A great location to see all of the local attractions, the rooms were very comfortable and the facilities were excellent. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful and the food in the restaurant was great. My son loved to see the peacocks roaming around and we would not hesitate to co.e back. Thanks for a wonderful stay

Although it s positioned as a resort, it doesn t quite give a laid back and relaxing feel, especially so on a weekend with wedding activities going on. We had to queue to check-in, and the lobby was packed with guests waiting, as well as bridesmaids and groomsmen walking around with their wedding props.

The ride to our suite was nice, as we were ferried via a buggy to the doorstep. However, once we stepped into the suite and closed the doors and windows, we could still hear the screams from the rollercoaster rides at Universal Studios. Slightly surprised that the suite is rather small, and the facilities are slightly run down. Also, the room is quite cramped with a lack of a comfy couch or sofa set for one to sit comfortably to rest.

Breakfast served at shutter is alright. Not fantastic and not that bad. You can get the cook to do up any kind of egg you want and it wouldn t take too long. The coffee is probably the only good thing here. Service at shutters is still very good for day and night. Hardworking and polite staff who are on the ball at taking care of you.

Nice place, the room was very comfortable and modern. However service was very spotty - housekeeping and restaurant staff were good, but reception was terrible. Didn't even offer to help with luggage, and even though it was raining, didn't offer any umbrella. Staff were content to let me lug my bags into my room in the rain from the buggy without any attempt to help.

Very well appointed hotel with great facilities and excellent staff and service. One little negative comment, our suite was pretty near the universal studios rollercoaster ride. We could hear riders screaming. It wasn't very loud, but enough to be irritating. USS is open till 10pm on Fri and Sat, unfortunately that's when we stayed.

Location is confusing. Customer Service isnt very good.asked a staff where is the location of the lodging.they asked me to wait and didnt get back to me. And stuff working there isnt familiar with the lodging area. Misled me further then i am suppose to go.causing me to sweat profusingly under the hot sun... very unpleasant experience. Resort should provide transport from entrance to lobby .may it be guests or resort stayers

Nice, clean room (note that there are no locks on the toilet doors). Highlight was definitely exploring the hotel grounds. The gardens and Glass Pavilion are great spots for photos to remember your stay. Easy access to Palawan Beach and RWS for food. Check in process was slow as there was a long queue though staff were friendly.

Booked a single bedroom villa with private pool a little pricey but my group of girl friends and I really wanted a private pool so we settled for this despite the staggering number of bad reviews. Never expected I'd end up contributing to the number too.

There was a sizeable piece of glass shard etched in the floor of the pool near the step-in area, so you can imagine what happened as soon as one of us stepped in. We tried to stop the bleeding and for a while it looked like it could be contained, but I think the cut was a little deep and it was not long before the bleeding continued. This time we went over to the front desk and relayed this information to a security staff who immediately went to retrieve his first aid kit; as well as the duty manager, Ekin Ong, who simply said he will send one of his colleagues over. We were a little fazed over the incident at that point so his casual, cursory attitude didn t hit us just yet; but when we revisited him again a second time, that was when it really hit us. For some reason, Ekin thought it apt to offer us free breakfast to resolve this problem, which was instantaneously reflective of how little he thought of the issue and whilst later he stepped up to offer medical compensation, his general stance when dealing with us was extraordinarily perfunctory and that of minimal concern.

The front office manager, Benny called us back on Monday; who proved just as lacking in empathy and empowerment. He offered us a free room upgrade for our next stay, which is categorically more impractical than a free breakfast, because, what, now we have to burn another $700 just for this to be resolved? Let s not even bring up the fact that, if they were really genuine about the offer, they would have just changed our rooms that very night (we don t even need an upgrade, we just want a pool we can trust to step in). I turned it down because the only compensation that made sense to us (and which we have conveyed to both Ekin and Benny) is a partial reimbursement for the pool because we had specifically paid more just for a private pool only to not dare to use it in the end. I was informed that this would not be possible, as my reservation was booked through a third party website (Agoda).

Of course we understand the business side of things, and that when we book through third-party sites, the room is offered at a discount and the intermediary gets a cut too so obviously the property gets a compromised margin. But of course, the way I see it, it also means that Amara s management is of the belief that, as long as you don t book directly with them, it gives them solid grounds for shirking ownership when a problem takes place at their property.

The concept of unforeseen circumstances is not unbeknownst to us and in fact, it s not our friend s injury that infuriates us this greatly, but rather, the really really half-baked, incompetent methods of service recovery. Everything that has been offered to us up till this point (save for medical compensation) works AROUND the problem and not AT the problem itself, which, to be very honest, is highly insulting to the gravity of the situation that both the duty and front office managers seem to have trouble grasping. In fact, when my conversation with Benny was coming to an end, he tried to offer the free upgrade again something which I have specifically turned down TWICE and explained in excruciating detail why.

All in all, since it has been implied to us that Amara cannot take responsibility for this incident as our booking was made through a third-party website, then the responsibility will fall upon us to forewarn others what they re up for when they stay here. There is a prevalent inefficiency with the way thing are being structured to run here, and the result of it are staff who are not able to problem solve efficiently because of all the profit-oriented, non service-focused parameters by which they are confined. DO NOT DISCOUNT ANY NEGATIVE REVIEW YOU READ HERE. That was exactly what we did and we sure paid the price for it.

Agree with reviews that hotel does not live up to 5 stars n claimed status. Deluxe rooms were decent n clean but aged with tiny sea view. Lots of greenery but no vibe. Staff worked hard but not with heart.

Karlson is a great manager and did everything perfectly. Rooms were a little old and may need some refurbishing. Other staff working may need a little more smile on their faces. Only Karlson had smiles.

It has a beautiful environment with free-roaming peacocks and the reception staff were helpful and attentive. The room we were given was very spacious with modern facilities and overall we had a comfortable and luxurious stay. Will definitely consider coming back here again!

Stayed 1 night from Fri to Sat. Spa was open but no staff attending at 12pm. Had to head back to main reception to ask about it and waited 20mins for the spa staff to arrive. When they did, the service was good.

Rooms are spacious and clean, but there was a dirty rag left in our toilet when we checked in. Not all rooms have a balcony for you to dry your wet clothes if you head to the beach. Not sure why a hotel wouldn't provide all rooms with a dedicated space to dry your clothes. After all, Sentosa is a beach resort and guests genuinely need a place to hang their swim wear to dry.

The breakfast was extremely underwhelming with very limited selection. Dishes are more local/asian, which is understandable if they want to cater to a foreign crowd. I was otherwise expecting a full english breakfast. The bread selection was quite sad.

Would I stay there again? Unfortunately no, as I place high weightage on the hotel's breakfast, which had left me quite disappointed. And the whole resort has a slight "run down & dated" vibe. Otherwise the service and rooms are not bad. There are quite a few peacocks roaming freely, which is quite nice!

It's a bit biased compared to other hotels, but you can walk to imbiah in about 10 minutes, and it's okay. The room is large and clean, just a lot of mosquitoes near the pool. Overall, the price is not bad.

The skypool is relaxing and the rooms were beautiful with a garden view. Peacocks could be spotted at times. However, the hotel service was rather lacking. Counter check in was slow and rooms weren't ready at 3pm.

A good respite from Singapore main island if you fancy a 1-2 nights stay with nature and spa or just simply spend some family time together swimming. The morning international buffet breakfast was ok and rooms were spacious and comfortable.

I had a company event at Amara Sanctuary Resort Sentosa. We had a wide variety of food, and the seafood were fresh. They had a huge selection of drinks for us to prepare to our liking. I like it that i can make my own honey lemon. Their service was fast too.

The rooms are decent however service is atrocious, I was informed that amara gave my friend's room to another hotel guest when payment have been settled, and was told to " make the best out of the circumstances." after much debate and asking they were then willing to give us their suite, for no additional cost. This should never have happened at all.

Service - is average. I expect staff to greet guests and say hello or good morning, etc when they see guests, especially in the hallways. However, they just don't say anything. Makes them appear uninterested. We checked in at 7pm and it still took a bit of time for them to figure out which room was available for us to stay.

Rooms - we stayed at the sanctuary, which are the standard hotel-like rooms. Ours faced the wedding chapel, which was nice. Quite big, though furniture is a bit dated and pillows are a bit big and hard for my liking. Otherwise nothing too special.

Facilities - they have a few pools. The sky pool is mainly for adults and has a nice view of the strait of Singapore. The kids pool is small but fun, it has a small water slide. Just be careful as the water is a bit shallow. I didn't use the gym but it's fairly big and has been equipment.

Location is excellent as is a short walk to Palawan beach and port of lost wonder, which is great for kids.

Overall if you lower your expectations a bit and don't compare this to say Capella or the other high-end resorts in Sentosa, you'll be fine. It's a lot "cheaper" also, so keep that in mind.

A hotel in Sentosa, Singapore. It is a very relaxing hotel surrounded by nature. There are peacocks in the hotel that are free-range and sometimes stop by without knowing them.
I think it would be very relaxing to stay with family and couples rather than staying at work.
You can also walk to the casino and Universal Studios Singapore.
Meals and healthy food are also available.
If you are considering a wedding in Singapore, the hotel's chapel is a mysterious building surrounded by greenery, so it's recommended.
Also, if you stay in a suite, there is a private pool, so if you wake up in the morning, you can swim in the pool right away.

The 3 stars is mainly due to the service provided. Staff are all very nice and kind. But the room we stayed isn't very clean. Sofa has stain and there's a empty PET bottle on the balcony. Luckily, the bed and bathroom are very clean. I think their cleaners should have been more careful.
