Great location if you are attending a convention at Donald E. Stevens Convention Center. The room was very spacious and looked good. The bathroom in the lobby was very dirty, I understand that there was a lot of people using it because of the convention but they should have someone clean it more regularly.

We try to book a room here annually for a convention. The rooms are spacious, clean, and quiet. The staff are friendly and helpful even during the chaos of a con. I noticed an overcharge on my bill and it was addressed with a quick phone call with no problems. I look forward to our stay next year!

Typical airport hotel chain. Airline canceled a bunch of flights, hotel reservations were hard to come by. Front desk staff was super sweet and made sure that we had a portable crib in our room by the time we got upstairs. I asked about room service as we needed some food and drinks and our child needed milk. I was told by the front desk to go across the lobby to the restaurant but that I had to be quick because they closed in 10 minutes. I immediately went to the restaurant and stood at the bar area waiting for help. 2 employees were working and both made eye contact with me but didn't acknowledge me for several minutes. By the time someone came to assist me they had an attitude to told me that I only had two minutes to order. I was apologetic and tried to explain that the airline canceled our flight and we were just trying to rest for a few hours before an early morning flight and that we just needed some quick food and drinks, especially milk for my 2 year old. The employee continued to be condescending so I just asked for milk for my son and decided to go to the vending machine for everyone else. I got a small coffee cup of milk and was charged $5. We went up to our room and got the portable crib set up only to discover that the milk didn't taste right but at this point the restaurant was closed. The room was average. Had some wear and tear. Doors kept sticking and made loud noises when you opened and closed them which were loud enough to wake other people in our room up. There were other hotel guests running up and down our hall and knocking on doors for no reason. It was a sort of disappointing situation for what I paid for.

Good room and breakfast. But disappointed that the pool was not functional as that was the main reason the kids were excited to go. Some notification that the pool is out of commission on the web site would have saved much heartbreak!

I like ES, and am a Hilton guy, so I am a bit biased. This one is aging a bit, and showing a little ware, but overall the price is good, the happy hour is awesome, and the salsa on the breakfast bar is nice and Hot.

First time to Chicago. Glad we found this place. We needed a place to stay overnight before heading to a wedding nearby. I read close to 30 reviews of hotels near the airport. The hotel needed to have a free shuttle from the airport, free awesome breakfast and nice room. This hotel met all criteria, plus I have never been lead wrong with an embassy suite.
Since I had never been to Chicago, I wanted to have a shuttle take me to the hotel since we got in at midnight. Then take me back to the airport the next morning to get my rental car. It worked out perfectly. Now to the hotel. We got in at 12:45am. It took 5 minutes to get someone to come to the lobby and check us and another couple in. The lobby smelled musty which I just attributed the age of the building. The rooms were clean and very large. I always love rooms with a separate living area. Nice to spread out. Bed was very very comfortable. Bathroom was clean, just showed signs of wear.
Breakfast at Embassy Suites are the best. Fresh made to order omletts, diced potatoes, bacon, sausage, pancakes or waffles. Coffee and juice, yogurt, fresh fruit. I didn't want to have to find a restaurant to go to in the morning so we always try to find hotels with complementary breakfast full of gluten free protein options.
The shuttle left every 30 minutes so we were quickly able to get back to the airport to pick up our rental car. Definitely would go back for a quick trip. Best part I used my 4000 points to get the room for free. Great option for families!

I've stayed here several times, and generally it's been great. A few items lately have made me change my mind a bit, but I'll leave it to you to sort out if they'd impact your enjoyment of the hotel..

1. Manager's reception - This used to be in the main, airy, atrium area, with plenty of space and a pleasant atmosphere. They've since moved it to the restaurant downstairs (likely to save labor costs a bit) and it's far less comfortable. The line for drinks is insanely long, and you're now in a very cramped and windowless room. Not a fan of this switch.

2. Equipment / Mechanicals - Every time I've stayed here in the past few years, at least one of their elevators has been non-functional. Sometimes two of the three are down! Not great if staying for a convention or something, as the waits to get to your room are insane. Also, about 40% of the time I've stayed here we've been awakened in the middle of the night by a firm alarm. No joke. It's happened so often that we joke about it with our friends. It's typically just someone smoking in a stairwell or something, but c'mon guys. The whole place evacuates in the middle of the night and it SUCKS.

3. If you're using the fold-out bed in the front room of your suite, don't expect to get much restful sleep. There is this terrible frosted glass on the doors to your room that let in an absurd amount of light.. We were piling pillows and chairs up in front of the door just so it would be reasonably dark for people sleeping in the front room. Can we just get some shades added to these doors or something? Cheap fix, yeah?

I always enjoy staying at the Embassy Suites. Big, clean, comfortable rooms. Decent dinner menu. Friendly workers. Parking here is tricky, city owned garage with 0 signage on hot to actually get to the hotel. Typical big city airport hotel. Not much going on outside the hotel.

Very impressive breakfast area, and breakfast food quality is far above average. The rooms are large and nice, if not dated. Where the Embassy Suites loses stars is breakfast and coffee. Breakfast is served ONLY between 6 and 9am. There is NO coffee served after 9 am in the hotel.

room was nice. they were performing construction on the main entrance so guest had to use the side door. the shuttle service was a joke. they did not stick to their "schedule" and they had three fully opperating shuttles just sitting around with two had operators but refused to take anybody, becuase they werent "scheduled"

Very fast service and reasonable prices at the in-hotel restaurant. It featured primarily Mediterranean food, and the portion sizes were just right. The restaurant is located at the rear entrance to the hotel, so there isn't as much foot traffic. Excellent atmosphere for a quick meal before heading out to an event or the O'Hare airport.

Suites are ample sized but furniture is worn; breakfast average...it is outrageous that they charge $30/day parking when you are hotel guest...considering "park and fly" rates all around are about $10 per day! I would go elsewhere where parking is complementary...i think their high daily rates should cover that amenity.

The staff was very friendly and the rooms are spacious and nice. 2 issues: 3 elevators, only 2 worked and they were really slow. Also the breakfast buffet hot food was kind of cold. But they did their best to make sure we had a good experience.

Had a company quarterly business review meeting on one of their conference rooms. Breakfast had a lot of variety but the plates were a bit small which meant that we each had to take 2-3 plates worth of food back to our seats. They also cleared up the food about an hour into the event. The restrooms were good and spacious.

I was sent to the Embassy Suites when United canceled my flight. All in all, I would really recommend this place. Free hot breakfast in the morning, including omelets made to order. Free alcohol in the evenings. Nice staff, spacious rooms (I loved having a two room suite). The biggest problem is the lack of accessible power outlets, especially near the bed. There's one near the sink in the bedroom, and one in the bathroom. Both are presumably for getting ready in the morning, but do little for those who would want to charge their electronics near them. Plus it's kinda awkward standing by the sink, sending emails and texts to your family while your phone is charging. Also, the doors are not well insulated at all. I was on the second floor, which is great for access to cocktails and wine, terrible if you want some peace and quiet.

Still, I'd go back in a heartbeat. The shuttle to the airport runs every 20 minutes, which I found very convenient.

Rooms are good, the toiletries provided are also good, breakfast was good and they have a complimentary evening snacks which is something most desirable, between 5:30-7:30 pm however the only flaws, the reception does not mention about it ( could have been in a rush as there were too many people waiting to be checked in) and the time should be extended least by another 30 mins.

Hotel is great!! Some parts are a little dated including the rooms. My room door overseas the front foyer and desk area I wish it was a little bit more enclosed. Another weird thing is I can see people's shadows walk across my door which is cool as well as creepy.

This was the most averagey-average hotel I've ever stayed in. For three nights in March I was a guest at the Embassy Suites. This hotel is old, and tired. Lots of little reminders were present that says they need to redo this. Chipped paint, stains, scuffed walls, and the most average-to-mediocre breakfast buffet ever. The food looked good, but lacked any taste or substance. Same w/the evening "reception"... a bowl of snack mix, caramel corn and a crudite tray with a vat of ranch does not equal a reception. It was really something. The front desk attendant made a big deal about us having coupons for the reception and breakfast, but no one ever asked for them.

Every member of staff we came across in three days was uninterested and nearly despondent. From the valet attendant to the omelet chef, they just didn't seem like they cared. Won't be returning.

Elevators are sketchy and get stuck a lot, and the hotel room doors are really annoying, in my opinion. The breakfast is pretty great though, and the beds were comfortable. Although prices vary, I find this hotel to be a little over priced, and would check others out in the area first.

It is an OK hotel over all, though I would never call it a good hotel. We have stayed there the last four years for a convention. This year was the worst and last year we will ever be staying there. There were M&M's and a tooth pick left from the previous guest by the couch. The room we were in was 201 which is directly over the lobby. There was so much noise coming from the lobby that we could not sleep. All of their rooms have a double front door that allows light through. There are not curtains to close to keep the lobby light out. There was enough light coming through that I could read a book in the middle of the night without turning on any room lights. Make sure you leave the do not disturb sign on the door unless you want housekeeping to come in at 8 in the morning. The hotel does include a hot breakfast though don't go up for seconds unless someone is holding your table. I went to refill my drink, the workers cleared off my plate and others took the emptied table before I got back to finish my plate. Unless you are paying the front doormen to carry your bags, they will be very short with you. They charged us $249/night for the room when we booked at $149/night. When I asked them about it, they just said that is the rate and there is nothing they can do about it. So, if you want an expensive motel experience go for it. The place is convenient to the convention hall and pricey food.

Stay at this hotel several times a year and wouldn't ever choose another. Breakfast and happy hour are amazing as is the size of the room. I am disappointed that they removed the hot tub. Please bring it back

We tried here for our 14th and the service was second to none. Shout out to Habi and Ayla for their patience, assistance and good nature. Shout out to Oscar for smooth check in and Sami for offering to help beyond what was happening.

Great location and the environment was friendly. The room sizes are big and comfortable. The most amazing thing about it is the 2hr free happy hour drinks, complimentary of the hotel. Loved it.
