Went here with a Virgin experience we were brought for a birthday, we approached the front doors and a security women came out tapping her watch saying 'We're not open yet' very abruptly.

Having opened we made our way up to the top of the Orbit and was told that the slide was being tested due to the weather. Finally after an hour and half wait we were able to go down the slide, which quite enjoyable.

I'd recommend looking at the weather forecast for a sunny day before book.

Legacy of the 2012 London Olympics the Orbit is an icon of British creativity as well as a symbol of regeneration of a deprived area into a beautiful urban playground. The orbit itself is great but going up it is like any tall building, but without much to look at over Stratford area except for London and Canary wharf in the distance. A new addition to the sculpture is the slide which I've not been on but this would be the only reason for a revisit.

It was good fun going down the slide and what they had done with the other elements on the floor below the slide was pretty cool. If you have done extreme sports previously this would be relativity 'tame' compared, if you have not it would be exciting and pretty extreme. Good views of London and surround areas. Only reason not for a 5 star is not allowing to bring my own GoPro with a professional harness. You can 'rent' theirs but you can't bring your own, when you do ask them they mention 'Health and Safety' but yet it is the same equipment. Staff were friendly. I would recommend booking in advance as well.

WARNING - two of the turns are extremely sharp and highly liable to cause damage to neck/spine skeleton/muscles - if you wish to risk your health by riding this "engineering marvel" which hasn't factored in adequately the human dimension, go ahead - but you should have the contact details for several sessions at a chiropractor at the ready for resulting pain which may start to develop shortly after - not recommended at all, sadly

Enjoyed my visit to the AMO. Views were superb and you can see most of Greater London from the two open air decks and the main enclosed South facing viewing gallery. The attraction also has warped mirrors and a slide.

Really enjoyed this experience with a few of my friends, there needs to be more like this available in London, only thing that was not good was location a bit away from every thing but this is to be expected building an attraction like this, also there was a bit of a queue, however the staff were very upbeat and this helped, also would love to go on more than once, a viewing area on the way up was good also could do more like this to make the experience a bit longer perhaps

Love this place. I highly recommend paying for the slide. It would not be worth it to go up without doing the slide. It's extremely fun (for adults and kids) and I would definitely go again.

I think it is the highest slide in the world. Going down is somewhat less impressive than it appears from the outside. You go down all the time inside a tube without seeing the outside and lying on a kind of mat. When you get down, you want to repeat. A recommendable experience.

Did the slide experience. More pleasant than hair - raising but you can see some lovely views of the park. The whole experience doesn't take very long. You would need much more than an hour for the slide and views.

First off the views were amazing from the top of the slide and location wise it is easy to get too.

However the bad parts, after going through security checks and putting everything in the lockers I had then walk back to the lockers as they needed proof we have paid even though there is one way into the place.

We ended up waiting over 30 minutes after our time slot to go on.
The worse part was you stop inside the tunnel with 10-15 meeters to go and have to crawl the rest. If you have any degree of claustrophobia this part was not nice. I imagine the stoping early is because the mats you go down on are worn out or the slide needs greasing.
This happend on every person from watching the monitors of people going down.

Explain at reception and said someone may of used it.So im guessing staff members cash them in after.

The slide is a lot of fun and you have a good view of London from the viewing platform. Surprisingly getting in was a lot more complicated than expected. If you haven't printed out your ticket they want you to send it to an email address. I didn't understand why they couldn't just scan the QR code from the phone like every other place.

This venue is worth a visit now that it has the the slide. Besides going down the slide and looking at it from afar, a visit to the viewing platform is underwhelming. You can't really see the main sights, you're behind an obstructive fence and there's not much to see.

The slide though, that's where things get fun! You have to wear a head gear, arm protectors and sit in a big sack. All of this is worth the hassle because the slide ride is a long and thrilling one! The best bits are the ones where you can see the view, going through the transparent parts. I really wish the whole ride was like this because most of it is in darkness which is disappointing.

Incredible monument, the location is a bit far from the city but it is worth seeing and climbing to see the city. It is next to one of the most emblematic stadiums in London and a few steps away from a fairly large shopping center. There you can find the subway to return to the center.

Tricky one to rate. A bit pricey and the view over London is good, but there are better places to view the city from. The slide seems fun and the absailing was a good experience but I wanted a wall to bounce down, and not just let myself down. But an enjoyable couple of hours and the staff are great.

Another way of experiencing great views of London from above. Viewing areas are available both inside and outside. Staff are very friendly and helpful, and the attraction is wheelchair friendly.

It was fun. The slide is cool, wish it was longer or you were allowed to do it twice etc. The staff are friendly, but the process is slow. I have heard it from many others they are usually behind schedule. Even we were delayed by 30mins before we could take our side down. The slide is exciting, it has moments of light and darkness, darkness being the most fun. For the 40secs of slide, and 30mins delayed the price is expensive.

Disappointing and wasted visit. Xmas present for the kids. We waited for 45 mins and they closed the slide due to technical issues. Told us it was unlikely to open for the rest of the day - but when we went downstairs to the ticket office, they were still taking people's money. Dishonest. Wasted trip and money for travel. Be warned!
