My favorite local steak house. Fine dining without being pretentious.

Great Steak, Great Atmosphere, Definitely will return

Food was average at best. I think its a stretch to call this an upscale steakhouse. It defiantly doesn't have an upscale vibe and the food doesn't represent upscale. Its a very large property with a lot of interesting enclaves. The best part is the cigar lounge out back and the outdoor bar area. Ill go back for a drink and a stick but not necessary for the food. Many more legitimate upscale steakhouse options in Raleigh.

Great service, atmosphere and food at high prices. This place really is a very eclectic environment that must be explored. There are many rooms and areas to find and this place seems like it goes on forever. It is probably easy to get lost as it's so massive. Everything we had from menu was outstanding even at the high prices. Expect to pay heavily for drinks, wine and the food. They do also have an amazing wine list and sommelier services available if needed. Highly recommended for a special event.

I LOVE this place!!! The restaurant and the Turkey Lounge are awesome places to celebrate any special or regular day. All the employees make you feel like part of their family and all of them will go above and beyond to make your experience the best. Thank you Chris for making our anniversary a very special one!! You have customers for life!!!!

If you love beef than you must go here ! Try the Chocolate Chess Pie!!!

I ve never understood the attraction of the Angus Barn and find it to be over-rated. You get fine dining prices without the fine dining experience. The restaurant tends to be crowded and noisy, so avoid weekends and holidays. The last time I was there one member of our party sent her steak back twice and still couldn t get it cooked to her satisfaction. There are better choices.

Be prepared to wait but it is worth it. Expensive but nice for a special occasion.

Nothing negative to say. This is a gem within Raleigh. The food, the atmosphere, the service is something that must be experienced by anyone coming to Raleigh. Ask for a tour of their award-winning wine cellar.

The place is very nice, but when you go to a restaurant expect to enjoy an excellent meal and even more if it is a place like this that you pay more than $ 200 for 3 people which is EXPENSIVE !! To make a comparison you find better meats in TGI Fridays that here ... we also wait more than 1 hour for our dinner, I DO NOT RECOMMEND IT !!

Fantastic! We went for a promotion and birthday dinner with friends and family and this place did not disappoint. The service (Jamie) was wonderfully attentive and great with the 3 kids in our group. The meal was amazing to say the least. None of the portions are meager and I was pleased with the filet. The kids get ice cream for dessert and are allowed to go back in the kitchen and add their own toppings; they all left with huge smiles on their faces and the kitchen staff was so great with all of them. I am already planning my next trip back :-)

Angus Barn has always been a favorite of mine. The ambience of the place is casual, comfortable, and inviting....the food is GREAT, too!

What can I say positively about Angus Barn that isn't already known? It is a wonderful dining experience. From the courteous and professional staff to the generosity of the restaurant overall. We have experienced the complimentary poundcake for a family member's birthday before but what made it even more special was that our server brought our son back to the kitchen to make choices about what should go on the cake and then he was able to bring it out himself to us. Very nice! Always a pleasure to dine here.

The food and service are top notch. The meat is cooked to perfection. My personal favorite is their prime rib. Even the smallest one is large enough for next day leftovers. They have their rooms nicely set up for social distancing. Oh, and their drinks are excellent. There is also an extensive wine list. For a special occasion, this is the place to go. It never disappoints.

Good food but not anything very different from other less expensive steak houses. Felt a little rushed but it was Valentine's day.

Captain's Table in the wine cellar is such an incredible dining experience. Every dish prepared here is of the highest quality and the restaurant itself is beautiful!

Ordered the ribeye and broccoli. Ribeye was good, not great. I expect excellent for a 50 dollar steak. It wasn't seasoned properly ( I know everyone thinks this is pure opinion and taste, but had you had a bite of my steak, you'd agree ) and was past the ordered temperature. 3 other guests at the table also had overcooked steaks. The broccoli side ( remember that these sides are pricey ) was undercooked. At a restaurant that is not 70 dollars plus per person, these would be ridiculous comments. At a restaurant that hangs its hat on the quality and preparation of its meats, it's a real issue. Not great. Will choose a different steakhouse next time. We'll try the Barn again eventually... she's been great in the past, but she missed the mark this time around.

Visited for the first time on 9/23/2018, and the food and service was excellent!! Our server, Crystal B., was very knowledgeable on the all menu items and made sure our food was served hot and in a timely manner. She also checked on us several times throughout our visit to see if we needed anything. Another person I must mention is Will, the valet parking attendant. Very pleasant, handled our vehicle with care, and had it waiting at the front door as soon as we exited the restaurant. Food and service were both excellent, and we will visit again and recommend Angus Barn to others.

Delicious food! We had the Crab Cakes, New York strip, & Creme brulee all of which was amazing! This is a pricey place however (almost $300 for 3 adults) so be prepared to spend. Loved that they bring all desserts out on a cart for you to see and order

Wasn't all that impressed. Steaks were quite expensive but full of fat.

The service here is the very best! The food however is ok. The spinach salad is amazing and so is the shrimp but the steak is not at all impressive. Overpriced if you ask me

This place pampers your every need, the food is something that you will talk about for weeks. The price is above average but i think you will leave happy.

This place had a very wonderful atmosphere with amazing service and great food. I definitely recommend, especially for birthdays because they give you a complimentary pound cake.

Christmas decorations were absolutely stunning, however the food and the service were 1 star at best.

Our waitress barely spoke to us. She didn t say a word when she placed our water and cheese on the table and not once did she let us finish speaking to her before walking away from the table. Not once did she look us in the eyes or act personal or friendly. She made the experience extremely boring and awkward. Not at all what it should be at such a famous restaurant.

Our food was close to terrible. They did comp our entrees, (both ravioli served with each sauce) but it was all so lackluster just wanted to get out of there. Best thing we ate was the butter on the bread. We got chess pie to-go, and it was disgustingly freezer burned. Absolutely not worth it.

Thoroughly enjoyed our time spent at this rustic restaurant...our server, Conor, was most attentive and helpful in choosing menu items...food was supremely delicious and served at correct temperature...what a great piece of local history Angus Barn is...sit back, relax, and enjoy!

Regular at Angus first time at Turkey Lounge, and it was amazing! Jill H was the best waitress I've had at The Barn. Not only incredibly attentive, but also spot on recommendations with smiles at every turn. You would never know she had a million other guests and tables. My 4 year old son Charlie wanted to go here ever since he could talk (since we drive past it ever day) finally tonight we went and because of Jill our night was perfect and amazing! Big thanks to Jill and the Angus Barn for a perfect night!

Great staff, great food, awesome atmosphere. Steak was cooked to perfection. Unfortunately the prices makes this a once a year date night for me and my wife. I recommend going during the holiday season as it is lite up and decorated.

I've been to the Angus barn several times and couldn't quite figure out what all of the fuss was about until I visited the Cellar. A trip through the kitchen and we descended into the wine cellar. Excellent wine tasting and dinner with a top level service experience. Can't wait to check out some of their themed dinners and cooking classes.

I ve gotta be honest, this was a bit disappointing. I knew what to expect when I walked in the door and we just didn t get it. This is THE Angus Barn for crying out loud. A North Carolina legend. But tonight was off. The food was good but not great, and the service was just lacking in attention to detail. My wife enjoyed it more than I did, and I know I m a much tougher critic than she is on restaurants. But when I spend $200 on a meal for 2 that doesn t include alcohol, it better be perfect! And this just wasn t....

What can I say except great atmosphere and world class accomidations and food. This was my first experience with Angus Barn but I can see not the last.

Over priced!!!!! I have eaten better Aged Angus Beef, and spent way less. All I heard or ever hear is you need to go here for steak. Wrong wrong wrong. I only eat beef. I hate chicken or any other poultry and fish isn't in my menu what so ever and I don't care for pork either. I hate steak sauce or anything else. A good steak prepared correctly does not require any type of drizzle over it. If I use steak sauce it's because the steak did not speak for itself alone. Let's just say eating here required A1 sauce on the meat. Such a tragedy. I recommend searching for your Aged Angus cuts elsewhere. Good Angus Beef isn't hard to find plus it won't empty your wallet.

We had great service at the Angus Barn. You can come dressed casual and be treated to a truly 5 star experience. The ribeye, Oscar style was delicious. Make sure you save room for dessert, the chocolate cheesecake with an Oreo crust was to die for.

Absolutely the Best Restaurant in North Carolina Period.

Great looking place but definatly not worth the money for the food the cook burnt the out side of a good piece of filet, Food is bland but the scenery is Awsome. Wouldn't go back for food though.

We celebrated our 35th anniversary on a Monday night with COVID 19 restrictions in place. We had a wonderful, delicious dinner and got a free small cake as dessert that we took home. We love the atmosphere at the Angus Barn and this is our favorite place to go for dinner for special occasions.

I am very disappointed with this place!! I would say it has always been the best experience in town.. very poor service and poor product.. my husbands prime rib was over cooked and very fatty.. server was not great and the overall whole staff was not good.. probably won t return..

Never disappointed. The staff treat you like you are the only one there. John was our server and he was excellent.

Normally we have had a nice experience here. But on our visit tonight, the service was poor. Our server, Shelby, failed to bring us the food as we had ordered it. Failed to bring out any of the table bread/crackers that normally come. Our drinks were often empty.

At the end of our night the bill was 197.00 for 2 people. I expect better for this kind of money.

It was amazing about a year ago. My boyfriend and I came back again this year to celebrate. And we were extremely disappointed with the new quality of the angus barn. I expect this type of quality of food from long horn. The service was good however so giving it two stars for that.

Steak was nothing special, way overpriced. I was told to remove my hat. If I'm not wearing a suit, I shouldn't need to remove my hat. My coworker had the ribs (yes, at a steakhouse) and said the ribs he had the previous night were far superior in quality and taste at a much cheaper restaurant. If you have money or want people to think you have money, eat here. If you enjoy quality food and a nice casual environment, eat elsewhere.

We went to Angus Barn for valentines day this past year and weren't let down. The steaks were perfect, dessert was fantastic and the servers were very friendly and self aware. Top 5 meals in all of Raleigh!
