Colorado Grande Casino Review

Staff was very friendly. The building is really cool but run down. Everything is sticky and dirty though. We stayed in a $100 room and when we told them the bathroom sink doesnt drain that said "we know, were not sure what's up with it". Lol. That was wierd. We ate dinner at Maggie's restaurant in the lower level , that was a 2.5 out of 5 at best. I would stay there again but I'm going to check out some other options in cripple creek first. Maybe they're all like that due to age but some of the other casinos seemed much better put together, I'm just not sure if they offer rooms.
Side note: there is literally a 4" sewer drain dripping and looks like it has been for years in the small 15 car parking garage they provide for hotel guests.

Was first time back there since it was closed up . Still the same for the most part,they were trying to keep the social distance thing plus masks were required

It was terrible. I could not win at your casino at all. Lost money instead of winning money. Don't think I will be back anytime soon.

Service is kinda slow depending on when you go... If you go during third shift look my home girl jasmine she is a short cute little thing you can't miss here. Probably the nicest smoke shack in cripple creek definitely the warmest during the winter. Food isn't to bad there restaurant down stairs makes the best breakfast burritos in town.

Cripple Creek has been like a ghost town every time I visited, always have a great time though. Stayed here it was a very nice room

The only hotel in town that gives you more snacks than you can eat in one sitting. The employees are like family and they also make you feel at home.

The reviews do absolutely no justice for this place!! I went into this place at it being last resort (only vacancy rooms in cripple creek) with great a price range. Not only was the was price good, but the place had an old rustic 1940's look to it.. the bed was outstandingly perfect and soft, clean sheets. The night stands were stocked with snacks, the fridge had lots of drinks available at NO CHARGE!!!! The bathroom was huge with HOT water! The crew was so nice, and come to find out the room I stayed in across the hall was haunted!! (I love that stuff) btw I'm also giving this room 5 stars due to the fact I saw my sisters overally priced room at Double Eagle, n it was supposedly a suit lol it looked like an old stinky motel room to me least from what they paid for! Colorado Grande needs more credit! I will come to this resort every chance I get when coming to Cripple creek! ! Keep it up guys!

Really disappointed. Over an hour of gambling at multiple machines & not one drink offer. Piss-poor in my opinion.

Was a cool place but was very very cold night to go between casino

Up until my last visit, I would have given this casino a quadrillion Stars. This used to be my most absolute favorite casino in town . I always spent a lot of money there and even though it's a smaller Casino, I thought it was the best place to play. The last time I was there, however, the waitress comes up to me and asked me to order a drink . I order my typical, and as soon as I get done ordering she turns to me and says," you need to up your bet to get a drink ." I was betting $0.70 a spin. I know that doesn't sound like a lot, but you go through 20 bucks rather quickly on those slot machines. It was absolutely Furious and embarrassed. It completely made me feel like some lowlife and they're trying to get a free drink. I immediately got up, withdrew my money and went to the cashier and cashed out my money and left and I will never be back there again . Every time I go in there I drop at least $100 or more and if I want to play one penny at a time oh, That's My Prerogative. I still spend a lot of money, and they just lost my business. Not to mention the tips that I always gave I'm not a quarter Tipper either. I always tip 2 to $3 per drink, and that cocktail waitress, whether she was told to say that or not, we'll never get a penny from me again .

Stay 9-3-18. Found food left in the pull out bed. Disgusting. I got room 1 which is a suite. It was very spacious but unacceptable to have dirty beds!!!

Came into this casino during the 2nd wave of Covid-19 they seem to be taking the proper precautions, I did like the bartender she was nice, rewards program was not something the guys seemed concerd about? The restrooms were clean of debris and stocked.would like it if they had some rewards of some sort.

Service was great and employees were super friendly. They really have a good vibe.

We stayed at the Colorado Grande Hotel and Casino the accommodations were not worth the money. No refrigerator or microwave in the rooms. The coffee for the coffee maker wasn't good. We left after one night, even though we paid for three nights. We have yet to receive the refund for the two nights we did not stay with them. I would definitely not recommend this hotel to anyone!

Very fun and a great place to stay. If you smoke, they have an indoor smoking room which is actually really nice.

We stayed 3 days/nights at the Grande. The rooms were stocked with snack foods and drinks, such as bottled juices and waters and sodas, that are included in staying. The Grande's history makes it a fun place to learn about as well, including stories of it being haunted. The staff were all amazing, and the restaurant in the basement (previously a morgue) was off the charts for flavor and portion size, regardless of the meal chosen for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Do yourself a favor and visit and/or stay at the Grande the next time you're in Cripple Creek.

This was the only casino at Cripple Creek that let me win. It was fun. And very clean

This is a nice little casino with a lot of the classic games and a bunch of the newer ones as well. This is nice casino because you don't have to cash out your tito when you go from room to room or floor to floor. The restaurant, Maggie's, has consistently good food and they provide the room service for the Colorado Grande Hotel. My experience in the hotel has been great, it is clean and they have nice amenities. The only thing is it can be a little noisy due to the street noise, so bring a white noise machine or earplugs if you're not used to noise at night. I just wish I would win more frequently at this casino.

We really enjoy the quaint little restaurant in the Colorado Grande Casino. They have a nice .menu selection and the portions are very adequate. Some are even enough for two. The slots are nice and we left full in food and winnings to start our successful 6hour night of casino hopping in Cripple Creek....

We stayed in two of the rooms upstairs. Very nice. The cocktail waitress was great.

I will say, the evening staff in the casino was amazing, not so much the morning staff. Samantha in the restaurant gets a perfect score.

We have been here 2 nights. So happy they are open again after the covid lockdown. There beds are still the best (from my experience and opinion) in Cripple Creek. It's amazing how quiet the room is, we can't hear the machines at all from our room. We did have a problem with the fact that some of the snacks they left for us in our room (chips) were expired ( probably left from before the lockdown) but as soon as I told head of housekeeping/maintenance he was very apologetic and immediately went through I was there storage and then got new supplies that work to date. he also will help you out with anything you need in a timely manner and with a good attitude. We still love this hotel (and the casino is great as well) I would recommend it to anybody, as long as you're able to walk up the stairs to get to your room because there is no elevator

Clean! You wouldnt expect a casino/hotel/cafe-bar this age to be like this! They checked our temps at the door and gave us bands to mark the day. You enter on the casino floor and walk through to go upstairs to the rooms. Its decor is old school but everything is clean and comfortable. Snacks and drinks provided in the room. The beds were perfect! We went downstairs in the morning for breakfast at Maggie's and it was delicious! I'd 100% come back!

The staff is very helpful and I would love to stay there, the slots are fun.

At first me and my hubby liked going to the Colorado Grand it was fun...after living in cripple creek for 6 months...we learned lot bout our lovely little grand...There is an employee her name is Jody she is a floor manager i think is what she tries to be...she was nice at first..But then for some unknown reason she decided not to like my hubby..so we are there playing i be-leave it was on a Friday or Saturday we were playing the slots we had one beer a piece we asked for another the waitress Jessica i be-leave is her name said OK be right back next thing i know there is this so called floor manager Jody saying we are not playing enough to have another beer they would have to charge us...WOW OK at this point i had 700 something points that day on my card my hubby had 300 some on his if u play slots u know how much we put in to those machines There is a security / slot guy with her and the cops at the bar watching my hubby like as if he is going to do something REALLY it a beer whatever so we leave we dont go back during the day because Jody works then but it had been a spell so we decide to go this saturday witch is 9-27-2014 they are having 100 hot seats WITCH i hate to let ya all know is fixed bs but none the less they are to be called within the hour every hour so we are there sitting around waiting for the hot seat now it has been an hour...NOW like i said sitting around the floor manager several times walked back and forth were we are sitting and then once again here Jody comes with her security guy and tells my hubby he has to leave because he has bad order...WHAT THE HELL...sorry anyways its bs again i do be-leave this Jody is harassing my hubby for whatever reason so my plan of action is to go to gaming office and if this is not resolved then i will be going to the news papers to let them now what our lovely Colorado Grand Casino employee Jody is all about thank you for letting me vent sincerely layloni wills

Yes, I am only 21. But this was the closest city with gambling. My friend and I traveled over an hour and a half to visit this city and your casino to finally get to gamble and be apart of this town. Not a minute into parking, the locals criticized us and we felt unwelcome. We walked into your casino. Your bartender approached us immediately, but was very welcoming. After that, our entire experience was awful. I get that we were young, but we came with an abundance of money to play. The security immediately made us feel like outcasts. I'd rather pay over $1,000 to go to Vegas than to ever come back to this city again. I hope you all realize there are young people who want to come and gamble. Hell, you'd probably make more money off of us young folk than anyone else. You not only lost two customers, but I will remember to tell everyone I know to never go to Cripple Creek, whether it is your casino or any others.

We stayed at this place as a guest of the owner. It's a fabulous old building in an old town and adds class to the area. Staff was always pleasant and the food was very good. Great small town to visit and explore the history and area.

I absolutely loved it.Very small and quiet although there is a casino downstairs .Room was adorable with old time feeling and a huge bathroom.Maggies restaurant was very conveinant and right downstairs .All in all I would love to stay there again but be advised there are only 7 rooms.

I have to say after reading some of the reviews we started to have second thoughts, but then we decided to go ahead and see what we got ourselves into...this place is beautiful. Yes, it is a historic structure but it is well maintained, very clean and I would recommend to friends and family. The staff is also super friendly. If you are looking for a supernatural experience, ask for suite 7. We heard unexplained sounds and caught an orb on my phone. I have to say I got the experience I was looking for.

Great place. Hotel rooms are cozy. Complimentary snacks and drinks in the rooms. Casino was clean and the wait staff were nice.

Cripple creek is a cute little town, however the only thing to do there is gamble. And the casinos take a full advantage of the visitors taking their money.. I dont think I would go there again.

We love this historic hotel and town! The gold-mining era charm has us hooked. The rooms are individually unique. Always clean with free snacks and sodas. Quiet and smoke free environment. Decent food and fantastic service from the bar staff. Local graciousness abounds. Can't wait to stay next weekend!

A fun place to go and s fine food restaurant downstairs

This is NOT the place to stay when you go to Cripple Creek. Not clean at all. A lot of stairs to climb also. Do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else.

Most comfortable smoking area in Cripple Creek. No alcohol served after 2 AM in this casino, usually pretty quiet as casinos go.

Loved the atmosphere and feel of this place. Three stars because so few validation booths actually working on the night I was there. Not sure this isn't regular issue.

I just don't understand the reasoning behind driving all the way there to see empty buildings & a very tiny & dirty town. Had I known this before hand I would have never waisted my time driving up there..

Tons of comp food and drinks!

A wide variety of games! I won on almost every game I played!

On top of that I check my balance and I had enough to get a breakfast before I left!!

The staff was friendly but they have a crook amongst them. My bank account was hacked and when I checked into it the hacker knew I was in Cripple Creek. I only used my card at Colorado Grande and nowhere else. I won't be going back to the Colorado Grande.

The night staff here is amazing!! They made the whole trip here worth while. Wendy is the absolute best bartender we have ever had anywhere, and we would sit there all night and talk to her if we could. The man who was working security was also very kind and accommodating and made the experience delightful. They have a smoking lounge which is always a plus. And Maggie s here is fantastic as well!!

Excellent staff who are great at what they do. Drinks are good and some of the games take coins

This Casino had friendly & helpful staff. Maggie s restaurant at the lower level of the casino has a nice variety of options at decent prices, and Jack s on the casino floor has the most delicious espresso drinks available 24/7.

Great big lovely clean rooms! Super attentive helpful prompt staff. Love it! Can't wait to stay here again. Also all you all who can't work the TVs are hilarious. You just turn on the cable box. Ha ha. Or ya know call the desk and ask for help. Good grief I'm not even tec savvy and I figured it out.

This place doesn't deserve a , but it made me rate before I could post this message... The worse customer service ever! Very rude and they argue with their customers, instead of resolving the issue in a professional manner. I don't recommend this casino to anyone, and the machines are rigged!

The hotel was just ok. The tv didn't work and the toilet was running all night. I understand that it's a old building but you need to keep it's up keep. The restaurant downstairs was just as bad. The food and staff also didn't really about first impressions on your customers. I did leave a decent tip only because that is a type of patreon I am.
