Ordering the building went great, delivery was a little tough personally due to the location of my building, but we got it handled and unloaded on schedule! The staff was friendly and made the ordering process go very fast and efficiently.

Timing was an extremely important factor for us and we knew no one in America could get a steel building on site quicker than Armstrong Steel - so the choice was easy. We needed an open structure to use for a food pavilion at our waterpark in Waco, Texas. Armstrong Steel came through and got us our building in time for our Grand Opening ceremony. The quality of the building blew us away - especially considering they had the lowest price. Literally, they came in at about half the cost of everyone else. We expected it to be easy to erect but, wow! It was a breeze! The quality of the building was beyond anything we anticipated and the pre-galvanized secondary framing was impressive. With all of the unscrupulous steel building companies out there today, we're glad we chose Armstrong Steel because we got what we paid for and THEN some AND they came through in a pinch!

Armstrong Steel was fantastic, Alexandra worked with me for a long time and was very helpful in teaching me about the Steel buildings and what I needed, then Brooke worked with me to finalize the pricing, she was also extremely helpful and knows a lot about the Steel buildings as wel and help me redesign so that I could add in windows where I wanted. I would definitely recommend them and Armstrong Steel, looking forward to assembly

**No Responsibility for their Mistakes** - Buyer beware, we're barely half way through our Armstrong building assembly and have already run into multiple mistakes with our buliding that have cost us thousands of dollars. Armstrong has you sign an agreement at the beginning (get your lawyer to look this one over), the fine print of which allows Armstrong to aviod responsibility for any mistakes in the materials they send, especially if it is an on-site labor related issues. If the plant mis-labeles a major component which consequently gets installed into the wrong location, forget trying to hold them responsible for their mistake when part of the building needs to be dis-assembled and re-assembled. If the plant then forgets/fails to punch hundreds of holes into the purlins for brackets, it will be your responsibility to pre-drill hundreds of holes on site. Not to mention your assembly crew will lose several days of assembly time having to clamp each piece into place where it should have been a simple nut and bolt assembly. Oh yea, and those screws you need to help fix the same mistake... after confirming it was their fault, they'll take days to approve your claim, then only send them ground shipping (another 3-5 days) and refuse to pay to send them overnight even though your crew will just be sitting around waiting for them. Of course, they give the customer has the option of paying overnight shipping, even though they just bought a building from Armstrong for over $130K. No doubt, there is a need to protect a company from fradulent labor claims, but when you admit to making mistakes and then don't help your customers fix the problem quickly (and refuse to pay slightly higher shipping costs to save your customer days of lost assembly time), then you really have lost touch with how to resolve a problem that could have at least made a bad situation somewhat bearable. And, you get bad reviews.

***Edit: 10/29/2015 - After our situation above was esclated to the right people, Armstrong has agreed to compensate us for the overnight shipping for the parts we needed. I'm increasing my rating, since they have become much more receptive and helpful with additional more recent issues we have had with missing parts and shipping them to us as quickly as possible. However, we have had additional issues and the whole process from start to finish in the last 12 months can only be average at best. I still disagree with Michael Klos response regarding that Armstrong "takes full responsibility" when it comes to their mistakes. Recognizing a mistake and admitting you made one is great, and I never said Armstrong didn't admit their mistake. However, taking "full" responsibility includes covering at least the minimal and reasonable costs associated with fixing the mistake.

Also Michael, when you suggest your option "drilling the 9/16" holes in light gauge steel was unacceptable to you", you are leaving out the detail that there were 300 brackets with 3 holes each, reqiring 900 holes to be drilled, 25 FEET IN THE AIR!. It was bad enough having to drill 900 holes in the brackets on the ground for our chosen solution, but you make the alternative sound easy and that is misleading. Time was of the essence with a full crew waiting for parts to arrive, so yes, we demanded overnight shipping. Yes, it was also frustrating when it would take a full business day just to talk to someone at Armstong who had the ability to make a $100 decision!?

I have no experience in construction, but I needed more storage space on my property. I wasn t prepared to put together a stick built barn, so I investigated steel buildings because they go together much faster. I ve heard of Armstrong Steel before from living in Colorado, but I still obtained quotes from other manufacturers. Armstrong had the best price and the best quality building, so I made the easy call to buy a 40x50 building from them. The customer service so far has been excellent. The staff responds quickly to all my requests, and I know they ll be available if I have any questions. I ve just started putting the building together myself, and even that s been a great experience so far. I d definitely recommend Armstrong Steel to all my friends.

Over the holidays I saw a few stories on the news about the CEO and a few of his executives running around to all of the Wal-Marts in Denver and paying off every lay-away that had children's toys on it. I thought it was really sweet of them to do that. There's a lot of companies out there that only focus on making the next dollar rather than how they can positively effect their community and it was just refreshing to see a local organization taking holiday time away from their families to spread a little joy to those in need.

I worked with Jeff and have only positive things to say about the information and options provided. I was particularly impressed with the documents (specs, video, etc) specific to my bid which was emailed to me for my consideration. I was surprised at how much detail it contained and how quickly I got it. Thank you

Just wanted to share that this is our second building that we have purchased from Armstrong Steel. The staff from inception has been a pleasure to work with. We worked through weight specifications, cooling factors to maintain best case scenario for indoor usage that would coincide with state placed building codes! Don't do it!!!! Armstrong talked a good game but as soon as I put money down their tune changed. Couldn't get a hold of my "project manager" almost ever. They kept promising a building that could be bought and erected within my budget but they couldn't find a builder to build it for anywhere close to the price they said it would cost. They say you can get your deposit money back if something happens...... FALSE! It started out as money to "Hold the steel price" then turned into "Engineering fees" and cannot get a dime back. Over $10,000 that they are holding and after 7 months will not give back. My true review would be 0 stars. DON'T DO IT!!!

We bought a 36x36 steel building from them. Their customer service and communication is terrible. We re waiting on replacement panels to fix an area a delivery driver backed into, and I haven t heard from them in days. They cashed the check a month ago. Said materials will be in in 7-10 days. Called them Friday, left a message, never heard back. Called them again Tuesday, said they ll have an answer in a couple of hours as to where materials are, still haven t heard from them and it s Saturday. Going to go into the office in person on Monday and be that guy. Don t use them. They suck.

When I started looking for a steel building for my storage space, I was looking for a fair price with great quality. In all honesty, I wanted the best bang for my buck. When I found Armstrong, I knew I was getting exactly what I needed! Putting this building up on my own has been such a slick process, I am even looking to get another building just like it for all of my boats in Alaska. Thank you Armstrong! Feel like I got taken advantage of. They make alot of promises that they never fulfill. They don't seem to care about the little guy. My building is still not built because I was lied to. Salesman said I could get my money back anytime. I tried to contact him to cancel my order because of my situation. He never returned my phone calls. When it came time to finish the plans I had to delete everything but 2 door because I was misled on the price. Not sure if I will ever get my building up. Wish I would have just had a pole building built it would have been up by now. I guess I just threw 15k down the drain.

When I first called Armstrong Steel, I didn t know what to expect. I only had experience building wood buildings. I figured it would be tough to buy a steel building, but Armstrong made it such a smooth ride from beginning to end. From the get-go, every member of their staff made sure to keep in touch and helped me whenever I had questions. I ve wanted more storage space for years, and now I m so excited to get my workshop up. I ll have room for all my toys!

This is the best purchase i have made wherein i actualy received more than my moneys worth.
Excellent combination of metallurgy and design. The people at Armstrong are great to work with. Easy going very professional. And they worked hard to get me the most for my budget.
On the outside this building looks like most buildings (i bought a standard design) but on the inside, that is most definitely when you realize the difference. The only steel with a paint coating is the beams and the sheets. All other material is zinc or galvanized. Not the cheap primed in Red oxide junk.
I don't know if they sale that stuff too. But do yourself a favor and don't get the primed. Because in no time it rusts and primer starts peeling, because no one follows the rules and paints it like advised. Who going to paint each and every purlin etcetera before installing.
I walk in my Armstrong building there is absolutely not a speck of rust. Shiny beams helping to reflect the light for a better view.

You knew exactly what i needed with the awesome advice on skipping the primed steel.
Also almost anyone can put the buildings together following there manual and drawings. Every single step and every single tiny part is discussed in the documentation.
To sum it up, saved me money, saved me time, Put me into a beautiful 40x40 that will last many Hurricanes and my lifetime.

After doing my research and reading through the reviews on steel building companies online, I found Armstrong Steel, and instantly knew it was the right building company for me. Armstrong Steel had everything I wanted to complete my custom welding shop. Thank you Armstrong Steel!

We ordered and assembled an Armstrong steel building. The instructions were excellent and assembly went well. Good quality material and all parts we delivered with the building.

They have an insta-quote feature on their site that doesn't actually quote you. It just redirects you to a page that says "thanks we got your quote request, we'll get back to you". Poor user experience, and they just jipped themselves out of a potential customer. Fix your website.

I am currently in the brainstorming/planning stage of building a steel building and Rick Robertson was very helpful. He was able to quote me a great price, as well as help me decide what I needed. The information brochures that he emailed me are valuable tools.

I ve found that customer service is key in any purchase process, and Cathy Holland was simply outstanding. There was a little bit of a learning curve for me with the building project, and she was able to help me whenever I had any questions. I worked very well with everyone, but Cathy went above and beyond. Thank you for being an excellent representative of your company. I look forward to enjoying my building for many years.

It is very sad people do Business the way Armstrong Steel do! They take peoples/ customers money and do not do the work promised! I would stay far away from this company!!

I contacted Armstrong steel about purchasing a prefabricated building for an industrial project. The sales contact; Jeffrey Reimers has been great to deal with and very accomodating and helpful with our needs and got everything to us very quickly.

Unfortunately our experience with Armstrong was less than good. The builder they suggested never returned any calls and after a year or more of trying to find someone to build our structure we were told by Armstrong that they never told us in the first place they would help us find one. We only went with Armstrong because they told us they had builders in our state! We were forced to take delivery long before we could secure a builder, making us leave materials out in the weather for an entire year while we searched for a builder and paid tons in engineers fees, permits, etc. The building is finally done and we realized that some panels were missing. Armstrong absolutely refuses to reimburse us for the loss. We were told that we should have caught the shortage when the delivery was made, more than a year ago, and reported it. They refuse to do the right thing and reimburse us. I would never recommend this company.! So many hidden costs- do your homework on the actual cost of doing the building, not just the purchase of the structure. It will astound you!

Ordering a building is easier here than almost all the sites I ve visited, Riley is extremely helpful and knowledgeable about the products he sells and willing to invest time to insure we re happy with what we get.

From the time I submitted my on-line request for information I was treated with first class. I was quickly responded to by Steven Koye and he set my mind at ease with the process. He provided me drawings and quotes and upon my request made several changes without any delay. Being a first-time metal building buyer, I did not know all of the questions to ask but Steven guided me through this process with questions and guidance to fit my needs. Steven was very professional and always returned my calls and emails quickly and never pushed me into any decision. ultimately went with Armstrong because they had a price I couldn t beat, but they also

I made the first contact to Armstrong Steel, and I was so impressed with the company, I made the purchase in the same conversation. I usually don t make snap decisions, but my salesperson gave me a good summary of the company and made sure I was comfortable. I ve wanted a shop for a long time on my property, and I am pleased with the patience of the employees at Armstrong. My project manager always tries to accommodate me and is very professional. She makes it a point to address any concerns I have and keeps me updated on my progress. I m looking forward to receiving my building soon!

As soon as Armstrong steel received my down payment their customer service disappeared to the point I lost all faith in them to actually send me a building after I paid the full amount. I was told by a manager there that one of the workers only responds well to emails and not phone messages, another employee was not good at getting back to recorded messages...then I had a female call me and ask me why I had not contacted her to resolve my problems. I felt like they needed to provide a buyers guide on how and we go to take with in the purchase agreement. I'm a disabled and this company took advantage of me and are refusing to refund my deposit. Avoid this company like the plague.

I m in the middle of a project with this company. The salesperson told me the building would be cheaper after doing windows and doors, it was not. I was told I could just decide where the windows were going to go and have them done on site. Untrue. I told him I was using this building as a residential structure. The price I originally received was then doubled after it went to project management due to the cost to adjust the load for sheetrock, etc. After I explained what all was not explained to me, I was told my salesperson was new, but yet that did nothing for the additional $14k the building was costing me. My advice so far:
1. Only communicate with sales via email so everything is in writing. My little sales guy was new and had no idea what he was talking about.
2. Know your exact floor plan before you even start because the prices are going to go up unbelievably high after they get your original deposit.
3. Get the timeline in writing because that s not going to be right either.
4. Know your color choices before the deposit as well, because those are also extra and you won t be informed of that.
Bottom line, once you make your down payment, they ve got you and they know it and they don t care. I have 3 friends that are also in this process and I ve already called them and told them who NOT to use and will continue doing so any time I know someone is considering doing this.

I worked with Connor Donahue to get the correct specs and pricing on a large steel structure. It was super easy to do and pricing was awesome. All I had to provide were the dimensions and the location for the building. Connor was able to confirm the correct wind and snow loads. I forward to working with Connor in the future.

Every interaction I've had with this company has been extremely pleasant and professional. I'd recommend Armstrong Steel to all my friends and family.

I recently purchased a 25x40 from Armstrong. The quality of the building seems good and the sales team is great, but the customer service ends after the sale. All of the associates downstream are fairly unresponsive.

The shipping department is very amateur. They ship multiple loads on one truck bed with little regard for the end user so if you're the first drop, expect to spend 1-1.5 hours unloading and reloading someone else s building, and taking on the liability for it.

If I could do it over again I would definitely go with a different building manufacturer.
