I made a huge error and booked this hotel for the wrong night through booking.com. The staff of Ashworth were so helpful in finding us another hotel when we showed up on the wrong night so we had someplace to stay since we were 6 hours from home (they called neighboring hotels for us to get a reservation). Not only that, they refunded all of my money and went back and forth with booking.com, which was a huge pain in the neck. All this they did out of pure kindness. I will definitely be staying here in the future, because I know if they treated me this way, they must treat their guests like gold. Definitely recommending this hotel to friends and family as well.

Such a delightful place to stay, with a terrific location! My sister and I enjoyed staying here during our roadtrip this fall and the staff were extremely helpful and kind. The room was clean and spacious and the bathroom was extremely nice! The bed/pillows were so very comfortable. The WiFi did not work at all, and the ocean view room was a peek-hole window with multiple screens and a strange angle that completely obstructed the ocean view.
Otherwise, a great place.

Nicely furnished and clean rooms. The walls did seem thinner than most places as we could hear conversation in the adjoining rooms.
We had a king room (room 163) with a balcony on the north side which provided a very nice view of the coastline. (See attached photo)
Street noise was minimal - just the occasional passing siren of an emergency vehicle.
My only complaint would be that "extras" that were ordered (champagne, cheese and crackers, chocolate covered strawberries, birthday cake) were supposed to be in our room upon arrival and/or delivered to our room each day, but we had to call and "remind" them every day.
We also purchased the meal plan... A great decision that was. Breakfast was wonderful and dinner at the Breakers was amazing.

The staff was rude and not helpful. We felt unwelcome with our dog.. even though it was pet friendly.. we were charged 2 pet fees, 1 with Expedia and 1 with them, we were charged literally 4 different costs for the same items we purchased at their little store area, the room was dirty and we asked for more pillows because we didn t have enough and the guy said no and then we called later and said we really need more pillows and somehow they managed to find another pillow..the pool was out of towels and dirty. The walls were paper thin and we could hear everything in everyones room. We got this room to celebrate our son turning 16 and it wasn t cheap...not a good experience and will definitely never be back. UPDATE: the manager gave us the pet deposit back and offered us free meals at the restaurant. At least we got one of our pet deposits back because Expedia is not giving us anything back because the manager refuses to refund us for the dirty room and horrible service. Will be escalating

I've come here year after year for the magical, carefree Hampton experience. Within a few days, you feel like you've lived their your whole life, and the Ashworth facilitates this feeling beautifully with amazing service, cleanliness, and food. 10/10.

We stayed at this hotel for my birthday and it was absolutely disgusting, fridge was filthy, hair all over the bathroom, floor was never vacuumed, stains all over the bedding, and slider doors not properly working to the balcony. Alarm clock didn't work, two out of three lamps did not work, chair in room was broken. Not a good experience. Call to let them know and the manager did not seem to care at all just offered free dinner on my next stay like I really want to pay again to stay at a dump!

This place is not what it looks like. Very clean but he rooms are garbage. Old towels are left in the room. Stains in the ceiling. Didn t expect this for the price we paid and we are not needy people. I wouldn t recommend this place for your dog!

The service was mediocre. The hostess was excellent but our server (Mike) wasn't the best. There were little things, like he brought it my kids ice cream that came with thier meal before anyone at the table was finished. He took thier plates that were half full of fries and said that they were playing with them so HE decided to bring them the ice cream. Unprofessional and not his place to decide. But in fairness that was the waiter and not the restaurant. My $28 prime rib was flavorful but very dry and cold! Most of my food was cold. I would of sent it back but we were with family and my wife would have been less than impressed. Just disappointing for a $30 dollar steak. I ordered a mango mule which Moscow mules are becoming very popular and most places offer it in the traditional copper mug, not here. Not a deal breaker but disappointing as you can go to Friday's and get one. The flavor more than made up for the lack of mug. It was delicious! The prime rib chili nachos were amazing! Some of the best nachos I have ever eaten! The only minor downside to them, and it was minor and would of made them even better, was that the chili on top was cold to warm at best. But the portion was fantastic. You could easily stop in for a quick drink and some nachos while cruising the the Hampton Beach strip and have a much more enjoyable trip! Come for the nachos, don't get the prime rib!

The food was very good and the wait staff was friendly and accommodating. The service was a bit inconsistent, some tables goth bread others didn't. The price for a Fisherman's Platter is normal but the serving size might have been a bit small.

Where shall I start? Very disappointing visit....I was expecting an upscale place not so. Our room was tiny, no room for anything, complained and moved to a slightly larger room, it was fair, not thoroughly clean for sure, but it is beach resort....let that go. DO NOT GET SIDE BALCONY in OLD WING, overlooks top of building with kitchen blowers going constantly, we COULD NOT stand noise so barely used it. Shower head part fell off in my hand when I tried to change spray, last day went for breakfast, prices about double what other restaurants charge and very noisy, we walked out and went to Sea Ketch, which is great and lower places. At one time it was a luxury hotel, not now, like a mediocre place on side of road. The only thing going for it is location....such a waste of my money. I will write management when I return to Florida. Internet pictures so deceptive, not as pictured, old and pretty worn out.

4 of had dinner in the restaurant before going to the Jimmy Dunn comedy show in the hotel. Food was great, 3 of us had excellent prime rib, the other a very well prepared and generous fried fisherman's platter. The comedy show was great, and the valet parking is a real plus.

Stayed in a broom closet, the curtains were ripped, the fan in the bathroom didn't work, my boyfriend knocked his shin on the bed frame because the bed was sideways, and to top it all off the valet didn't even pull the car up to front. We had to cross the street and almost got hit by a car with all our stuff. I'm never staying here again. Met a motel owner with cheaper and wayyyyy nicer rooms. DO NOT stay here. There's way better places to stay that cost half as much.

Rooms are tiny for 300 a night. They didnt have enough seating for rehersal dinner. Went ate i n restaurant they screwed up both prime rib dinners. Wedding schedule on wedding bags had wrong dates was a total cluster. I ll never come back.

Historic hotel across the road from a large state beach. Hotel sees a lot of use. Newer, but we'll worn appointments. Beds are firm. Great water pressure. Friendly, competent staff. Room I stayed in has a small ocean view balcony.
2 nice restaurants, one bar. one resteraunt is open for breakfast only. Food is very good 4/5. Not too bad price for a resort town. Very high quality.
Town rolls up the sidewalks and starts to board up for off season in September. Only a few local businesses are open after then.
Nice banquet facilities and group rates if booked ahead

Purchased dining package and was nothing but a hassle. First, an entree was included with dinner package, was charged extra to downgrade to get a sandwich instead of entree ( sandwich was less cost, doesn't make sense). Breakfast was also included and was charged for it again at checkout. Should've been easy to fix, but front desk took way too long to rectify and were non- apologetic. Bathroom door would not close and shower was growing mold. Will not be back !!!

We had a very bad experience this weekend.
There was a "college event" going on that involved most of the rooms filled with drunkards, loud and obnoxious teens, and so-called college students. After complaining to the office about our horrible 1st night, they moved us to a smaller room without any compensation, apologies, or any other effort on their behalf. The 2nd night was worse. We were kept up all night by loud parties throughout the hotel. Again we went to the office, at 1am. They supposedly sent security, but nothing changed. Loud parties continued until early morning hours. I have emailed management without any response...so here's your 1-star review, GARBAGE HOTEL! DON'T STAY HERE!!!

Had drinks at The Sandbar within the Ashworth Hotel. Wonderful spot open Second Story looks over the beach. The service was wonderful staff is very friendly. I'd recommend stopping here for a drink anytime.

Hotel charges $20 night for valet parking. There is no opting out. Today they had a brand new employee, first day on the job, assigned to valet ALONE. We waited over an hour because our car was LOST. Management was clueless, had no idea where it was parked.

We had a great room - king bed with front-facing balcony. There's nothing like watching the waves rolling in...not to mention the peopl e strolling by! We enjoyed the restaurants and the responsive customer service. We'd definitely stay at the Ashworth again.

The best place to stay while on Hampton Beach! The hotel has so much history and the view. You can t beat the view! The staff is friendly and helpful. The bar and restaurant are just perfect. I love being in a New England bar when a local sports team is playing on the TVs. It s high energy. I came here on my prom night and 30 years later I am still coming here all the way from Arizona!

Probably the best accomodations in Hampton Beach even if they are very dated. Ocenview room is the place to be for the fireworks which were absolutely breathtaking. The valet staff was very accommodating. Didn't eat there as the menus seamed limited . Overpriced for the fact that the place is very dated but seemed to be the best accommodations on the beach.

Location was great. Room had partial view of the ocean. Parking definitely an issue. Valet or paid parking only. $18 a day to park at hotel. Wharfside restaurant was horrible for breakfast but the Breakers restaurant has both good service and good food. Room was a little too small but was clean. All in all was a convenient location since beach is right across the street.

Rooms were great. Location was great just a walk away from bars restaurants and shops. The only thing I can complain about is the fitness center having nothing but cardio equipment. At least a pullup bar/station would be nice

The sleeper sofa was very uncomfortable. There were limited extra pillows and linens available and the our room was by the generator and over looking the outdoor seating for a restaurant. The hotel was super cheap and right across the street from the beach so it suited our needs well.

Clean hotel, great location, valet 24/7 (quick too). The balcony and room was very small. Unfortunately no one told us that the indoor pool was closed which was disappointing since there were a couple cooler days while we were there. I felt like it was kind of pricey for what you got but the location is probably why.

Terrible customer service on the phone. I read about poor service at this place but I tried to overlook it. I was only looking for a balcony room with an ocean view. He quoted a waterfront room but kept pushing the $400-plus room. Repeatedly saying the $400+ room will give me beachfront. I tried to explain I didn't need beachfront as long as I could see the ocean from my balcony... I would actually prefer that. The communication turned into an argument which was unprofessional and not necessary. There is no way I would feel comfortable staying when they greet people with such arrogance.

It was clean. Wait staff must've been rushed since you weren't given more than 20 mins to clear your plate before a slew of staff kept trying to take it. Food was okay, but it was a large event.

Clean, comfortable air conditioning, the food was very good at Breakers and Wharfside restaurants. Staff were friendly, nice atmosphere.
Room was small, bed was extremely uncomfortable and pillows were like rocks. Daily fee to park your car.

We thoroughly enjoyed this hotel! Right on the beach, comfy rooms and room amenities (although the beds and pillows weren't that comfortable to me), great breakfast, easy parking, and friendly and attentive staff. We will definitely be coming back!

Stay here two nights over the Labor Day weekend. Very pricey for two people plus paid for parking which should be included. Valet attendant was very rude when I approach him after he finished helping other people that he was helping. It apparently Was nearing the end of his shift so I got the bad end of his day. Then the maid came in to clean our room while we sat on our balcony facing the beach which was really nice chatting with our neighbors next to us when she came out to tell us she was done & if we need anything else. Well when we went to go back in our room from the balcony to go out she had locked our slider I guess because of habit. So thank goodness for our neighbor next to us & have my key card in my pocket one of them came to our room to unlock the slider & let us back in. I will never stay at this hotel again & I am sure there are other places that are just as good but a lot less money for what you get. It s pretty sad what you get for money & hope this help their policies to make it better in the future.

Definitely one of the nicer hotels in the Hampton Beach area, if not the nicest. Rooms are standard size and comfortable. It's a frw blocks outside of the hustle and bustle of the main drag. That could be better or worse depending on what you're looking for.

Very Friendly and professional staff. valet parking staff members Matt and the one who worked the night shift was very safe drivers and cautious with my fiancee truck he was worried about his truck but they. took good care of fiancee baby. The room was beautiful and clean with the balcony and ocean view. The bed was so comfortable we didn't wake up with aches and pains in my back. we had a very peaceful time sitting out on the balcony at night listening to the waves. We don't get much time to get out by our selves. Now a days there is not many times when people just relax and shut their phones off and take time for themselves or share ot with a loved one and enjoy the present moment and the world and scenery around us.
We will definitely be back in the near future but have a longer stay. We may even consider Ashworth's as a possible wedding venue Thank you everyone at Ashworth's who provided any services to us.

Its in a great location way down the end of the strip and the restaurant is nice but we got one of the only six rooms in the whole place that didn't have a patio. Hot water literally took 5 minutes to come out of the shower and every door in the room including the shower squeaked.
