Buffet is really good ! But casino employees have a bad attitude like they could care less if your there

The environment was great. And they give you at least 10$ free play if you go and use your card every now and then. Wish i could still get the free food comp again

I have been a long time fan,Advocate and contributor,to Ameristar Casinos in Vicksburg Mississippi,for vast amount of years and this is the lowest I've ever seen this casino stoop to or portray, with taken away so many fringe benefits for their members they used to have percentages signs posted up in the casino throughout, stating,97 percent winners on slot machines that is long gone, I hear no cherry doing winning sessions, because there are no winners, now it seems more like a cemetery and you know with cemeteries, people visit them far less, so I suggest that you rethink your strategy,rebuild your approach, regain your customer base,you're bottom line will follow!now that's a think about it production from, D Anderson

My first visit and they do not give free play money, all the other casinos gave from 5 to 10 in free play.

Beautiful!!The Food is Awesome, The Hotel is CLEANSE and Nice, people who works theirs is Awesome ,they make sure you have everything you need to make your stay more comfortable ,overall it's BEAUTIFUL!

We stayed at the hotel. The room was unbelievable for the price. Everything was spotless. The staff was incredibly accommodating. I can't say enough nice things.

Very ghetto type atmosphere...drinks suck and also the service... Will never return here unless I'm bored...and I'll make sure to bring a flask with my own alcohol!

Need a smoke free section. Casinos in the coaster area got it!

Very disappointed spent little over a grand machines way to tight if they want business loosen them machines up.

It was a dull place to be a casino, the employees were not very lively or nice.

Service @ valet parking the best! Buffet/food very good the 2 days. One problem, called earlier for seafood meal price, which was posted the same amount on signs in casino, but was charged $3.00 more when paying?! Great service though! Slots fair, not much of a gambler.

Nice, we were there on a slow day. Played some games. Friendly staff.

Awesome restaurants, plenty of gaming, promotionals, live entertainment, and an electric atmosphere!!!!!!

The satellite was out all night in our room. The buffet was terrible and we were woken up by heavy equipment being moved on the property next to our room!

I absolutely hate this place. They are so rude and offer very little, (if any)free play. Not only to new members, but current members as well. I was reminded why I do not go there. Instead, I go to Riverwalk Casino where after my 2nd visit, they offered me a free 2 night stay every month,
which might I add, has VERY nice rooms and an extremely clean casino, but $40 free play every Friday, as well as buffets for two. Then there is this place... Get with the program people. You people could stand an entirely new crew at player services, clean it, speak to your guests and offer them something to keep them coming, as I'm sure you guys can afford it. I've been to your casino 7 times, which was too many, and I have NEVER won anything there. You guys should do something with your machines to curb this as I'm sure I'm not the only one who has noticed these things. Thank you and goodbye.

We stayed for 2 nights while touring Vicksburg and the battlefield. We really thought the hotel was closer to (or on) the river , but it s not. It s across a busy street, and the casino is on the river . The hotel itself was adequate and the room was comfortable and clean. It was also fairly convenient to drive to restaurants in town and to get around. Pleasant stay!

The machines can't receive money or ticket from another machine, slots very, very tight.
Played with my players card forever and never get any reward points. I've had 78
points for the last year and never increased regardless. Checked with casino, said needed email address. Not so nothing never
changed. My husband has had the same problem. We are very disappointed and do not and will not recommend Ameristar Casino to anyone not even an enemy.

Large casino in Vicksburg on the Mississippi River. They have great food as well. Very comfortable rooms that are well kept.

I am so tired of people saying they have free WiFi...I do not care if it's free or not..I just want it to exist.

Real nice casino. Had a great game of Texas Hold'em going on on a Monday afternoon. Restaurants are really good.

Went their specifically for the buffet which is rated the best in the area. The selection was poor, the food was cold and the seating area overlooking the river was closed. Also you cannot bring your family in without an escort since you have to walk through the casino. Allow an extra half hour for that. Ichiban Chinese Buffet blows these guys out of the water at half the price. If you re even in the Jackson metro area, try them instead. You ll never go back to Vicksburg again.

Traveling through. Travel at least monthly. Decided to stop since the Heritage Buffet is advertised as having been voted "Best Buffet for 12 consecutive years".
If this is true, I'd really hate to stumble upon any of the others. This was - with the exception of 1 or 2 desert items (the 1st star in my rating) - some of the most taste-free food I've ever attempted to eat.
The staff was quite pleasant (the 2nd star in my rating), but if you want good food here...you're going to need to bring it with you. In retrospect, I suppose 90+% of the tables being vacant should have been a clue.
You live, you learn.

Casino was good just not enough waitress won some money to just give it back in the end looking forward to another trip

Sports book feature is nice. The food on the buffet is really good but it's a kinda pricey for a buffet

I was very disappoint with this hotel. I went on a Monday. first thing there is on breakfast okay, 90bucks and no breakfast. Then I go to the pool the hot tub is broke and the pool is hotter then the hot tub. So I say forget swimming went back to the room can't get in the door batteries are out now...SMDH THEY SUCK ON THIS DAY.

Very Q. The room was great. Shuttle to casino. Will definitely stay again. Front desk staff very friendly and helpful.

They have plenty of events, but their gaming floor on the second level is extremely crowded to the point there isn't really a lot of space to walk.

Won $338.00 with our last $1.00!! How awesome is that. Had a blast. Clean and very courteous staff.

The staff was fantastic. They actually deserve 5 stars. The room was very clean. Housekeeping did a great job. The reason for giving only 3 stars is due to the furniture in our room. The bed mattress was very uncomfortable probably due to excessive use. Time for a new mattress. The chair and ottoman had stains all over them so we didn't use them. Time to change them out or have them professionally cleaned. Could have just been this room. Will probably try one more time to find out. Very convenient to the Casino and like the free shuttle service. Security is very good. They have staff watching in the lobby and only guests can access the elevators with their room keys. Hopefully I can give a five star on our next visit.

Didn't really like the atmosphere at this casino. Wasn't a very exciting place like you'd expect from a casino. Didn't win anything just lost $ at every machine I played.

Clean comfortable rooms. Had a problem with the TV and tub in the first room, but the staff had us switch rooms and had no issues in the second one.
