This was probably one of my favourite museums in Amsterdam. You're not allowed to take pictures when you're talking through the house though. The way they structured the audio tour really helped put things in perspective. We went early in the morning 1030-11 time slot) and it was already very busy and some rooms we're packed with people. Keep checking the website even if it looks like all the tickets are sold out. I checked a month before we were planning on going and the website had said that there were no tickets left, but when we checked again 1-2 weeks prior, there were time slots open!

Although I knew the basic story of Anne Frank's life I found this eye opening. We opted for the option with a 20/30 minute talk before the museum tour and thought this put a lot of what was on display in to perspective. The electronic audio tour worked well and I felt I learned from this experience. No photos allowed inside but we were allowed to take some at the talk before hand.

This place is amazing I was so touched by the story. It was so interesting and the audio guides really added to the experience. The only pain was queueing online for the tickets. But over all it was phenomenal I would definitely recommend it!

This is about Anne Frank who tried to escape from the clutches of nazis during WW II. More than the house it is her story (told through a dairy) which is famous. I feel pity for her but cannot understand the concept of a dedicated museum for her.

We'll worth visiting. Tickets need to be purchased well in advance in order to avoid long queues. We were able to get tickets which includes an introductory talk (which was excellent) and museum entry. Very informative and well presented piece of history.

Such an incredibly powerful and well-done museum about the life of Anne Frank and her family. The day we went was rainy and cold but the tour was still completely packed and we could only inch along through each room with our audio guides because there were so many people. Even the crowds didn t take away from this experience however.
Be warned: most tickets sell out weeks or months in advance and are only available online, so book early! However, the Anne frank house also keeps a small number of tickets available that they release online on the morning of the tour. This is how we got our tickets because our Amsterdam trip was last minute, but this option sells out almost immediately and you have to be ready online when they become available.

Very interesting museum in the centre of Amsterdam. The tickets must be booked really in advance online because it is one of the most requested attractions. There is not a physical place where it is possible to buy tickets right there. My gf and I also took part in the introduction lesson and it is really useful, especially if you have never read the diary of Anne Frank or if you don't remember quite well the role of the Netherlands in the WW2. At the end of the visit, it is possible to go to the shop, where you can buy the diary of Anne Frank in different languages and also graphic novel or postcards. In our opinion, it is really worth a visit!

Very moving. You are left with a sense that what happened must never happen again...but you fear it will. Anne Frank epitomises the tragedy which the Nazis inflicted on the world. She could've been someone that contributed so much. So how many more were there like her?

Wanted to go here for a long time. I didn't realise how busy it would be though! I went on a Friday at around 2.30pm and ended up queuing for 2 hours. You might want to pre book tickets instead. It was a great experience thought. Very moving. Would definitely recommend.

Get tickets online two months in advance to save the date. If you wait til the last minute chances are, you may not find tickets available. The only pic I was able to take exiting the house. Pics are not allowed inside.

Incredibly moving attraction. It is very well organized. I wish I had spent more time there. Only issue is that they should make it clear you can check your bag without losing your spot in line on the way in.

Great museum. Small and intimate, very informative and makes you think. Love that coat is relatively low and cost for kids 0-9 is free. Truely a great location that accomplishes everything a museum should. Make the time when in Amsterdam!

It's the exact place where Anne Frank lived her life during those dark Nazi days. War is never good neither a choice of general public except a few terrible leaders which we as laymen never really understood who, what or how they so called legitimately got there.

If you read the painful autobiography, visiting this place and going the whole tour might lead you to shed a tear or two. Its been renovated so you can only imagine how it was back then.

If you are in Amsterdam, don't miss it. It is very crowded, book really early. I'll recommend but leave the entire experience to you~

Absolutely worth the time to visit. Incredibly moving to see where Anne and her family lived during the war and to understand the challenges they faced. Be sure to order tickets online will in advance or you will have to take you chances waiting in line in the afternoon to get in.

Highlight of my trip to Amsterdam. It is a must see. Book tickets online in advance. They sellout quick. The ticket is purchased for a specific time and you are not allowed to get into line until the time on your ticket so no use in coming early.

The Anne Frank house was amazing and very emotional. You would feel as if you're taking a trip back in time, feeling helpless as you hear and witness the horrible things the holocaust caused for the jews living in Holland at that time.

I wasn't prepared for the emotional onslaught I felt afterwards. It was terrifying entering the bookcase yet intriguing. It is well worth booking your tickets online as there was a queue of 100+ people for the majority of the day. We went for the multimedia package and it did not disappoint! Great experience all round.

Amazing place reminds me how valuable the life is. I almost cried when I heard her story. Everyone should buy a ticket with speech, it makes people understand more about Anna and her life. But u must to book it online before your trip. Bc it is only chance to get it.

It is a place that you must visit (of course, first know the story to could enjoy the experience). You have to buy the tickets with a lot of anticipation. However, you could be checking during the day (the same day that you want to visit), and you will find in an specific hour.

My favorite museum in Amsterdam.
Too bad last time I went they admitted more guests than the "comfortable walking" capacity.

Very interesting place to visit, you can go round the side and take pictures at the actual house without entering, however be warned there is A LOT of tourists here. Long queues, tickets only available to buy online which we found to be a big hassle with spotty Roaming signal. We were 26th in the queue on the website to just buy tickets!
Overall the experience was good, but be prepared to take a lot of time to actually be able to get in.

Amazing experience. Experienced the hardships jews went through. Its sad to see how Nazi oppression affected so many people. I pray to God that peace prevails always and human race remains above racial and religious discreminations.

Not what I was expecting. Very touristy! I did love their little personal tour guide system they use. Make sure you buy tickets on line and in advance. It gets crazy busy and they only let in so many people at certain intervals.

First tip: buy tickets two months in advance. Second tip: buy tickets two months in advance. But let s say you didn t. There is no line anymore to wait for entrance. There are paid bouncers to make sure that the plaza in front of the museum entrance is kept clear, so don t try to ask visitors if they happen to have a spare ticket.

You CAN try to get same day tickets, but it s all very confusing. Here s what the customer service said:
Last minute tickets are released on our website strictly starting at 9:00 AM.

Due to high demand there is a lot of traffic on our website at this time. You might therefore be put in a queue to reach the actual site where you will see availability of tickets. A lot of people will therefore start visiting the website a few minutes before 9:00 AM.

However, you can only stay on the website for a limited amount of time before your session expires, which usually happens after around 15 minutes of inactivity. It is therefore no use to enter the queue before 8:45 AM.

Result: You can try to get online and you will see the queue is very long even at 8:30 a.m. some mornings. I honestly thought the tickets were released before 9 a.m. But according to the information from the staff, it seems that a bit of timing and luck are needed. It s still a bit of a mystery how anyone manages to secure tickets on the day of, but good luck.

Amazing to see the place that Anne Frank was hidden in. If you've read the diary of Anne Frank then you need to see this place!

Yes, there will be a long wait. If the queue stretches to the other side of the cathedral/church then you're in for a 2.5 hour wait. Worth it. Queuing starts around 3. Museum stays open till 10.

Bad experience for me.

Bad experience for me.
I had a heavy back pack when I arrived and was forced to carry it in front of me for the whole visit.
No alternative was offered (lockers)
I felt discriminated and had a bad time.
I understand the idea that people with bag on their back would be hitting other clients but this would happen only in the few crowed areas and I think was people are educated enough to realise when their back pack is annoying and when it is not. I personnaly take a backpack in the busy London tube almost every day
