We really enjoyed our date night here. We have the best waiter ever. I can't remember his name but he was an oriental guy with a great sense of humor. We had the special where you can split it between two people and it was absolutely phenomenal.

I was disappointed with our visit to the Angus Barn. Your first impression when you walk up to the restaurant is the outside seating. It seemed messy and there was the big tarp thrown in a corner. Needed some attention to detail. You walk in the front door and are greeted by a friendly hostess. We sat down to wait for our guests and saw all these boxes of apples under a table. Kind of looked like a storage room instead of a waiting area. The food was ok. My steak didn't have a lot of flavor. For the price I would of thought it would of had some good steak flavor. Its all about the details.

We came to the Angus Barn for a special dinner and it was like dining on the Titanic. I've never had a meal like it in my life. The atmosphere was stunning, the food was incredible. The steak cut like butter. But what really set it apart was the service. Personal, kind, white glove service. I will come back again and again!

Never disappoints! The food is always great - good portion sizes! Atmosphere is comfortable. Can either be for a fancy dinner date or more casual dinner. I never say "no" for a trip to "the Barn'

Always stellar. Food was great. We caught the last day of Christmas decor, and it was lovely as always. Service was pleasant and unobtrusive. Definitely recommend for a 5 star meal and experience.

The Angus Barn is classic. It's a unique place that you can't get anywhere else. The food is great, it is. It's a great steak house. Is it guaranteed to be your favorite, I don't know, but it's going to be good...every single time.

There's no place that can host your family reunion, business parties, birthdays and anniversaries all under the same roof and not skip a beat or blink an eye. They could do it all and even host a wedding reception and you wouldn't even know it.

The food is prime.
The wine selection is unbelievable. A lot or people aren't aware that AB as the 2nd largest wine cellar on the east coast. It's one of the most touted wine selections in the world. The amount of wine and wine knowledge there is unreal.

And it's great for families. My kids love it here.

It's a classic spot.

Oh, and I can't believe I almost forgot the Meat Locker. Once an actual meat locker, now turned into a full service cigar lounge. And yes, you can get a cigar, have your meal and spend hours hanging out. It's awesome.

Enjoy.

Amazing! AMAZING! AMMMAAZZZINNNGGG! Ask for Aaron Dodge and prepare to make a friend for life. Food outstanding, service spot on and atmosphere just like home but better. Cannot say enough about variety, flavor combinations, freshness and attention to detail.

We had a dinner with 12 guests in one of the Wine Cellar rooms. We had four course meal, which was excellent. The service and atmosphere was top notch. They have international awards for their wine list.

First time here but certainly not the last. Loved the tables set up in the waiting area with the homemade cheese spread and fixings; and who doesn't love a good magician! The restaurant is classic, full of history and beautiful. My chateaubriand was cooked perfectly, spinach salad fresh and they even brought me a homemade pound cake for my upcoming birthday. Can't say enough good things about Angus Barn! Be sure to make a reservation if you'd like a table!

We went for the first time for my husband's birthday tonight. It was amazing!! The place itself is sooo cute from the lights in the rafters to the historic pictures on the walls. My husband enjoyed his prime rib and I enjoyed my salmon! Everything was cooked perfectly def will be returning!

Dont do it! This is far from a good steakhouse. Its really overpriced, the service is lackluster, and they do NOT know how to cook a steak to the correct temperature. However, the turkey lounge is a great place to hangout and have a drink.

Amazing place you need to take a tour of the wine cellar when you are there. Spend about 150$ for two people we loved the food. Our server was excellent too very knowledgeable about the menu. We walked the grounds after dinner too the lake is very pretty. Great date night spot!!!

Being a vegetarian, I had previously never had the desire to visit this restaurant. However, I was super impressed after attending a charity event in which they participated in. I didn t realize how much good work they do for/in the community. Also, I tasted their chocolate chess pie...AMAZING!!

Came to the Angus Barn tonight with family that was visiting from out of town. And, as usual, the food was excellent. What made the night even more special, was our server Rebecca. She was so on top of things and professional. I know the Angus Barn has always hired great staff. But tonight, everything was made extra special when we found out she was from a the same small area my Dad and Aunt are from and knew the same people. Crazy small world. Always 5 stars but tonight was even more.

Had my birthday dinner in the lounge. Service was SLOW and our server was basically an order taker with no personality at all. Odd name can't remember it but she acted like we couldn't leave fast enough. $400 dinner and wine you think she would be jumping for joy. To top it off she messed up the checks. This is an annual tradition for me for YEARS so I still give it 4 stars but if it was a first time it woukd be a 1 for sure. Host and everyone else was great!!

Been here a few times, most recently at the end of April 2019. Our server was very attentive and the restaurant was accommodating to out toddler and infant. We ordered the chateaubriand for two and while the meat was tender, it was inconsistently seasoned and most of the meat was under-seasoned. We also ordered oysters on the half shell, but it seemed like they were sitting in a refrigerator for a bit as they were dried out when we got them.

The other times we went, we ordered different steaks (tomahawk ribeye, dry aged ribeye and espresso crusted filet) and those were better seasoned. Sides have been consistent over our visits.

Because of the price range, we usually go here on special occasions. It's a great place for steaks.

This is one of my favorite places in the triangle. While they are expensive, the quality is great, the employees are top notch, and you never feel like they are nickle and diming you to death.

Loved this place I went recently for the first time and it was just great! I loved the refreshments in the lobby while we waited, we had a great professional server, the dinner pace was nice and slow but steady for us to have time to enjoy the crackers cheese, our apps and out meal. We will definitely be back!

The food is always incredible but its the level of service that really separates the angus barn from all the rest. We've been many times and always leave over satisfied. I just wish 5 stars wasn't the max I could give this establishment. Bravo angus barn and staff

Went here on a business dinner. To be honest after 15 years here it's the only time I go there, business meals. I ordered simple, 7oz filet with a rice pilaf side. I had a glass of the Shiraz which was pleasant enough and enjoyed the before dinner cheese and crackers. For a place that bears the name Angus Barn the flavor of the filet was dissapointing. The steak was ordered Medium Rare and arrived as expected and was cooked correctly. However, there was no flavor to the steak. It was served with some mushrooms and a reduction of some sort. If you have to rely on the garnish and a reduction to bring flavor to a filet then you have done something wrong. Steak is simple and needs nothing more than salt and pepper. This steak, from a place called Angus Barn had no flavor or seasoning. This with a premium on the price is not a good value and was atrue let down. 2 stars for the appetizers and decor but 0 stars for the quality of what should be thier signature dish, a steak....

First let me say that the servers were excellent and deserve five stars. As far as the food, that is another story. When I ask for a medium steak I expect some red in the middle but not completely rare. Also my companions fish was not cooked well and lacked flavor. I know this place gets great reviews but in my opinion it is overrated and overpriced. Maybe my visit was a fluke but for the price I will be taking my business elsewhere.

The food is always good when we come here but I'm going to be honest, it's a little over-hyped by the locals. It's decent food but sometimes it just doesn't match what I get at other steakhouses in the area.

Do it.

I have been wanting to try this restaurant for almost 8 years. My husband wouldn't take me because he felt the food was just okay and did not warrant the price. The opportunity fell into our lap and we finally went tonight. The atmosphere is breathtaking, if you are going to propose I could not think of a better place, your pictures will come out AMAZING. For food I ordered: the 7 oz. Filet combo with shrimp and lobster tail, with a wedge salad and stuffed potatoes (twice baked potatoes). The salad was the best part of the meal, but was served in a wooden bowl which had been chewed up by the dishwasher and I actually wondered if there were going to be any splinters in my salad. Next comes the steak, lobster tail, shrimp, and potatoes. The steak I ordered without the bacon, (I know I'm weird, I do love bacon though!) the steak was cooked a perfect medium rare. However it lacked on seasoning, I actually put a dash of salt on my steak so it would have something, also it was cooked with the bacon on the outside. I don't necessarily like to mix my pork and beef tastes together. The shrimp was over cooked and chewy, the lobster tail was good, both however were over seasoned. (I wish the extra seasoning would have gone on the steak!) My husband's pork ribs were a WHOLE rack which was awesome, but they were extremely dry. The mashed potatoes he said tasted like instant potatoes and were cold. We order dessert and my husband was excited about the blackberry cobbler so he quickly ordered that. What came out was a bowl of blackberries. There was no cobbler (I wish I took a picture). My creme brulee was not cooked the entire way through and was a little runny. The only thing that saved the dinner was our server who was awesome (shout out to J.R.) and the bottle of wine we brought from our house. They also have a twenty dollar corking fee, which is kind of steep when you look at the corking fee at other high end restaurants, like: Perry's, Ruth Chris, Fleming's, etc. This is a good experience to have but I don't see what all the hype is about. We won't ever be back unless we aren't paying the bill. (Our bill was $200 and that is not an expensive night for us.)
