Great experience, well planned out, really interes...
Great experience, well planned out, really interesting. All round a must see. 4* because if disabled, but then there's not alot they can do about that bit

Everything about this place is so well-done. It strikes what feels like exactly the right tone. Online tickets sell out weeks, if not months, in advance. We didn't get them in time and had to wait in line for 90 minutes. But it was worth every second.
Amazing place very moving easy to get through when you book on line very helpful staff
Such an important part of history that should never be forgotten.
It's a thrilling place, the war comes so close. It's the absolute highlight of the city. Dive into history and explore how a frightened girl lived.
An absolute must if visiting Amsterdam for the first time or not visited before. Book a time slot online and be on time cause the line is around the block and gets really chilly in winter
The museum is simply and tastefully done to honour the memory of the Frank family and others who hid during WWII. Very moving. Recommend booking online and skipping 1 hour wait
The top stop in Amsterdam in my opinion. This is a must for anyone visiting Amsterdam for the first time.
A nice neighbourhood with references to modern history.
Extremely moving experience. This is a must-do in Amsterdam. You have to buy tickets online in advance. The line was crazy.
Amazing bit of history. So sad the story and what they went through. Well worth the visit.
Small house but lots of reconstruction meant many rooms were empty
Better if they limited how many people enter at a time a bit more
Very nice and informative Museum. The new improvements are really well done!
Line was around the corner and down the street. Be sure to reserve your ticket months in advance!!
Very beautiful museum. Alot of information with audio transmitter.
Very interesting place to visit, highly recommended!
Interesting place with a free audioguide available but:
- you have to book tickets online otherwise you have to wait around 2-3 hours to enter after 15.30 (03.30 pm)
- a long queue inside the building because they just want to get more and more people.
- The museum hasn't tried to make people have a much more realistic experience, just walking inside a reconstructed building.
It was the best tour ever. I felt I was part of that group that hid from the gestapo. The tour is highly recommended.
1. Line is super long so deffos try to book online 2 months before
2. Not very comprehensive
3. There are houses of the living area but it's an unfurnished room so it can be disappointing
4. Best thing about it was seeing Anne Frank's diary irl
The best museum I have ever visited. The amount of detail and information really makes you feel like you were in that secret annex with them. It is a must do for anyone visiting amsterdam. Your trip is not complete without it. I recommend booking 2 months in advance as that is when 80% of the daily tickets are released. You can buy on the day (only able to purchase online though!) but there is not as much opportunity
The Museum is actually inside the real fabric where Anne was hidden with her family for 2 years. The Museum is really touching and give you an idea about what meant to be a Jewish during the second world war.
A nice street with a nice canal and nice Dutch people
Pot luck getting online tickets on the day! Tickets are released two months in advance. Some on the day bookable tickets available. We tried 4 days last year with no success. 2nd day trying this year and we got lucky! Very busy site. Very sad. Good value for money. Nice cafe. Weather was very hot house seemed well aired. So although busy it was bearable.
It was such an immersive experience. It brings you into he world that they lived in and how they felt during the time. A must visit
A great experience. Worth the effort. For someone interested in history this is one place to visit for sure
Really interested and touching. Really brings to life a little of what Anne had to endure.
Very moving experience. Get your tickets online in advance. Like a few weeks in advance. Even then the line is long. The tour is short, but worth it. I recommend you see this on your visit.
An experience that will stay with me forever. The courage shown by this amazing child is nothing short of inspirational
Only one needs to book time slots at least 3/4 months earlier.. Most popular destination at AMS
It's not much a museums, it's more an experience, an experience one must live.
A very somber and moving experience. A nice free audio tour in multiple languages is provided. The displays of actual artifacts in situ, along with many photos and video interviews fleshes out Anne's story. I highly recommend this meeting to everyone from young teen on up.
This was incredible. If you want learn and reflect then I would definitely recommend. It is really well managed and staff were friendly and polite.
Must see. There is a very comprehensive audio tour with admission, so there is no benefit to doing a tour group or guided tour other than ticket availability.
A must if in Amsterdam, you can't ignore this historical building. Brings to life the bravery, fear and injustice of the people hiding there.
Professional and knowledgeable staff. Well worth investing in the half hour introduction prior to experiencing the house itself. A hard hitting and emotional experience regardless of what connection you have personally, it's a very important and human experience.
A must see when visiting Amsterdam. Loved how it was done. Made you very connected to how she lived. Would strongly recommended getting tickets ahead of time. Saw lines outside that took hours to get in.
Worth the visit, especially for the history lovers!
anne come out now we arnt playing hide and seek anymore iets been too long nein eight seven six five four three two one let the gas go
Amazing place full of history, plus access to the famous loft room. Well worth going to visit. Tip though, book in advance for a specific appointment time as queues likely
Very educational and eye opening. A must see in Amsterdam.
This was my second time visiting the Anne Frank house. The first time was in 2009 and they didn t have the audio tour then. I felt the audio tour really helped build context and convey feelings of fear, despair and at times hope, that the families in the house felt at the time.
Well organized, friendly staff &very moving. Had breakfast at a great place right next door. The pancake place.
I visited here out of tourist season. There were no queues. The exhibition is designed perfectly to understand the story clearly and to have some sort of idea how life would have been to hide in fear of your life for so long. A must see
Very moving and well done. Buy your tickets online. If they are unavailable for the day you want keep trying as additional tickets are released up to the day of entry.
The museum has a self guided audio tour in multiple languages. While the building has been renovated in certain areas parts of the original building and the annex are intact. No photography is permitted.
Definitely worth the visit... It is a place to imagine the life during the war, and how people suffered in that time...
I recommend this place to everyone but be prepared for a long queue. This is the only cons.
Audio-guides in several languages are available. The audio is well sinchronyzed with all the video spots. It has a lot of details and presents a macro explanation about the history of holocaust. It has great testemonies and exhibitions. Its powerful.
It was very informative but of course super sad. The entire museum is dead silent. You get a little speaker that has commentary for each room and it was pretty crowded at 3pm. I m happy I got to visit.
Wow... How sad. Great reminder of what has happened in the past.
First class historical tour , extremely good and a very moving experience . Very very busy , which is good that so many people want to know about the appalling treatment of the Jewish people by the Hitler regime in Germany.
Really important place to be in. Its nice too see so many people comming y "living" the history.
You must order at least 1.5 month in advance or else you'll wait min 2 hr.
It's a must see if in Amsterdam however there are too many people packed into the place and you are constantly being pushed along unable to browse at your own pace sadly. Would be better if there were less people or if there was better people management.
I would recommend not taking a backpack with you as it has to be worn on the front and there are a set of step stairs.
A real moving experience. We were so lucky to get tickets on line this morning. I would recommend you book your tickets in advance and a must visit when in Amsterdam
Amazing to see the hidding spot. It provides context for the writing.
System of online tickets works really well - No waiting in queues as it used to be. Staff is knowledgeable and friendly. Very nice informative tour.
Impressive.. makes you think about what are the really important and key things in the life... is a must in Amsterdam
I visited the anne frank house over 20 years ago and since then they have taken over the adjacent buildings and the exhibition space adds context to her story, but the feelings of both sadness and anger remain the same. However, now with dark forces emerging in the world the history of the nazis is perhaps more relevant than it should be.
A Must-go. Alike many, we also had the issue of not knowing that tickets can be booked two months in advance, so when we checked, of course it was sold out. But worry not, check at 850/ 9am, and there would be tickets released. (Even my family of five managed!) the museum is informative, and creates a suitable atmosphere for audience to understand and reflect on the past. The audio guide comes along with the tickets, and was suitable for young children as well. Do not miss out of this experience. It was truly eye-opening to see the place Anne Frank and her family hid
A mandatory visit when in Amsterdam. The exhibition is set with such taste and delicacy and the story of Anne and her family in the house so we'll explained it deserves all the queue we had to wait. This kind of museums and memorials are necessary to remind us of the Holocaust and its horrors so we, as humanity, don't let this awful things happen again. Take your children and tell them about the importance of respect and tolerance and they'll for sure listen after they know the story of Anne Frank.
Very good visit. The people who have set up this place for visitors have done a very good job.
It's not full of pointless things but is very educational and cleverly laid out so you step-by-step get to learn about Anne Frank, the German occupation of the Netherlands in WW2 and what life was like for the Jews.
There is an audio tour guide in about 10 different languages which is very useful.
I would plan 2 hours for this so you have time to listen and read everything.
P.S. get there early, before your allotted time! As there was a queue for me which lasted about 20 minutes.
Must book in advance but an amazing experience if you do go.
Very well preserved.
Very interesting. Makes you better understand what happened during that time
I was expecting to see more personal things apart from the empty rooms.
An absolute must for anyone visiting Amsterdam. It is very surreal to stand in the secret annexe and to see the actual diary of Anne Frank. A great museum with useful audio guide.
Sombre, poignant tribute to a luminous life cut short by evil.
You should learn the story before talking the tour.
A trip you cannot miss fantastic informative tour of the house
What a fantastic experience. It really brings home what happened. Well worth the long time it took to queue.
It's absolutely amazing, you learn more about Anne Frank and where she hid.
Amsterdam is now a fun bubbly town. So it is easy for forget the sad events that the city went trough. History is alive inside this museum. And yes, if you can plan your visit with time you will avoid spending time on the huge lines.
The energy inside the house is something really difficult to explain.
I consider this place as a "Must visit Museum" in the city os Amsterdam.
Really well done and very interesting. If you are in Amsterdam, this is a must see!
