It gives you great insight to the story of Anne Frank. The museum is great and it was nice exploring and learning how they used to hide during those times. Those interest to know more about how they lived during wartime should give the museum a visit. The staffs were great and there is also free audio guide. Get your tickets around and allocate around 1 and a half hours here.
One of the most sought after museums in Amsterdam, so make sure to get your tickets 2 hours in advance. The day of, it's good to arrive there 10 or 15 minutes before your starting allotted time, cause there will be a queue if it's later in the day... it goes pretty fast though...
Museum is very well constructed and very well run. Because the number of tickets is limited, and they don t allow photographs, the experience is much better than some museums. It may seem restrictive but the nature of the museum calls for a more subdued experience.
So I loved this museum and how it is set up, but I need to give it a four star review due to the employees. When we were speaking to them outside, waiting for our time to enter, they told us that we could take as long as we wanted in the museum. Of course, we understood that there are people behind us and we wouldn t want to hold up anyone else in the experience, so we made sure that we were going at a good pace to not hold up or contest the foot traffic through the museum. With that being said, as we were listening to the audio tour, walking through the rooms, the employees in the museum were constantly telling us to keep moving. This caused us to have to hurry through the museum and not get to listen to the entire audio tour. It s a bummer, but the museum was still cool to experience and say I ve been there.

Absolutely wonderful experience here. Try to go early in the day because there are a lot of people that go and it can get crowded. Definitely worth the money. Be aware that tickets are only sold online, however.
It's good, but now that eastern europe is opened up you get a better sense of the atrocities of the holocaust in other countries.

It was closed when we reached there. After checking with the staff there, they told us the booking for days after Tmrw also full. Sad. However just walking around this area is beautiful

If you find your way to Amsterdam, find your way to the Anne Frank Haus. It's a very moving experience and you learn so much. Everyone reads the story growing up but to be able to stand in that very loft and realise just how small it was to live in, unable to leave with so many others and how the floorboards creak. You can't even imagine it until you've experienced it. It's heartbreaking but a story we must all remember in order to keep from repetition.

Really impressive. I liked that you got a free audiotour with it, and the way you were guided around the museum was amazing too. There were however a lot of people, which sometimes distracted me some, but that's not really the museum's fault. Really important though to book your tickets in advance!
Been to Amsterdam so many times now and finally got to go and see Anne Frank's House. Is a MUST do when there. Very sad but a strong reminder.
Very moving and real experience. Hard to walk through without getting emotional but well worth the visit. They are remodeling the entrance currently so you can only book tickets online and should do so well ahead of time or you may not get in!

Really interesting piece of history and it's been presented in an interactive and informative manner. My only criticism is that it was soooooo busy. We just shuffled along the assembly line with everyone else. Really detracted from the experience.

They have a crazy ticket allocation scheme. You need to book on line. Even if you turn up at the door, and are prepared to wait etc, they won't entertain you. Not so good !
This is a must do experience that can be quite upsetting but well worth it. What's done can't be undone but this excellent audio tour may help prevent something like it happening again. It leaves a lasting impression of how cruel and inhuman behaviour can be countered by the bravery and resilience of good people regardless of background.

Very difficult to get in unless you plan well in advance. You also need internet access since zero tickets are sold at the door. A limited number of tickets are released at varying times on the day, but extremely long internet queues make it nearly impossible to gain access. If you're planning on being in Amsterdam, don't hold off booking.

Oh goodness, I was crying when I was there. I watched the movie before coming to the museum. Not by books but movie. Each step I strode, I was reminded of movie screen shots with what she had been overcome, I was moving deeply from inside. Then until it was too much up in my tiny heart, my tears suddenly dropped silently.
I think it's the success of the curator and well apply with installation arts.
Whatever you do in Amsterdam, you have got to visit this. This is well organised. Experiencing the subject that I learnt about at school was mesmerising. The world has been at loss without having Anne Frank being able to tell her own story, but at least it is in writing.
Great audio tour, not very expensive and a fantastic insight into one of World War 2's most tragic stories
The Anne Frank House is a tour you and your children will always remember. What a piece of history this tour offers and it s amazing to be in the same location as Anne and her family lived. There is a scene in the original Anne Frank movie in which she and Peter are upstairs and you can see the clock tower from the window in the ceiling and hear the bells ring exactly as you see and hear when you visit.
Great space dedicated to preserving valuable history. Very thankful to have experienced this piece of Amsterdam.
Very intense tour. You are guided through the house, where screens tell you bits of Anna's story. Sadly no photo allowed.

A little better than I expected. Nice little exploration tour. Throughout the house you get to read passages of the diary. Buying the ticket in the internet with reserved time slot was definitely a good idea. Would never get on that line. It ends with a nice spacius room with documentaries showing around the screens.

Please note that you can only pre-book your tour online, thankfully this has done away with the enormous queues which used to run from Anne Frank's House right around the Westerkerk and beyond, an absolute must see attraction when visiting Amsterdam
Excellent work from the stuff of museum. The museum was in a great condition and it seems like you were reading again the diary. The museum's cafe after the visit was nice and you could rest as long as you want.
Visited the famous Anne Frank house, which was one of the popular places to visit in Amsterdam. I totally love the canals in Amsterdam and the fact that the water transportation is so amazing. There were a ton of people here and you need to make an online booking as they allow only a limited quota of people to enter the museum. So make sure you book online before your visit.

An amazing experience they brought the whole situation to life very unfortunate situation however your immersed in it once or in that museum. Very informative and the details are exceptional. I highly recommend to visit Anne Frank house at least once if you ever visit Amsterdam.

One of the best museums I've visited - really touching, and moving but told you all the facts in a really well ordered and elegant way. Fantastic experience but book in advance.
The expect itself is very interesting but the way it is run is not efficient. We spent more time standing in line with 30 other people than actually seeing different rooms of the house.

You can't miss it if you come to Amsterdam. The experience was actually really emotional. First, you start the visit at the ground floor where they tell you the story of Anna Frank and her family. Then, you visit the annex.
You can see things such as the Anna's height measuring marks on the wall or her pictures collection.
The audio guide system is fantastic and the narrator puts a lot of emotion into it, which makes it more realistic.
One thing I advice is to book the tickets in advance. Hassle free and just arrive at your scheduled time.

An amazing experience. Recommend to everyone who hasn't gone. Also got tickets same day (luckily) just got on the website at 9 am. It does however get packed and has some small spaces so for those who may suffer from claustrophobia, just a precaution.
