Booked this for the family to do on our trip to London. There was some initial nervousness about the height but we explained it was quick and everyone looked happy as they came off. Queuing was very social and we chatted to a lovely French family whilst we awaited our fate ......I mean turn. The team working there were very good and efficient. Great views from the viewing area. Would recommend and would have loved a second go. Had to shuffle out of the bottom of the slide but I all of the people that I saw didn t fully slide out. I was reassured by the team member that I had time to get off.

Book to go on the slide on the 19 August for 2 clock. To then be told they are not letting any one on the slide as doing test . Because of the weather as was raining they said it could take 30 min so we waited till then. Then got told again that they are still testing it and it could be till 3.30 PM till they open it. The crew did say we can give money back or other day. I took my money back which could take 24 hours to 48. Cant belive this went for a family trip for half team as off for 2 weeks and this had to happen. Because of the rain

The staff were great - ready to answer questions about its construction and even the man in the elevator was really friendly. The mirrors are interesting and the views across London are nice. I think the addition of the slide will be a great improvement!

The Arcelormittal Orbit has a very good sight of the town. You can almost see whole London. Its a very high sculpture in Stratford. If you fear higher places maybe it's nothing for you, but you can always try of course. Nice all in all. I can highly recommend it.

The structure of the London 2012 Olympic brazier is one of those things that you don't appreciate at first, then you change your mind and find that you are really stupid. Going up to see the view is fantastic, you can see almost all of London and the Olympic village area. In addition, it is possible to go down either by elevator or by going downhill, skirting the whole structure outdoors. But the greatest emotion remains the highest slide in the world that starts from the penultimate floor. Almost 50 seconds of free descent in a tube placed after the Olympics. Do not miss and book which week before, so as not to give up. I recommend going there in the evening to see sunset and skyline in the dark.

Not a great deal going on here... Impressive views of the city. Worth visiting just to do the slide. There is a nearby play park and a decent Cafe / bar close by too. You'd only need to spend about an hour here at most.

I slid down the huge slide at the ArcelorMittal Orbit! It was great. We got there early with my friend so we were told we had to wait around 45 minutes! Even though there was no queue! But otherwise it was an amazing experience and was overall very fun!

I thought the slide was slow with no thrills. It was so slow that you didn't make it out of the end of the tube and had to crawl the last 6 ft to get out. Big hype, safety pads and hat but not as good as a helter skelter at an old fashioned fair.

The slide is good fun and pretty sanitised health and safety wise as you would expect. That said i did bang my head hard on the side at one point but i survived! I visited just after it opened so was pretty expensive at about 20 a ride. Would be worth doing at under 10 which it inevitably will be disvounted to when the initial popularity fades.

About Arcelor Mittal Orbit

ArcelorMittal Orbit: The UK's Largest Sculpture

The ArcelorMittal Orbit is a magnificent sculpture located in Stratford, London. It is the largest sculpture in the United Kingdom and was designed by Sir Anish Kapoor and Cecil Balmond. The sculpture was built for the 2012 Olympic Games held in London and has since become a popular tourist attraction.

The ArcelorMittal Orbit stands at an impressive height of 114.5 meters (376 feet) and offers stunning views of London from its observation deck. Visitors can take an elevator to the top of the structure or climb up its spiral staircase to reach the viewing platform.

One of the most exciting activities offered at ArcelorMittal Orbit is abseiling down its towering structure. This thrilling experience allows visitors to descend from a height of 80 meters (262 feet) while taking in breathtaking views of London.

In addition to abseiling, ArcelorMittal Orbit also offers venue hire for corporate events, weddings, and private parties. The venue can accommodate up to 260 guests for seated dinners or up to 450 guests for standing receptions.

The design of ArcelorMittal Orbit is inspired by both modern art and engineering principles. Its unique shape features two twisting steel towers that converge into a single column at its base. The structure is made up of over 35,000 bolts that hold together more than 2,000 tons of steel.

ArcelorMittal Orbit has won several awards since its opening including being named as one of Time Out's "50 Coolest Places in London" and receiving a TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence.

Visitors can purchase tickets online or on-site at ArcelorMittal Orbit's ticket office located near Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park entrance on Stratford Walkway.

In conclusion, if you're looking for an unforgettable experience with stunning views over London then look no further than Arcelor Mittal orbit! Whether you want to abseil down this iconic landmark or host your next event here - there's something for everyone!
