Great service. Best Food, wonderful place for special occations
This was our first time here; we drove an hour and a half to get here and it is worth it. Our waiter, Daniel G, was awesome. We didn't have to wait for anything and he was very informative. He made our first visit the best. The food was amazing. I loved the French onion soup, the asparagus was seasoned to perfection.
We ordered the Tomahawk Steak. It was the best, it was so tender and juicy. Worth every penny.
The homemade ice cream and chocolate chess pie was the best for dessert.
My birthday cake is a homemade pound cake with whipped cream, fresh strawberry and raspberry sauce around the sides.
The pavilion area is beautiful with a small lake and water fountain.
We will definitely come back. Thank you for making our first time the best.
Everyone should experience a good steak at Angus Barn at least once or more. Don't miss out on their chocolate chess pie and blackberry cobler. You will not be disappointed. A Raleigh icon.
We recently got married at the Angus Barn and had an intimate dinner in the wine cellar and it was fabulous! The staff was incredibly accommodating and made our day very special. We even went back for dinner the following night and were gifted a champagne toast and some of their famous cheese and crackers. We love the Angus Barn for their high quality and consistent service we receive every time we visit.
My children and grandchildren took me there to celebrate my 70th birthday. I had heard about Angus Barn for years --- it did not disappoint --- delicious!!
This place is all about good, southern atmosphere. The food was great, but the atmosphere made it outstanding.
Good steak, good atmosphere, a bit expensive. Would return
Enjoyed an awesome meal and dining experience. As usual the food and service were top-notch. I never can say enough good things about the staff at this 5 star restaurant. After many appetizers and a large meal and dessert, we were given a private tour of the wine cellar which is amazing. Don't miss out on dining here. The Christmas decorations are worth seeing if nothing else.
Amazing - I felt totally pampered - crab cakes were amazing!
the food is amazing! The steaks here are juicy and flavorful! Also i like that they have a little station for the kids like little toys and such.
Amazing place if you like wine, it is THE place! Good food, not great but worth a visit!
Angus Barn is very overrated, I'm not sure where they get all the hype from. I'm not upset it's just I can't justify the price tag for the quality of the food. The atmosphere is good but the food was really mediocre at best. The service was pretty good, but I'm not sold on the food for the price they want.
One of the best steakhouses in Raleigh! Definitely recommend the beef! Any selection is great! Make sure to take the tour when you get there early. They have an excellent wine selection! Love it
It is worth the pandemic to come eat a 22 oz prime rib eye as your possible last meal. Crab cakes are just that, fresh crab with very little bread, and the chess cake is delicious and has a surprising crunch. They appreciate our military and so we will be back. Thank you Greg Wal and Angus Barn for our great experience for our 5 year anniversary.
Not what we expected at all. Thanksgiving meal was the worst we've ever had.
Well they took good care of me and my friends, we had a bottle of wine few drinks and dinner, they mistakenly undercooked my steak, but as soon as they went to fix it the server immediately told me that dessert will be complimentary to our table since they had to fix my steak I've never been served like that before and their service was awesome throughout the night they checked up on us and refilled our drinks before they got low. They truly deserve 5 stars... which sold me to truly come back is that my friend is in the service and one of the host brought her a bottle of wine as a thank you for serving our country. Something like that means a lot to the individual and the resturant gains popular reputation, it truly is the little things that matter the most and they make sure you are completely satisfied
Best service I've ever had at a restaurant. Great food too
Very expensive, but a great place to go for a special date night!
The restaurant is adorably festive for the holidays, complete with elves and cookies. However the food lacked the wow factor. But absolutely worth of visit during the Christmas season!
I just can't get my arms around why the Angus Barn is so highly regarded. We've been there many times over the years for both business and personal events. The food is average (stale crackers, reheated potatoes), often cold (as was my meal last week), the staff not very attentive. For the money I expect impeccable service, high quality food and an elegant atmosphere. Instead we usually get mediocre food, average service and zero elegance. YMMV.
So crowded and pricey. The food quality does not reflect in the price. Always a wait, even with a reservation. Always too much money for what you get in return. Steaks are overrated. I've had two of their very expensive steaks and I won't buy another. The only time I come here is for a group event or someone else is buying. Way better places in town for less money.
Delicious family meal with juicy steak, crunchy sweet potato fries and of course the famous cheese and crackers!
Such an amazing environment. The staff and food are top notch.
This is one of the best restaurants we have ever been to. It is a dining experience. The food and the service are great. Everyone who works there makes you feel special from the minute you get to the front door. It is a very special place
Great atmosphere. Love one of a kind restaurants. Nice outdoor sitting area with bar. Crab cakes were amazing. Filet was just average, stick to seafood if coming here.
I ate their 10 times in 2 weeks it's one of my favorite restaurants in the world you feel like you're in Disney And the place is amazing job .. has so much energy and the meat locker Room is a great hangout to smoke cigars after dinner
It may appear pricey, but it only appears that way. You will not be disappointed. Large quantities of very high quality food, impeccable service, and a lively atmosphere.
Food was very good. Tomahawk ribeye was listed at 40 ounces but I think some of the bone contributed to that weight. I think that was misleading. My waiter needed to be a bit more attentive. Overall experience was good.
We were visiting from out of town and were told we must go here. It was a great experience (food was delicious), but we did have a birthday in the party that was notated on our reservation plus we reminded them at check-in when we got there, and they still forgot. We had to tell our server after the checks were already brought. It wouldn't have been a huge deal but we were told of the amazing pound cake that they gave for birthdays. In the end, we did eventually get it and it was delicious!
Delicious food served in a beautiful facility. Wonderful service.
Great place. Had the 14 oz prime rib with a side salad and mash potatoes. Expect to pay quite a bit for the food here. $$$$
Took my husband here for Father's Day dinner. Had a fantastic evening. We had the chateaubriand for two. Cooked perfectly! Love the crackers and cheese to nibble on while waiting. Salads were crisp and tasty. We were seated in the back section beside the windows overlooking Glenwood Avenue. They really do need to be cleaned of dirt and cobwebs. Our table was sitting at an angle which was a little disconcerting. A+ for food. B- for facility. A for waitstaff, however we had to really prod the dessert menu out of our waiter. The Key Lime pie was delicious!
Tastefully decorated during the Christmas season. Our waiter Alex Falank is top-notch. He is an asset to Angus Barn's wait staff and is one of the best waiters we have had the pleasure of having out to ear. The food is also fantastic. The tomahawk steak and its dry-rub are make for a great tasting Ribeye.
Never once had a bad experience and I've been going there for years. Food is exquisite, service is unparalleled, and the atmosphere is delightful. The wine cellar is amazing and I would definitely recommend a tour!
As always the staff was very helpful. Food was amazing, as per usual. Expensive, but worth the $$$.
Please keep this type of place in business instead of national chains raiding and proliferating. Great meal, wait staff is very professional.
Amazing ... my best 65th Birthday celebration ever!!! Excellent service ... delicious food.... awesome atmosphere... very special evening with my Army son Kevin and daughter in law Danelle!Nov 21,2017
Feels like an overpriced Cracker Barrel. I wasn t happy with my order, but I didn t get steak and that s my bad.
Great food cooked to perfection. Great atmosphere, wonderful staff and awesome settings.
Angus Barn is one of the best steakhouses in the area. If you beyond starving, we highly recommend the Blazin' Black-n- Bleu Burger!
The staff are really well trained, the atmosphere is great, but the food is relatively lackluster. For a steakhouse, I found the steak to be overdone, regardless of request. The quality of meat was good, but the manner in which it was cooked demonstrated lack in skill at the grill. For the price you pay, you hope for some finess with the preparation that could really bring flavor.
Angus barn is an iconic place in Raleigh. Despite its history, its service and food have gone down over time. My experience here the last two times has not been great. Food not particularly good and the service has been slow and not great. I hate to say this because the atmosphere is great and I just want it to be a terrific restaurant.
Wonderful experience here. Great for a date night or big parties.
Always top shelf. Sit out front in the meat locker area. Cool atmosphere even if 70 is right there
What a unique way to spend Thanksgiving! The Pavilions were just beautiful and the food was impeccable! The service provided by each staff member was out of this world!
We had a wonderful anniversary dinner here, our first visit to Angus Barn. It is an iconic restaurant and did not disappoint. The food and service were excellent, and although it was crowded, was not noisy. We did the tour after dinner and that was very interesting and worth while. Expensive, but great for a special occasion.
Wonderful food and service. You are treated as welcomed guests.
Beautiful restaurant, seems small from the outside but huge and beautiful on the inside. My steak was beautifully cooked, my favorite of the night was the mushroom side dish I had. There was a magician there that night performing at each table, very entertaining, overall wonderful dinner experience.
Great food, amazing service, and laid back atmosphere. I highly recommend this gem but be sure to have reservations to avoid long wait times.
Great dining experience! Greg, our waiter, was very attentive.
When me and my husband went to Angus barn I did not like how they were looking at us because we were black so we won't be coming their anymore . they made us feel unwelcome and they were very racist we could feel it as we were getting out of our car coming in. Then the waitress was nasty to us when she told us that we would have wait for 4 hours and then she made it seem like we were causing a problem because her manager came and ask what's the problem so we just left.
Delicious food and great service! Will definitely be returning!
Business dinner. I had the beef skewer. It was just ok, peppers not cooked. French onion soup was pretty good. Noisy.
I give this place 5 stars for its charm. The beef was very good. Most of us had filet mignon and they were all cooked perfectly. I could do without the bacon wrap as it makes the steak has less crust. The servers were excellent, they definitely deserve 5 stars. Went out of their way to bring birthday celebration pound cake and were very attentive. Very rustic building, barn like structure. Nice for special events and work outings. Plates are around 40$+++.
The holidays decorations were as good as the food it is served here. I loved the food, service and atmosphere this restaurant provides
Absolute top-shelf place. It manages to be very high end without being the least bit pretentious. The food was remarkable, and although I didn't have any, the wine list was impressive. After the meal we did a full tour with our waitress who was very knowledgeable and pleasant. An overall great experience, but bring your wallet for sure!
Service was excellent (Michael). Food was good. Christmas decorations were beautiful. Had a wonderful evening!
Amazing night, great food and atmosphere and the Christmas decorations are beautiful!
A North Carolina institution. Classic steaks and seafood and a deep wine and spirits list. Great for business, family or date night. Impressive wine cellar and then enjoy cigars by the fire pit- a genuine one of a kind destination.
A favorite of mine for 45 years. What can say? Go!
If you have a group get the wine cellar. You'll have a totally memorable evening
Great food, great atmosphere and great service. Just make sure you reserve ahead of time
My boyfriend took me here for my birthday. The food is amazing
Amazing. Fantastic food and wine. The service was awesome!
