Great atmosphere, awesome building in general. The staff was great! The prime rib was delicious but I have to say that I have had a few better. Everyone in my group absolutely loved their dishes as well. Drinks were also very good.

This place is absolutely amazing. We started the night out on the back meat locker patio. The walk through the kitchen was awesome. The service is phenomenal and the food is delicious. The chef also will go up and beyond to make sure the table is happy. I requested a mushroom gravy with my ground steak and they didn't even blink an eye to fulfill the request. Please keep in mind that you will spend a good amount of money for the evening. Just consider it an adventure.

For all the hoopla...it's oddly mediocre in food taste and quality...not to mention the waiter was surprised we hadn't been there even though we have lived in the area for years...only for the food to be absolutely lackluster. Meh...

Fantastic Food! The really relaxed atmosphere shouldn't mix with the top shelf steakhouse menu, but it really works. With multiple bars and a large dining area it was packed on a Wednesday night, I would recommend reservations.

Had a dinner meeting here. It is a nice welcome to the area as the place is full of history and ambiance. The meal and service was solid and typical for what you would expect for a steak house. The cheese spread on the table is a nice touch that goes well with whatever you are drinking. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a solid steak and a unique dining experience.

Angus Barn... Some will tell you it's overrated, but it's not. Southern hospitality on display at every turn. The food is amazing, and the service is on point. I'd recommend it for any steak lover, or otherwise.

My family went tonight to celebrate my husband's birthday. The food was amazing and the service was excellent. We have never had a better experience anywhere else. Thank you Angus Barn for a great memorable evening.

I've been to the Angus Barn a couple of times. My first steak there was delicious, as well as every steak I've had since then. The steak is only part of the price, though. People are complaining about long wait times, but the Angus Barn is an experience! We usually go later in the night, and while waiting for our reservation we sit and have a glass of wine -- maybe help ourselves to the homemade crackers and cheese with olives and other great appetizers. Then when we are called, we enjoy dinner with great, professional, fast service. Their wine list is extensive, if your food is cold (which it shouldn't be) SEND IT BACK! Don't just complain about it on the internet. Mistakes happen. However, last time a mistake happened at the Angus Barn, our dessert was comped. All you have to do is ask.

Under cooked then over cooked our steak. Expected a relaxing dining experience but got more of a sports bar environment for what was supposed to be a dinner to celebrate a birthday and a raise.

My goodness I wish I could eat here it more often. Easily my favorite place to eat in Raleigh. The food is amazing, but somehow their customer service is even better. I could make a meal off their cheese and crackers. Usually I go with the bacon wrapped fillet and stuffed baked potato. So good. And for dessert the pound cake is very good, but the chocolate chess pie is the best. But my favorite thing about the Angus Barn is that is a very nice restaurant with amazing food without the pretentiousness of most nicer restaurants. They genuinely act like they are glad you are there.

Well it was my 1st time here and I got to celebrate my birthday and they got me a delicious cake all myself!! It was amazing experience the little tour our waiter gave us. I will definitely be back for more!!

Gorgeous inside! Reclaimed wood eveywhere and unique antiques all over. One of the waiting areas had a huge collection of antique guns displayed. Skip breakfast and lunch! A large spread of complimentary cheese spreads, crackers, crudite, olives and more available while you wait. Then there are rolls and you get a soup or salad AND side with entree! Large portion of prime rib even though I got the smallest cut! My other half ordered the medium size prime rib and it filled the plate! Desert tray to tempt even the fullest belly. Word is all deserts HOMEMADE! Overall this is not an inexpensive meal but the experience is worth it for something memorable, special occasions, etc! Even the outside waiting was unique with comfortable chairs and sofas. The bathroom is even "done up" fancy.

Food was amazing. Staff was great. I gave it four stars because of the amount of dust I noticed everywhere. The place needs a good cleaning. At this price point there is no excuse for being dirty.

Excellent service and very good food. Will was our server and he was great. It had been years since I had gone to Angus Barn and they did not disappoint. Thanks for making my experience a memorable one.

The atmosphere is pretty good but the food and drinks are mediocre, at best. The prices are high for the quality. But the food IS better than say, Texas Roadhouse or Longhorn Steakhouse.

This place has a great draw with its look and feel. Like other reviews mention, it's massive. However, the food is not great. The French onion soup was bland, and my partner's prime rib was still hanging on for life (she ordered it medium rare, it was too rare). My T-Bone had some high points, but wasn't great all the way through like I expected. Our wait after the dessert for the check was painfully long. It's a cool experience, but the steaks aren't enough to write home about at all.

As always, excellent on all levels. Great ambiance, stupendous food, and fast-friendly-efficient staff. Also enjoyed my quick trip to the in-house store after dinner. Bathrooms roomy and clean. Great experience at a wonderful restaurant.

I rarely eat at steakhouses due to the fact that their mostly mediocre. The Angus Barn is hands down the best steakhouse in the country and their food is cooked to perfection. I don t think I ve ever made or had a steak better than the one I received last night. The flavor was perfect, and it was so tender you didn t even need to use a knife. It also came out hot on a skillet which helped keep it the right temperature during the whole meal. Hats off Angus Barn for a terrific meal.

Also, our waiter Payton did an outstanding job!!! When you go there, please ask to sit in his section as you will not regret it. Keep up the good work Payton.

I just had my first Angus Barn experience. I had a delicious meal and enjoyed everything from the generous appetizers to the desert. The service from all the staff was extremely attentive and courteous. All in all a great dining experience. I was tempted to rate four stars because of the expense, but then realized that 1) that was what I expected going in, so it was no surprise, and 2) you get what you pay for. Although I'm frugal by nature, I was not disappointed for the money I spent.

Great service. They, accommodated me with excellent vegan options. Obviously this wouldn't be my first choice as a vegan but I went on a business trip. I was very relieved and happy with the accommodations they had.

Our favorite place to go for steak or drinks. I got the shrimp and lobster and it was absolutely amazing! Always such a nice experience when we go. It s holiday season now and the restaurant is beautifully decorated! My daughter loves looking around and going to the cheese and olive station by herself! Can t wait to go back.

Angus Barn is a good quality steakhouse. I was impressed by the amount of products that were made in house. The $97 tomahawk steak is perfect for 2 people and includes 2 salads or soups and 2 sides with the steak. Beer and wine selections are ample and the staff is great with pairing suggestions. All the deserts were homemade and very high quality. Definitely a great night out and somewhere I would celebrate at again. Expect to spend around 3 hours here for a full meal.
