It s an absolutely lovely restaurant that s great for just about any celebration, business meeting or just dinner out. There s lots of seating and multileveled. Up the stairs there s a more intimate eating area with a bar and a piano player that makes any evening more enjoyable. There s plenty of free parking with a valet outside if the need is there.

The experience is beyond what a normal restaurant provides. The ambience here is amazing. From the moment you drive into the parking lot, especially if you're at night, the lights and parking sites are amazing. Enter into the outdoor bar area which is your waiting area and be greeted by very nice appointed waiting area. As you walk to the table look at all the items on the walls, the chandeliers, the accoutrements throughout the building. Very nicely appointed. Food here is pricey but the menu has a lot of variety and offerings. Ordered Ribeye and it was a nice 24 oz cut. Very tasty.

We ate in the main restaurant. The waiter was good, but for the price you are paying you expect more attention. The steak was good, but it ends there. Sides were not impressive, not even good. They tasted and looked like cafeteria sides. Extremely disappointing and extremely overrated/overpriced.

One of the best dining experiences I have ever had. The food might be expensive but it is worth every dollar you spend. They have some of the tenderest and juciest steak I have ever tasted.

Angus Barn is always great. Its an experience more than a meal. Typically more than you can eat and on the more expensive side. You can expect $100-$150 for a couple on average outside of alcoholic beverages but worth it. I've never had a bad experience there.

For the price, the quality just didn t match up. Of course it was crazy busy, but that s no excuse for a place that is always crazy busy. My steak that I ordered medium was rare (no joke). My sweet potato fries were undercooked and not crispy. They definitely do all they can to make up for these things but it didn t leave me feeling very impressed overall.

Service was excellent, Prime rib was good. French onion soup was not hot and cheese hadn't completely melted. Stuffed potato was yucky. Salad were delicious as were the desserts. Girls loved decorating a cake for us. Perfect treat for our anniversary dinner from our children.

Staff is great, kind, helpful
Food (steak) is mediocre.. I've had much better steak at Texas Roadhouse for half the price.. Not sure why everyone gushes about this place..

Not that impressed. Food was average. My three cheese ravioli was cold when I was served. Over priced and the restaurant and staff did not live up to all that I had read about it. Very disappointed!!

Best stake house in US, period! The food is great, and they have one of the best Restorant service I ve seen! Everyone is very helpful to help, share some of the place history, recommended what else you can do in the region! Make sure you have a reservation before going there! They have a wine cellar with more than 1500 different types of wines! If you want to see them just ask at the front desk for a private tour of the place!

Angus Barn is seriously one of my favorite places in Raleigh, and the whole triangle for that matter. The employees are awesome (and treated very well they will tell you), the food is amazing (potato wedges, steak salad, turkey wings, etc.), the drinks are really good, and the atmosphere can't be beat. It is a must visit if you are in town.

Tasty

I've been to Angus Barn a few times over the years, and each time I came away with a different impression of the place.

This time, it was a birthday celebration: mine.

We were seated at a table in the main room, already filling up and noisy mere minutes after opening. A slight disappointment, as my previous seating had us in a quiet, intimate side room.

But no matter; in short order our server introduced herself, took our drink orders, got us Angus Barn's signature crackers and cheese dips, shortly followed by their warm and yeasty rolls with luscious honey butter.

Before we knew it, our appetizers appeared: A generously-sized shrimp cocktail (you will not have enough of their house-made sauce; ask for more.) Lovely warm oysters Rockefeller served, in the shell, on a bed of rock salt.

And then, the entrees.

Of course, with a name like Angus Barn, you'd expect their beef game to be strong -- and it is. But of the three of us, one person had their pesto chicken (a juicy, flavorful cut enhanced -- but not overpowered by -- freshly-made basil pesto), another had their one-pound baked lobster tail (elegant simplicity itself, with plenty of clarified butter for dipping), and I was presented with a freshly-grilled, 14 ounce ribeye...

...that I thought I had not ordered.

Turns out I had meant to order their 22 ounce prime rib, but instead what came out of my mouth was, "I'd like a 22 ounce ribeye, please."

After one of our party confirmed my mistake, I prepared to enjoy the steak before me, but our server wouldn't hear of it. She whisked the errant ribeye away, and was back in two minutes with a gorgeous 22 ounce bone-in prime rib, served rare with au jus and an appealing horseradish sauce.

It. Was. Sublime.

All too soon the three of us were left staring at our empty plates. As if on cue, our server displayed a tray filled with their after-dinner treats.

One of us chose the New York cheesecake -- a perfect balance of lightness and richness that is often lacking from other restaurants' renditions. Another enjoyed the pecan pie -- warm and delicious, with a scoop of vanilla ice cream for contrast.

I, on the other hand, decided to explore their selection of single malt Scotch. My selection (an 18 year old Glenmorangie, neat) arrived quickly, and was a delight. Their pour seemed a bit miserly to my eyes, but as I'd already been a bit of a problem regarding my entree, it seemed best to let it go.

And then it was time to head home.

All in all, it was an enjoyable experience.

Stellar. My Mom took me here as a treat and we shared the massive 42 oz. Tomahawk Ribeye. Perfectly seasoned and served medium rare as ordered. The creamed spinach was to die for as well. We were shown the desert cart but opted out because we were so full! Planning on coming back sometime soon and Mom said she would bring my little bro next time. I can't wait. By the way Daniel is an awesome waiter.

Angus Barn was decorated beautifully and I wanted my friend to see it as well as have dinner. Unfortunately we were unable to order from the menu on Thanksgiving. The food is always delicious.

Steak was less than great maybe low Choice at best. Definitely paid for the atmosphere. Turkey Lounge has character, but the dining room felt more like German Beer hall than a $50 steak restaurant

Wait staff rudely reminded me of their no hat policy in the middle of helping my elderly father to his table. Food was excellent as usual, but I felt that in the middle of me physically escorting him to his table and the tone were very inappropriate.

Very nice restaurant with a great atmosphere. It is casual to dress up clothing. We had the chiefs special, tenderloin kabob with a lobster bearnaise sauce and asparagus it tasted great and was cooked perfectly. But I expected better cuts of meat for $46. Mine had several bits of grisel making the steak tough. We were there to celebrate our 32 wedding anniversary and the restaurant gave us a pound cake for desert.

Celebrating my daughters birthday. The customer service and decorations were amazing. Most of the food was good. I think they mixed up some of the steaks (I was given med when I asked for med well, another guest was given med well when she asked for med). They were quick and willing to correct any issues. Also who knew that they would bring you a wrap if you became chilly! The overall experience was great.

I had the pleasure of going to this place for a wedding. It's an absolutely beautiful place and the staff seemed to be very helpful and accommodating the entire time. The hors d'oeuvres were delicious! The meal was great! The only thing I would have to say is, although the steak was oh so tender, it was lacking a great flavor. But altogether, the meal was great! I would recommend this place to others.

Was extremely disappointed in the service at this restaurant. The waitress we had was very slow. She took an exorbitant amount of time to even ask if we were ready to order. She would make us move to refill our drinks. She took our plates before we were finished. She brought our food out and it was cold. I ordered the prime rib and lobster tail, and was not brought the prime rib when the food came. Overall, the food was not worth what we paid and the service was lacking to say the least. We wanted a nice dinner and did not get what we set out to have. We will not be returning and will try to deter others from having a bad experience as well. I am giving two stars instead of one because the decor and atmosphere was on par with what I expected

Definitely the best eating experience I've ever had. They really will take care of you and not rush you out the door. I was privileged to come here with my pastor, National Recording Artist Prophet Calvin Suggs, and the entire church family More

First time visit, won't be my last. The entire experience was incredible. Service staff was professional, friendly, and overall went above and beyond to make my fiance and my experience perfect. Shoutout to Jillian, our server, Chris, front desk host, and Candea, lounge host/server assistant (sorry if I spelled that wrong or got position wrong). As a former resturant supervisor I can say the pacing of the meal was appropriately casual. I noticed a lot of staff going out of their way to assist one another, which goes to show the level of teamwork required to keep this operation running so smoothly. Additionally, I respect the POW/MIA memorial, as a veteran myself you never see these outside of military events. When I mentioned this, considering it was veterans day when we went, I was presented with a complimentary bottle of the exact wine I had ordered a glass of earlier! AND THEN we were presented with complimentary pound cake and champagne to celebrate our recent engagement! I also have to mention the beautiful and extravagant Christmas decor.

Angus Barn, you have reset my standards for dining out. If I could award more stars I would. Thank you for an incredible experience.

Fabulous food and service! Highly recommend! You get a platter of cheese, crackers, relish, peppers etc. as an appetizer. They have a fabulous selection of steaks. My husband and I had the chateaubriand for 2 and it was delicious. Their sawdust pie is great too!

This is by far, my favorite steak restaurant. Every time I've been here the food has been delicious and the staff have treated me exceptionally well. I highly recommend the Angus Barn.

Cheese & crackers tasted exactly like the handi-snacks with the red stick. Extremely loud, table next to us was loudly talking about the strip club they were going to next. We never complained about anything but a manager asked another table near us to please be quieter. My husband couldn t hear the waitress due to the volume. Salad was a salad, bread was average, baked potato was a baked potato, nothing special. Steak was extremely tender so a huge plus there. Though I m so sorry to say, not much flavor. Ribs were tender but also not flavorful. We are foodies & I would not put this in the class of Morton s, Ruth s Chris, Perry s etc. I just battled & beat cancer & it was our 29th anniversary so I was very disappointed. Pretty place, that was it for me. Didn t like the loud atmosphere. Service was excellent. It s a barn so I should have known but it came recommended.

You want a good steak!?! You want it in an atmosphere that is unique and fun! This is the place. Special occasion, date night, prom night, meeting friends, whatever. The Angus Barn is Raleighs unique take on a steak house. Valet parking, a bar outside (if you are waiting on your friends), a cigar bar, a wine cellar, the gun room, the wild turkey bar. You will have to visit a few times to see everything they have to offer. The food is great! Try the crab dip and leave room for dessert!
