Wow, what an awrsome place to wander around for a coupla hours, for free. They may charge for parking during the school year, but it was free when we went. Flower didplaus were great, it seemed to just keep going from area to area, lots for kids to do along the way as well.

Outstanding venue, and a good place to take a walk and relax, or even exercise. They have a beautiful location for weddings/events. I am looking forward to the expansion of the arboretum for an even richer experience.

An under-appreciated gem in State College. The Arboretum is beautifully maintained and free. Many of the flower beds are replanted several times a year so there's always something in bloom. The new children's area is beautifully designed so you're always discovering another hidden fun thing. Well worth visiting, and revisiting.

Loved everything about this place. Quaint, beautiful, relaxing, pleasant smells from the flowers. You can sit and relax here amongst the gardens. You can bring lunch and check out the views. You can bring your kids cause there is an awesome fun and creative playground. Also on the romantic side there is a sparkling fountain. I would go there every day.

Beautiful, well-maintained, manicured gardens, even a children's play area, and all for FREE. The sun dial was spectacular. The children's area has musical instruments, and many things to explore! The trellis, arbors, and water fountain were beautiful! Really enjoyable and relaxing!

A wide variety of flora, many labeled with their Latin and common names. Also, some small and large statuary. They've expanded over the years and will continue to. A thriving, beautiful place, and a State College must-see.

This was well worth the stop for a nice easy walk but you can walk the extended trail if you have more time and the energy. Easy access in and out, just park your car and walk around a bit and see some interesting trees and flowers. There is a fun fake cave for kids. Benches. The grand view is nice. Nice bathrooms. Very open and visible from all around. Great spot for families. Nice map.

Have not been there since it opened until recently. I was shocked at how it has evolved. I realize the plant life shouldn't be manicured at an arboretum but most of it is bunched together, so you can't even tell which plant is which. Poorly designed and what a shame since there was so much property that could have developed into a much larger space for the vegetation to grow and be recognized. Sadly, it's second rate and amateurish the planning shows it...Penn State could have made a world class arboretum with the funding--even the Disney corporation would be disappointed.
