The Meat Locker in the Angus Barn may just be one of my favorite places in all of Raleigh. If you are from Raleigh you know Angus Barn is THE place to have a great steak. But the Meat Locker is more off-the-radar. Enjoy a nice steak, a glass of red wine and a cigar in climate controlled comfort. Flat screen TV and nice comfortable leather chairs give it a nice "speakeasy" feel to relax after work. I'd live there if I thought my wife wouldn't know exactly where I was.

My husband and I went to the Angus Barn for our 14th wedding anniversary and the overall experience was wonderful. We loved the atmosphere and our waiter was perfect, I am only giving it 4 stars because I personally expected the steak to have a little better flavor to it. It was good, just not the best flavored steak I've had....but other than that....we loved it!

I ve eaten at the Angus Barn at least 50 times in the last 30 years and generally had good experiences. Called them today to make a dinner reservation for a Saturday in December. The woman laughed at me on the phone and said dinner reservations were near impossible in December but could seat me for dinner after 9:30pm. I said no thanks. Still laughing she said maybe we ll see you after December. I said not a chance. What an unbelievably rude person. Angus Barn you just lost a 30 year customer. Good bye.

They hosted the 30th annual walk for Hope. An event where 100% of money raised went to mental health treatment. There was food, spectacular music, and loving people. It was an amazing event. God bless all the people who made it happen.

In town for business so stoped for dinner on a week nite. Highly recommend by hotel staff, I had hoped for a great dinner. Regular crowd, not too busy judging by the empty tables and no eating time.

Unfortunately the experience was far from the expectation... Terrible service, unorganized staff, poor food delivery, and mediocre food quality.

First contact from server was 20 min after seating.
Drinks were brought in after another 20 min
Food order was taken after 1 hour and 15 min!!!
Food arrived cold after another 45 min.
Total dinner time around three hours.

Loved the barn setup and the interesting collections of guns and other vintage items.

Service - poor
Food - mediocre
Presentation - mediocre
Price - average
Atmosphere - cool old world vibe

Not recommended.

Water glass and side dish were broken, both wine glasses were dirty, service was average and food was average. Didn't meet expectations at all. Barely casual dining experience. Tried to alert staff while leaving but inattentive. Not the Angus Barn we've been accustomed to.

This place is amazing! If you are ever within driving distance to the Angus barn you must visit! The food is amazing but the atmosphere is what sets this place apart. I could walk around just looking at things for hours! From floor to ceilings. Great place!

The food, experience and atmosphere was superb. I loved every minute of it. I felt really special. The food portions were large even though it was pricey it is worth it because it's an upscale restaurant. They have unique pieces of items on the wall. It's a great place for special occasions. I wanna go again. . They have a nice pavilion near by and a bell where couples have their names written on. In general, the Angus Barn is a must try at least once.

Oh my goodness. This place is phenomenal. The prices are quite expensive, however the food is unbelievable. The service...they are on the ball! Never needed a thing...it's like they could read my mind.

I was rushed to catch a flight at RDU. I was worried i would not have enough time to dine at this fine place and srill catch my plane.

Well, I arrived in the parking lot at 750p.m. on Wednesday. i made a dash to the bar upstairs and was lucky to find a chair at the bar. After a few minutes got my drink and food order in. I could not believe my double combo appetiser platter arrived at 8:03. I already hadmy glass of wine and suddenly could not believe how much time Istill had. I went from worrying i could miss a flight to all the time in the world.

When I finished it was barely 8:30 and I was hoping to get away no later that 8"50. Way to go Barn!!

Angus Barn is better than RC/NOLA (you know the one I mean). They have wonderful craft adult beverages. The cheese and cracker appetizer (gratis) is not your mother's cheese and crackers. The steaks are the best I have had (rivalling Morton's, Sullivan's, and Ruth's Chris). Any side dish you choose is the best it could be. We were treated to an interval in the Locker Room: a treat indeed! But the real reason to go here is the service. Thanks for an amazing evening, Kate! Our party was a handful and you handled everything like a pro.

This is a fascinating place. The service was excellent and extremely attentive. The decor is quaint and a little dated in some parts, but some of it is absolutely lovely. The food was all solid, but nothing was exceptional. The wine list is vast and there are some VERY nice wines to choose from. Overall the price felt way too high for me.

What is there to be said that hasn t already been said about the Angus Barn? Been here several times for multiple different occasions and every experience is better than the last! For special occasions or if your craving an incredible dining experience, the Angus Barn is always a solid choice.

We went here for our Anniversary. Although the waitstaff was friendly, we were NOT impressed by the food and the very long wait. We saw several other tables get their food when we were seated after them, and the waitstaff ensured that tables ordering wine were a priority. (My husband and I did not drink alcohol and had sodas instead). I would ask for a refill, and saw the waitress go back and forth to fill wine and hold a conversation with other tables and state that she was "sorry" it took so long to come to our table. Additionally, after spending almost $300, and waiting a little over an hour for our main course, we expected to have a delicious meal. The shrimp coctail appetitizer was good, but the coctail sauce was horrible. The crab legs were decent, but the texture was off. The lobster, what my husband and I really looked forward to was VERY rubbery. Even with the steak knife it took a lot of back and forth cutting to get a small piece. I was exhausted by the end of the meal. We got the check immediately afterward. I REALLY wanted to love this place, and it was a very special occasion. We never write reviews, but in this case we feel that it was warranted. Sometimes you don't get what you pay for. Unfortunately, we will not be back.

The Angus Barn is not just a restaurant, it's a dining experience. Make a reservation and go early just to hang out. The decor is awesome. A great bar with live music. The staff is absolutely the best. I had the 10 oz filet mignon and it was fantastic and cooked perfectly. You will love this place.

Okay. So usually I dont give reviews. However for this restaurant I felt COMPELLED. For starters I want to clarify that price is never the issue.. However, if you guys are serving food so high priced and acclaimed I truly would expect the environment to match it. It was very dusty and caused my 2yr old daughter to have a sneeze fit. The tables are made with stapled cushioned clothe and the seams dont even meet. I mean simple but very obvios and tacky attention to detail. Lastyly and most importantly the steak I ordered ( Ribeye ) was so bland. I was so disappointed. The Ribeye was alright however there was literally not a single drop of flavor. This place is too high rated for it to have as many hiccups in my opinion.

Great food, great drinks, and great service. I loved it here. I had the baby back ribs. They were tender, soft, and just the right amount of sweet. Sit upstairs at the lounge and enjoy some cheese and crackers.

This place is seriously massive. It can be an adventure to get a seat, but it's worth it. Exceptional meat, great food overall, and a thorough bar. Visit this local legend of you're traveling through town, for business or with friends.

The wife and mother in law brought me here for my birthday and this was their first time going to "The barn", they were blown away by the decorations, the service and THE FOOD!!! I've been here a few times and I am amazed everytime I step foot into the wonderful establishment. King of steaks in Raleigh since I moved here in circa 95'!!

If you visit North Carolina, you need to visit this classic. When we are guests of Lenovo, they always host us here for special occasions. This has become a staple in the Lenovo experience. Perfect ambiance, juicy steak, assortment of beverages from wine to craft cocktails; and most important of all, always consistent. Anniversaries, birthdays, events, or even just a night out. While the food is amazing, the wine cellar is even more impressive. The Angus Barn has maintained receiving the Wine Spectator Restaurant Award since 1989. Many of the restaurant's now and former employees have passed the sommelier course, which is no easy feat. The wine cellar itself is almost as impressive as the collection averaging $2 million dollars in stock. The Angus Barn represents all the major wine producing countries and states within their collection. The cellar is cozy, beautiful, and almost otherworldly.
Sure, the Angus Barn might grow, change add and adapt, but one thing is true - it always has the same feel time after time. It's a steakhouse, it's a place for a special event, it's a dressed up Saturday night just because. It really is timeless and you must visit! Thank you to Lenovo and Angus Barn staff for the many great experiences.

Great dining experience. Nice atmosphere. Love the Wild Turkey lounge. Good food, though I feel a bit overpriced. Try to get a tour of the wine cellar.... very cool. Will definitely be back again.

Been going to the Angus Barn most of my adult life at least a few times a year and have always had a great time and great good. I had the opportunity of being there last night on the 54th anniversary of the Barn and as usual it was a full house and a good time was had by all. Last night we had Marianna C as our waitress and she gave us the absolute best service possible she went above and beyond to ensure we were satisfied with everything, I truly hope she is there on our next visit.

I couldnt imagine Raleigh without the Angus Barn, it is truly is a destination everyone should visit.

Thank You Van for all that you do, we appreciate you providing such a place for us in the Raleigh.

The wIt to be seated was pleasant due to a bar that was set up and live music! Happy New Year!

Pretty amazing food and atmosphere. Very "farmhousey" and rustic, essence of Old Raleigh. The food is great and you cannot go wrong with steak or seafood. Expensive but worth the price for the experience and food quality. After eating you can grab a fresh cigar and the wine cellar is awesome.
