Beautiful place to walk around, take photos, have a picnic, or go to events!

We love it here and can't wait to come back in the fall!!

Trees, trees, so many trees!!! Really is a great place to wander around on a nice summer afternoon.

Late October is generally not the best time for garden viewing. This garden had plenty to see and appreciate. Many types of pumpkins, squash and gourds from a weekend festival; great water features; and a wonderful children's garden. I plan to return in the spring or summer.

I had an amazing time at the arboretum. There were so many different plants and things to see. There is a fountain and a pond. There is also a children's area which is open for everyone. I highly recommend taking a visit. It's free, it only takes about an hour to enjoy, and you get to be around amazing plants. What more could you ask for?

Breathtaking views. Beautifully kept flora and fauna. Many fun natural activities for kids and kids at heart. All plants are labeled for easy identification. While I was here there was a nice breeze blowing that kept things cool while walking. There are many places with chairs to sit in the sun or shade as you tour the gardens. Very impressive!

Great place to visit, kids activities, horticulture knowledge and fun water features. building a new section now called pollinator garden. Can't wait to see new section complete.

Wonderful seasonal displays. Keep an eye out for community events like live music, admission is typically free for those. The new children's garden is very nice, and a lot of fun for everyone, regardless of age. Get there before dusk so you can enjoy the Lily pond before the flowers close up for the evening.

The Arboretum is a very rare gem in the State College Area.
We love the children's garden. My 5 yr old could spend hours there. They have a cave with a sand box, musical instruments, vegetable garden, a continuous programs throughout summer and for special events throughout the year.

Went there during the fall, its a great place to relax and take in all that nature has to offer.

It's open EVERY day, dawn to dusk. Don't understand why it says here that it's closed at the weekend.

Beautiful, peaceful, scenic. Wonderful place for a walk, a day out with kids, pictures, a wedding, or to actually enjoy a garden. Great space right off of campus. Hidden gem.

Great place... exceptionally well maintained. Super kids area.

Took out 3 year old and our 3 and 5 year old nephew's. We spent most of the day there, they had a blast!

Awesome walk through the Arboretum. Everything is green, growing and vibrant. The gardens in Childhood's Gate were great.

Beautiful place to see flowers and plants at Penn State

A unique space on campus where you can learn more about plants. I occasionally enjoy a meal in there. The only drawback is that it is on the edge of the campus.

Great place for kids! Lots of well maintained plants and good for a walk. Often times have organized activities throughout the week. If you are in the area definitely check it out!

Lovely selection of perennials and seasonal displays. Public bathrooms. Free parking. Watch out when they have private functions...the parking fills up and access to the bathrooms stops often

Quite lovely. Educated people social distancing. Mostly outdoor courtyards. Well labeled if plant identification is your deAl. Some really good artificial rock structures.
