Out of this world. So much fun. Over in a flash. A screamed all the way down.
Views were good. Bit of a wait to go on the slide. Over 45 min delayed! Just wish the slide lasted for longer and that more of it was transparent!
Brilliant place for the kids and family; the slide is awesome. But what was most surprising was the genuine hospitality of the staff here. They couldn't have been more helpful and a delight to visit here with guests. Great value too, especially for local residents. Do book ahead for the slide though. Will definitely want to go back...
The Slide is a great slide but in my opinion too expensive but otherwise I liked the view and the slide very much. A super nice staff.
We checked both the website and twitter page for any updates prior to travelling due to the weather. There were no messages so assumed the slide would still be operational.
Only once we arrived at the venue did a member of staff inform us of the closure. We were offered to rebook the slide or accept a refund.
I found this extremely disappointing as no prior communication had been made. I feel that the website could have been updated or a tweet published warning ticket holders of the closure.
Only at 13.05, did I receive a call from a member of the team informing me of the closure, our booking was for 13:00. A bit late.
Story of two halves
The abseiling was great, really friendly and welcoming. Great experience.
The slide is great but the check in staff (male) are rude, obnoxious and not friendly at all. Because of that you get 2/5.
This remarkable building is definitely worth a visit! If you arrive in the morning there won't be many people.
Here and the viewing and the opportunity to ride in the likeness of a roller coaster, but from top to bottom. It s not particularly breathtaking, but as entertainment it ll work. You shouldn t go specifically for this
Slide was fun but some corners was bit too hard for my back. If you have bigger back problems, think twice before you go in the slide.
In our point of view, some staff wasn't very motivated in this job... Example the lady in the front door didn't make as feel very welcoming. It felt like we have make something wrong...
However, fun slide and worth every penny.
Did the abseil from here, great area with lovely sights
The real Eiffel Tower England! inaugurated at the 2012 Olympics, which includes that inner tower from the base, built by 4 Romanians from Gala i together with 6 others at the IBIS company in Harlingen, The Netherlands, during January -April 2012 after the idea and project of the famous Anish Kapoor .
Confused, meaningless mess of a structure, though if you are into sculptures that look like a rollercoaster having a spasm you'll love it. About as iconic as a conveyor belt of sick.
Its a nice place for a good race and lockers to save your belongings
Great experience. Bit of a wait in the queue as they were running late, but well worth it in the end.
Really interesting structure & an incredible slide!
Nice views on the west part of London. Worth to visit to see the sunset. Also afternoon tea is recommended!
Hard to get to, but once you are there it is really fun
The views are fantastic, I liked the slide but you do look a bit of a numbty by the time you're all padded up!
This monstrosity has little architectural merit I can see
Beautiful experience. Better to book online, slide also suitable for adults short but once you get off you want to do it again!
Great view over london did the slide down the world highest and longest closed tunnel slide which is great fun. You can leave your personal items in the lockers provided do the slide then go back to the top and take great pics of the area.
Great view and the slide is good fun. Really worked well for our school trips there.
We booked for the slide, a treat for my children who had recently turned eight. Interestingly we were not asked how old they were and neither of them were measured to check that they met the minimum height, which they did but only by a More
It's a nice day out and a good reason to go and see the Olympic Park. However, the viewing platform was thoroughly underwhelming - there was metal fencing and mesh around most area which really got in the way. The slide on the other hand was a lot of fun! It takes some courage to get into it but then it's 20 or so seconds of fun. You can't really see anything sliding down though.
The structure itself is already spectacular. If we add to it the incredible views and the descent down the slide ... Impressive. Of course, cheap is not.
When I took my slide there last year (2017), the ArcelorMittal Orbit was kind of quiet; of course, we booked the slide beforehand, but I was told that we could get tickets at the box office too.
The observation deck was also quiet, and there installed a distorting mirror that turned the city view upside-down. From there, you could also see the London Aquatic Centre built by the honourable architect Zaha Hadid.
The tower was a bit remote from popular landmarks in London, but visiting different neighbourhoods while taking the light rail outskirts was quite a good experience.
Really fun slide, a little bit short (~30 seconds) but Well worth it id say
It's a lot of fun sliding down the ArcelorMittal orbit. Scary leading up to it, but once you're on, it's thrilling! Over in only 40 seconds. Came out with a big smile on my face.
It's all over very quickly for the price you pay. Always think the outdoor locker situation is very dodgy, anyone could climb and break them open.
You get up some good speed and there's a couple of sharp turns to keep it interesting. It's all over too soon!
Went on the slide and viewing deck. The slide was good fun (but over quickly), you have to be careful on the first turn though as it's very sharp. The viewing deck is very modern with interactive screens and good views of East London and the City.
Fantastic place. Somewhere everyone should try to visit, at least once!!
Waste of money the slide is useless not be seen again at it it a rip off
Did the slide with my daughter, granddaughter and grandson and we all had a great time with very helpful and professional staff
Didnt go up just looked up from below and looked pretty impressive to me.
Slide was well short, there's a longer one at my local playground that's for babies, it's like well longer than this one, and they don't even have to wear any protecson.
Great experience, awesome view, the warped mirrors are a right laugh and slide is no joke - its fast! ;)
Was a fantastic experience to visit this London iconic landmark !!
FYI, it is possible to climb to the top and there is a toboggan that allows you to go down
Nice venue. Good views. Slide takes about 40 sec and good fun. But stops short of end so you have to scramble down the last part of the tube.
Magnificent panoramic view of London and the slide
..different even if you wear a helmet !!!
Hmmm
Pricey
Pointless
I finally managed to visit this site; I was somewhat underwhelmed by the overpriced slide but still enjoyed the visit overall. Wherever possible pick a day with clear skies to get the best from the viewing tower. In England that is not always an easy feat, but it will make the view more worthwhile
Good attraction but far too expensive for What it is. We got the lift up and walked the stairs back down. Not a great deal to do up there but the views are great as we're the views from the hotel also.
Great fun but ends way too quick. Reminds me of going on the water shoots in the early 90's. Not convinced it's worth the money, but well worth a go.
Great way to spend a couple of hours. Views are great but it's not cheap to go up there.
The slide is incredible loved it could do that all day. Great view of the city too well.worth the money.
Perfect place to take your family and enjoy the day. Make sure you go on the slides, it s fun.
Exhilarating experience going down the slide. View from the top procides a while new angle to admire London. It helps that numbers are managed so it never feels crowded
Really worth experiencing! Slightly chaotic organisationally but redeemed by super friendly staff. The whole concept is inspired and well-executed and the ride itself is much more fun than expected.
Advance booking is strongly recommended.
The views from the top are incredible. You can see the O2, Canary Wharf, The Shard, The City, and of course the West Ham stadium and the different Olympic venues as the aquatic center. Very worth visiting.
Whilst an interesting structure, the view is less than stellar and the slide was closed due to "high relative humidity" making it unsafe.
Terrible communication and customer service. We booked tickets in advance arrived in London to receive an email at 11:00am informing slide had been shut because of Storm Dennis (they only knew it was coming for a week in and didn't notify of closure until 11am having already travelled). Phone up to speak to resolve and the call handling agent hangs up after saying we are closed. Waste of a Christmas present and trip.
Very friendly and helpful service at the reception. Nice views of the surroundings and a slide are worth visiting.
Really amazing (scary) experience. Lovely views. The only reason it wasn't a 5 star was because we were given time slots and ended up waiting for about and hour and a half after our timeslot. Other than the long wait, the slide was crazy, the view was amazing. Obviously not suitable for people who are really scared of heights.
Great fun on the slide and fab views from the top!
Just remember to keep an eye on the time as there were no clocks in the tower and we nearly missed our booked time slot!
There is a viewpoint and a slide. To jump down the impossible slide you have to go hours in advance or get the ticket online
Went with the kids. Was fun. Best to book the slide though as that looked good.
Great experience even if it is for roughly 45 seconds
Enjoyed the views and the slide is an unusual and different thing to do.
The experience really isn't worth the money, much more interesting stuff to do in London than this, we only went as it had been bought for us as a gift
If you are visiting London make sure you go on the arcelormittal orbit slide! A must do for anyone visiting london. Its just in the edge of the Westfield Shopping Centre in Stratford, easy to get to by tube and worth the money. The slide itself is over in what feels like a flash but its exciting, it makes you feel like a kid again and is well worth the money!
It was fun but it is a bit pricy just to go down a slide for 45 seconds and also can't take your own go pro which is a let down so have to pay more and they don't tell you that!!!
I just wasted almost 30 minutes in a queue to be told just in front of the cash desk that the tickets for the slide are not available. I really wanted to try the slide but I definitely won't be back after the very bad experience today. Very unprofessional!
Friendly staff, romantic vibe.. recommended to friends
