionists and nurses are also understanding. The financial advisors are extremely rude and not compassionate at all. These females are extremely rude and will give you attitude when asking to many questions. And remember, dont sign anything unless you know you can afford it. But anyways, doctors and nurses are 5 out of 5.

ASPCA IS AN AWESOME PLACE TO ADOPT. THE VOLUNTEERS ARE GREAT, KIND AND HELPFUL. YOU CAN ALWAYS GO THERE KNOWING THAT YOU ARE GOING TO GET THE RIGHT INFORMATION AND THE RIGHT CAT OR DOG FOR YOU.

This place is God sent. I live in Queens and had to bring my bulldog in the back seat of my car with a catheter from another vet. I chose the ASPCA because Mac needed surgery that I just couldn't afford as I am disabled. They not only took us in after hours (thanks to the nurse's) which is not in thier policy to do so after 4pm, but they also payed for the majority of the surgery ($1100) I came out of pocket about $200. Dr Kline was amazing with him and performed a spectacular successful bladder surgery. They are precise on care instructions. I wish I knew the names of the nurses that helped us outside when we arrived, if they see this post I say thank you for your kindness, generosity, and understanding. We love you , our doggy angels :)

It was a very bad experience

It was a very bad experience
I asked for a cat to help control the mice. I ask for an active cat that would interact with my grandchildren

Unfortunately I had to return the animal the next day.
I was not informed that this cat was abused Nor did they tell me the history of this animal.

The volunteer was very sassy and snotty talking at me when I returned the cat.

And refused to acknowledge my questions about the cats history

The people working there are not concerned about building good pet relationships they just want to empty the cages
So not fair

Fantastic experience here adopting my first cat<3 ...

Fantastic experience here adopting my first cat<3 I was immediately given a tour of the facility and shown the animals that they had available for adoption. They were incredibly patient with me as I decided on which cat to adopt, and once I did, I received a full information session on everything that I needed to know about owning a cat from a very nice guy working there. It seemed clear to me that the people I met there genuinely cared for these animals and had a passion for finding them homes:)
