The food is good. And the decor and seats are good. The booths are comfortable. The continual problem. The food is worth the price paid. The same waiter and same problem. We ordered ten oz steak and the steak that we got served. It was another kind that was more expensive. We called the manager had the price changed. The waiter did it to us. Each time. And we not have him wait on us anymore. We had similar complaints about the waitresses with management. And got tired of it. We got a free beverage. The female waitress not want to wait on us. They were nicer to the male tables. They ran away when they saw us. We had to ask them to come back and wait on us. Talk back rude, slow service, yell and interrupt, said not want to write down the order and did it, tried to stick finger in the food, rush to get rid of us, eat food while wait on us,gave us paper towels when we ask for more napkins, walk away while we are talking to them. And we had to ask them to come back. Gave food and drink. Tried to run away quickly. Not a tip. And got angry.

This place is okay at best. It was my first time here. The atmosphere is fun, warm, and inviting. However, we got sat in the wild turkey lounge to eat dinner not knowing that we had to make a reservation to sit in the main dining areas we DID call earlier in the day to ask if we had to make a reservation and the woman on the phone told us that we did not need one. She really should have disclosed that we needed one in order to sit in main dining, so we were not happy with that at all when we arrived at the hostess stand.

The service was good and quick. Our waitress was very nice. She brought us a platter with olives, peppers, pickles, crackers and cheeses. The cheddar cheese they have tastes exactly like the Easy Cheese cheese that you whip out of the can. I can t comment on the bleu cheese they have since I ve never liked it in the first place.

Everything we got was $116, so it wasn t bad although I wish the steaks were better. I d much rather go to The Peddler for their all-you-can-eat salad bar and much more reasonably priced steaks that taste 1000xs better.

This place is truly special. I don't think anyone has as enthusiastic a take on Christmas at any other restaurant I've been to. The lighting and decorations were jaw-dropping.

The food itself is incredible, the steak was cooked perfectly and puts big-city steakhouses to shame. The waitstaff were warm and friendly, and made us feel right at home.

If you are in the area, this is definitely worth taking a whole evening to go and relax with friends, it's impossible not to have a good time here!

I'm sorry but I don't get what people see or better said, taste in this place. My wife and I recently moved to the Triangle area from Miami and came across The Angus Barn when searching online for a good steak restaurant. Unfortunately this isn't it. This establishment is mediocre at best and will never survive in a big city due to quality expectations for food and service. What it has going for itself is local loyalty from inexperienced dining consumers who most likely dine out a few times a year. My wife and i travel routinely all across the United States for business and are frequently dining out, looking for a quality experience. And I get that this restaurant isn't touting to be a Ruth Chris, Smith & Wollensky, Red-the steakhouse, Morton's, Fleming's or even a Capital Grille, etc. but for the price point you expect the service, experience and quality of food to be up to par. First of all, I get the theme...A barn/country atmosphere, but what I didn't expect was a to go to dinner at a Cracker Barrel chain restaurant that serves steaks, and in essence this is the atmosphere and quality of food you get at the Angus Barn...Think Cracker Barrel or Barbecue pit restaurant decor and level of service but paying 3x prices. The pros: the steaks were well cooked to order and wine selection is okay, the fresh baked bread and butter was good, that's about it. THE CONS: Where do I start... Service was slow and horrible, again for the type of dining establishment you expect more. The French onion soup which they boast as a speciality, tasted like dirty water with cheese melted on top via microwave. The steaks although cooked to temp had no seasonings, I mean completely tasteless. I Couldn't believe I actually had to use the salt & pepper shaker at the table to season my New York Strip. My wife order the Filet Mignon wrapped in bacon and it came with a steak dipping sauce on side for flavor, which in any fine steak dining establishment is a no-no, but because of lack of seasonings my wife had to use sauce in order to even take a bite. Lastly the sides were blah and blah. You can actually have a better flavored steak and dining experience at Longhorn and save money. You would think you're getting organic beef, Certified Angus or Kobe steaks or Grass fed product, instead their menu states they get their beef from the midwest, which is where everyone else including supermarkets get their beef since most of the cattle industry is located in the midwest. When they asked us if we wanted to see a dessert menu we said no thanks, we will be having desert somewhere else (took my wife to the Umstead Hotel Lounge for dessert and after dinner drinks instead). There is nothing special about this restaurant except the name which describes what you will be in for if you come here.

Great pioneer decor mixed with a fun western feel. Generous portions and featured meat cuts with signature seasonings. I had some amazingly large shrimp that were cooked perfectly, Aka not rubbery. Would definitely need to make a reservation here. Very upscale food in a barn if you're into that.

It's like a bad version of Golden corral, and 10 tlmes more expensive, I'll never go back. Total waist of time and money. and burned food, something floating in my water, the rest of the people that gave a review must be accustomed to McDonalds.

We were celebrating a belated Mother's Day and even though the 5 of us had to eat in regular chairs around a coffee table, the food was outstanding and the service impecable. Our 1st visit and we plan to go back.

I went on a Saturday night for a date and had a wonderful time. I loved that the Christmas decorations were still up, our server Conor explained that it takes about 3 months for them to go up, and another 3 for them to come down, and it shows, they were beautiful! Conor was a real delight, he was well versed on the menus, and had a great table presence, but was not over bearing and let my date and I be, but our water glasses were never empty. The food was outstanding. I wouldn't expect less than the great quality we received. Both steaks (one ribeye, one prime) were cooked exactly as requested. The yeast rolls were amazing before the entrees. And desserts was so good! The chocolate explosion is a lot, but it made for a good laugh to order, and was very tasty. I would highly recommend Angus Barn for special occasions and date nights, or if you've got the budget to just casually dine out for steak! Well worth every penny.

Overall the experience was fun and neat..some of the food was awesome. It was cool to try out a new restaurant we had not been to before but for over $150, it isn t worth the price for us to really go back again and it was overpriced for what we got served (overcooked). When food is overcooked it overall ruins the experience for us so the 3 stars is for the rest of the food and the service.

I recently took my wife here for her birthday and it was a great experience! I highly recommend reservations. We had them and as we were checking in, the wait was an hour and a half for those without reservations!

They have hospitality down pat, making you feel at home and catering to your wishes. My wife wanted a different table and the hostess didn't make me feel awkward or bat an eye when we made the request and moved us without delay.

The food is phenomenal. We ordered the Chateaubriand and it was cooked perfectly. The wedge salad that comes with it is almost an entree to itself and one of the best salads I've ever had. Since it was my wife's birthday, they brought out a small pound cake with a roman candle to celebrate (but without the embarassing cadre of employees forced to sing ;)), which was a nice treat at the end.

My husband and I had a great time! The decor is very rustic but the food and atmosphere are more upscale. We shared the Tomahawk steak that was $96 but it was honestly one of the beat steaks I ve ever had. It also came with two big salads and two sides since it s intended to share. They brought out free crackers with cheese, relish tray and rolls with honey butter. There is no way you could leave this place not stuffed! We shared a nice bottle of wine, loved our waiter, and in general, had really great time.

Service was good, but the steaks were just ok. I had the 10 oz filet and my wife had NY strip. Both steaks were over cooked. Desserts were great, sides were ok. Considering the prices (very high) Angus barn was just ok. I will go back because i think it can be better, but I'll need to save my pennies first.

A great place to celebrate any occasion. Be assured Angus Barn is following all COVID protocols. Ladies, make sure you visit the first floor ladies bathroom. Eloquent. For pictures of your group check out the 1st floor room with the display of guns. You'll make memories.

I think the best word to describe this place is simply "iconic". A 60-year tradition built on timeless quality food, and a true customer centric experience. My first time here, and it was the first time in many years that I truly considered a meal an "experience". My prayers are with the owners and leadership, Covid has hurt larger function oriented restaurants the most. This is one place where a 4.7 rating is actually low.

First time there tonight. We were there for a work anniversary for my husband. David Krawl was our server. The food was great, but the service by far exceeded our expectations. David was wonderful and really kept up with our needs. Thanks David for taking care of us. You made our evening one for the books. We will definitely return in hopes that we can be seated in your section.

Outstanding! Get the hamburger if you live an outrageous one. It's the biggest hamburger I've ever seen. And the beef is extraordinary good. I'll have to go back for a steak. Some of my friends had sandwiches which blew my mind. And don't miss the wild turkey room. That Lounge is the best place to be.

Went here one evening with a large group for a business dinner. Had amazing, attentive, professional service and even better food. Hands down best flavored New York Strip I ve eaten, some to a perfect medium and the loaded potato will make your tongue slap your brains out.

Beef is butchered and aged on site. Well worth the stop if your in the area. They seat over 650 and stay very busy, for good reason?

Always a great meal. My only complaint is that they do not offer a steak on the kids menu. My daughter likes to go for steak, but $34 for a kids meal makes no sense. I guess we'll go back to sharing a meal until she gets older or they fix this.
