I think the slide is a bit overrated.. Its not much of a thrill tbh, you can have a lot more thrill and fun at an adventure park by spending slightly more.. I think its just a lot of catchy advertising and the GoPro video that you get has inbuilt adverts in it..
We went down the slide an hour after our allocated time slot. The slide itself was fun but not worth an hour wait, if it was just a 15 minute wait at most then would have given 4 stars.
Interesting art work. Magnificent views over Queen Elizabeth Olympic park and east end of London
The big slide is great fun, you won't regret going on it! Don't miss out on the viewing platform either, if only for the crazy mirror! It's very expensive, hence the 4 star review instead of 5, but it's fab for a treat!
Very cool. The view from the top of the Olympic Park is very beautiful. The slide is sooo good, the descent is worth it.
Good view of outskirts of london and city too. you can view shard if clear sky is there.
Would live to rate it better but lifts had broken down so it was closed. A real waste of time making the journey.
Very lucky with the weather, the whole process seemed well organised and ran smoothly. The view from the top was amazing worth going up after the slide down as then you can bring phones etc.
Pre booked online, slide was an amazing experience would recommend to everyone there was a range of ages all going up toget her good family experience if you don't mind heights.
Great place in general to visit with near by restaurant and a ground floor feature fountain great for all ages when it's decent weather.
The main feature is the Orbit and busy you can book online.
I have the pleasure to open and close the Orbit and admire the views day time and night time as I work there as an on site Engineer.
Great for function, meetings and Weddings as it's licenced for that special day.
Hope you enjoy your experience.
Regards from an on site Engineer.
Visited the Orbit while looking around Elizabeth park. It's an absolutely amazing structure with great views from the top. Access to the top is via a lift with two floors for observation, the lower currently been the one with the slide - not been very brave didn't descend this way. At the top there are information boards pointing out the various landmarks making identification of the buildings on the horizon easier but most you will probably recognise. The site is fully accessible with the lift returning visitors unable to take the 400+ steps down to ground level . Toilets were on the second level and more are close to the attraction next to the cafe. Staff were very chatty and welcoming a must is to take your camera when visiting.
Was a good experience overall, the slide itself is thoroughly enjoyable experience, but I'm surprised it's not glass/ seethrough the whole way down in order to utilise the views more! The outfits were also an experience in themselves More
A monument dedicated to movement.
A slide for adrenaline lovers but an elevator and a staircase to admire the magnificent view at this place
Upon arrival a sign on the door that the slide was sold out for today. Fortunately they were able to make one final exception for our two gentlemen.
The tip is therefore to make a reservation.
As a viewpoint I would recommend the Sky Garden near the Tower of London. The slide itself is of course unique.
Most enjoyable visit to the venue yesterday, staff were fantastic, would highly recommend 10/10
Booked the family ticket and even for someone who has no head for heights (myself) spent a very pleasant afternoon with my two grandsons here. From the moment we arrived was impressed by how well run and organised the whole venue was. All the staff were very friendly and welcoming and could not have done more to accommodate us. Made a very enjoyable and memorable visit. Thank you all.
View was nice. I found the slide a little disappointing, very bumpy and too dark and quick to see anything. All the staff were very friendly
Me and my husband took my son and he's 3 friends to the orbit for my son's 9th birthday on sunday 30th of july at around 5 oclock, they had an excellent time at the orbit the staff are great from the entrance to the lift to the slide and the shop and the exit .they are very welcoming always smiling. They are a very nice team well done for making our visit a wonderful experience orbit team my son and he's friends loved it the whole experience made the day thankyou.
More than a beautiful view of the city, the largest sculpture in the United Kingdom and the largest slide in the world.
I wouldn't recommend visiting the slide or the viewing platform, considering the high price. I had pre-booked tickets for 4:15pm, but upon arrival was told that they were running late and we would get tickets to use the slide for 4:30pm instead.
The lockers are outside, so as it was raining heavily we got pretty wet while sorting our belongings out you're not allowed to take anything onto the slide with you.
The views from the top of the sculpture were okay unfortunately we weren't lucky with the weather but the queue for the slide made the whole experience feel like more of a punishment than a positive experience.
Very disappointing experience! We took a train from far away, exclusively to experience the slide with my 9 years old daughter; when we got there, they told us that the service was not available.
We had checked their web in the morning, and it was not showing any inconveniences, but informing that they are open 7 days a week!
Fun outing destination in Queen Elisabeth Park, Stratford. Elevator up to the view of London. Walk or ride down the slide.
Great fun but over very quickly. Will to do again. Remember to leave your coats and jackets in the lockers downstairs else you have to wear elbow pads over the top which is a bit uncomfortable.
Long wait for the slide, but the views and the amazing trip down to the bottom make it worth it. Brilliant fun!
Appalled with the service received today. Had an email to say the the "orbit is not open at this time due to unforeseen circumstances" two hours prior to my ticket time.
Then I've tried calling the ticket office up about 10 times and sent two emails to find out why but no answer.
Disgrace of service wasting people's time and energy.
If you looking to book tickets or changing ticket times please note their phone lines are a complete sham and customer service aren't great..
Definitely a nice attraction, I had bought the London Pass and the description of the free offer on the site is misleading. The game is paid, it is free to take the elevator to enjoy the view
Good experience but be prepared to que for a good while at the slide. U Need an hour or 2 to enjoy it properly The staff seemed a little disorganised when we attended but this didn't affect our experience. Great views over London so worth spending some time up there looking around Would definitely do it again
What an amazing place! This is probably the best place to get a 360 degree view of London without spending too much. There's massive slide from the top, it really long but takes about 30 seconds. If anyone's an adrenaline junkie, must try it out!
Get slide tickets and try your best not to scream on your way down!
Goes on longer than you expect! Make sure you have long sleeves though.
Cool part, nice idea, top location and the environment is hard to beat. We had pre-ordered.
Even if there was no one and they were still open (or at least, they were supposed to be open), they didn't make me enter because it was too late.
Way too expensive for what it is. Five quid would be about the right price.
I was thinking the slide gonna be faster so I am dissapointed. Delays etc. Poor exp for the money we paid. Just the view from the top was nice...
There is a spectacular view over London from here. I watched a gorgeous sunset not long ago, it was breathtaking. If you want something more thrilling, try the slide. I haven't tried it myself, but it looks very exciting.
The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is that most people go up for the views and take photos. Unfortunately the safety metal mesh is so dense I can't even put my camera through to take photos. From the inside you have reflections from the window. So you end up taking photos with the steel structure in the frame or you have reflections of the inside. I wish they could do something about it.
The view is genuinely very impressive, Windows need a clean though
Fun sculpture you can walk lift with a slide and the chance to absailling down but you have 2 pay.
Overpriced. Ugly. Depressing experience. The staff are rude. I took a group of students who were treated like criminals as they were queuing politely for the slide. The staff kept aggressively asking them if they had cameras or phones on More
I won't lie it looked mad but actually coming down was fun I even got the misses who doesn't like heights down would love to do it again
I attended an event at the cafe and I was very impressed by the staff and the venue. It was a large space with a well stocked bar. The balcony was great and the views were lovely.
The only game for miles around in this park. It's worth an afternoon shortly before closing which is when fewer people are. The subway is about 20 minutes walking but it is the best way to get there. Do not expect a large park with many games.
Really super cool! Make a reservation if you want to go down the slide.
Could be a bit cheaper (especially offpeak) but has some really lovely views to enjoy on a warm evening of the Olympic park and the City in the distance. Surprisingly high, and it's nice they included an outside section to enjoy the sounds aswell as the sights.
A nice place to have a wonderful view of London and also to enjoy a high speed slide which is quite exciting, however do come way early than 5pm if you want to get tickets for the slide ride!
Grand daughter loved it, i was terrified, no long queue, friendly staff, bit expensive, pleasant area next to river & next door to precinct, defo recommend
Nice structure and nice views from the top. The new slide is awesome and recommended. If you are brave enough you can also do abseiling.
I'm petrified of heights, was scared to go on this but had a great time. Super fun! Would go again
Super View of the Olympic site and a nice distance view of the Skyline of London.
Security staff have a disgusting attitude , really unhelpful rude and hostile. I've been to a lot of "security gated" attraction and tall points in london and never have a been treated so rudely.
As amazing as this otherwise is - DON'T GO in warm weather. No opening windows and no air conditioning on the hottest day of the year way up in the sunny sky made for a hellish 30mins queuing. The staff were so lovely, but I feel so sorry for them being forced to work indoors in 35C heat in full uniform for hours.
Apart from delays, which was fine since you get to see the view, it was a fun memorable experience. Would recommend
Amazing view if the whether is good and the slide is a tremendous amount of fun!
