Hate to beat up on public spaces that are trying to educate people, but this place was super underwhelming. Definite tourist trap. For the nearly $30 admission per adult I was expecting a heck of a lot more. Several exhibits were under construction and there are not that many to begin with.

You can be through here in under an hour and still see all there is to offer with plenty of attention paid to each item. For half the price, I would highly recommend, but this should be part of a larger zoological park to justify the cost. The exhibits are nice and with decent attention to detail, just only about 10 of them...

Nice exhibits, easily accessible. Got to pet stingrays and see a variety of marine life - diverse population! A couple of exhibits were closed. This is very close to the outlet collection at RiverWalk as well which makes it convenient to go here.

I loved the location and appearance of this beautiful aquarium. We have visited alot of aquariums and I was a little disappointed about the cost to value ratio.
Great for smaller kids and first time aquarium goers.

Slid down mask in a partially outside exhibit to ASK EMPLOYEE A QUESTION because he was 50 FEET away and above feeding a bird. He verbally attacked us for sliding down masks to raise our voice so he could hear. He never did answer even after I put my mask back on and just ignored us. I asked again (100% nice and cooperative) and all he responded was another verbal threat about masks or removal. There was another white family in there before us and they didn t even have masks but were told nothing. We had our masks on the ENTIRE TIME with the exception of asking him a question. Even my 4 year old.
I m a woman of color and I know what it feels like to be targeted by young white superiority complex males.
Otherwise - facility was clean, but the aquarium has no interactive elements other than a few sentences posted in each exhibit. Since it s rather small, the whole thing lasted 30 minutes. And that was us being patient. The only employee we had the misfortune of seeing during the walk through was the one who targeted us. If they are cutting down on educational quality for safety concerns I m 100% on board and understand, but should not charge $100 to do a 30 minute walk through.
We were even required to pay $25 for parking for 3 hours.
Won t ever go back that s for sure. Just disappointed I wasted the day driving there to be attacked by an employee and a 30 minute walk through.

Very nice summer attraction, as it's air conditioned. Don't miss the ray tank, they are like underwater kittens. The shark tank is pretty massive, and well stocked with all kinds of marine life. The otters are not to be missed. Within walking distance of the quarter, but a bike rental or pedicab is probably a good idea.

My favorite was the white alligator that was not albino but leucistic. The other exhibits are nice too.

I also enjoyed the art sculptures made from things found in the ocean.

I got the family membership so my family of 4 could visit the butterfly exhibit and the zoo.

Worst aquarium I've ever been to. There are thematic show room that doesn't have anything to do with New Orleans (mayans and Amazon). A lot of the interactive modules don't work. I wouldn't recommend, taking into account that the entrance is $30 usd for adults. I can't understand how the reviews have 4.5 stars...

Extremely packed with little room to view the exhibits, they could've done much better with the space that they had.

The tanks were extremely dirty, unpleasant to look at hard to see. Underwhelming experience, would not recommend to any friends, absolutely not worth $30 per ticket. In and out in less than an hour.

Also, pretty sure there was a dead shark caught in some stairs. Two anacondas should definitely not be in the same small and very dirty tank together either, waste of money.

Was a nice place to bring the family, but was a little disappointed to have gone through the whole place so quickly. Looking forward to more exhibits coming in the future and cant wait to check out the zoo, insectarium, and planetarium. Gift shop had all kinds of neat knick knacks and wasnt too expensive. Membership passes are definitely worth it and would recommend for anyone going more than once a year!

I think it's over priced! It was a bit boring. You have to pay $10+ an HR for parking. They take your picture and try to sell it to you. Then when you watch a movie in the theater they sell concessions. Just seems money hungry!

Pleasantly surprised. There are quite a few different areas in this location and you are guided along more or less by the layout of the exhibits. We stopped halfway through and had a light lunch but a straight-through visit could be done in about 2 hours. Excellent variety of marine life.

The best! For several things: first, the only that allow to the New Orleans residents to enter free! Yes freee, one day per month! That is think not only on businesd but in the communnity.
Second, the place had a beautiful shows, like the mayan wall. A tank with sharks and more.
Third, what about animals from the south? Well there is a section for that! White aligators and more.
Fourth, a great surprise: birds! 2 places of wonderful birds! Both awesome, one, inforgetable!
Sorry, this review is long, but the experience was great for me and my family!

Basically what you're wanting out of an aquarium. Good to bring family to or go about by yourself. I always love the jellyfish. The seahorses are also on display rather nicely. Didn't eat here, so I can't say about the food prices.

Pretty cool place, not quite to the same scale as the Museum of Natural History or the Bronx Zoo, but where else can you end up covered with curious budgies and not get bit? Note: the friendly attendants gently brush them off before you exit, so you don t have to pluck them off one at a time like you do with burrs.

Maybe my expectations were a bit high going in, but this aquarium struggled to be mediocre, especially for the ticket price. The animals were basic and ordinary species with very few exotic ones, and the display cases and habitats struggled to have that wow factor to represent their animals. The tour literally took only 30 minutes for $120. Very disappointed.

Wide variety of animals and exhibits to look at. Also watched their Great White Shark movie they have and it is very interesting. Great place for families to go to and have a nice time.
