The guide who accompanied us around the rocks was really professional. Very prepared, made a simple ride that saw the scorching heat and the rise of the stones was quite complicated .. Many curiosities that are not on the guides ... Recommended, especially in Matera, where it is really easy to lose sight of the conformation of the map of the center!

We started the day with a day trip to Matera on 1/5/19 and my husband and I fell in love with this wonderful city, thanks to Antonio who showed us how much there is to learn from our past to respect the future, for me in particular a return to my childhood from my grandparents Campani, thanks Antonio, as soon as possible we will return to show Matera to my daughter.

Great courtesy and organizational skills of the office staff. Competent and professional guides with whom we visited some rock churches in the Parco delle Murge and the beauties of the historic center and Sasso Caveoso. We visited the beautiful city of Matera yesterday by contacting the Altieri agency. We had a great time! Staff very prepared, helpful, friendly. Tour of the Sassi really very interesting and led by a trained and engaging guide. The only negative note was the number of participants in the visit, too many to be able to move easily and listen to everything that the guide told.

Never the best decision to take a guided tour of the Sassi of Matera. Antonio entertained us, interesting us in a fantastic way. I had the good fortune of visiting at sunset and it was an unforgettable experience.

Excellent experience in the heart of the Sassi of Matera. Our guide Antonio turned out to be a passionate connoisseur of his territory, managing to make us fully appreciate all the curiosities that such an enigmatic city as Matera has to offer. The tour, lasting two hours and entirely on foot, was divided into heart of the famous Matera Sassi and was composed of a first part of the history of the territory (in a viewpoint of the city) and then continued with a visit to a rock church, a cave house, a famous craft shop and finally necropolis. Antonio was able to lead us step by step through the fascinating history of his city. It all ended with a tasting aperitif at the agency's headquarters, the only drawback in this beautiful experience is that being the large group, for the tasting part (keeping indoors) we had to divide into two groups and the second ( of which I was a part) had to wait 25 / 30min to access.

Once in Matera, we opted to find a guide so that we could better appreciate our visit. And I must say that we were completely satisfied, our guide, a very scrupulous girl in telling us the history of the city was very kind and very prepared. In the end there is also a tasting of typical local products.

We booked a visit to the stones for a few minutes later. What can I say: very friendly staff and a really nice guide. Recommended!

My husband and I booked the Sasso Caveoso tour for 4pm, Antonio showed us and told us about Matera in great detail. The tour lasted 2 hours and ended with a taste of local products, much appreciated.

Incompetent and unprofessional agency! We booked a tour to the Murgia park in Matera ... the very good guides ... prepared and who involved in the explanations! On the other hand, the incompetent agents of the agency ... 3 times they asked where they would leave us on our return from the tour and instead the driver without any explanation left us in Piazza Matteotti practically on the opposite side of the historic center! Therefore we had to reach the agency on foot and to our complaints the lady replied sorry without any plausible explanation !! So he judges ok ... zero agency !!!

50 tour to the Murge park in two. 5 stars to the guide (Anna) the rest we can talk about. All in all more than enough.

The tour organized in the Caveoso goes from the monuments, to the artisans to finish with a tasting.

Antonio's professionalism and love for the history of his land are the real added value of this tourist trip among the stones.

We booked in time (15 days before) and bought on the spot a tour in the park of the Murgia and the rock churches. Too bad that the rock churches were all closed. We complain about a lack of professionalism in not having informed us in time. Nothing to complain about the guide who accompanied us on a visit to the Murgia.

I did a guided tour of Matera with the guide Antonio and it was very interesting and exciting. Antonio was a perfect Cicero. At the end of the visit we had the opportunity to taste typical Lucanian dishes. Super positive experience and highly recommended!

First time in Matera! Spectacular!!! Wonderful!!! The afternoon of our arrival we listened to the advice given by the owner of our. B. & B. Old Annunziata. (B&B next to the Duomo ) He advised us to visit Matera through the Altieri Agency. We were really satisfied, we showed up at the agency at 5.45 pm ... at 6 pm we were ready to visit the Murgia Park and the rock churches with a more than extraordinary guide "Cosimo". Really complimented.
The next day we visited the stones of Matera always with the guide, very good, "Antonio". Truly excellent guides, very knowledgeable. We visited everything that could be seen .. despite the rain ... rock churches, the Sasso caveoso, a local handicraft shop (beautiful) and, at the end of the tour, we were offered a tasting of local products in the Agency. Exquisite products ... that you cannot fail to buy ... Complimetissimi really heartily to all the people who work there, even in the agency they are all very kind. We carried out with Altieri, two excursions in the month of June. Both guides were up to par. Very prepared. At the end of the first, the tasting was proposed, but they do not oblige anyone to stop, let alone buy. After the tasting, we bought and shipped the products, unfortunately some arrived broken, warned the agency, in less than ten days, we have returned the broken products, without paying any supplement. Well done !!! To recommend!

We visited Matera with Antonio, very knowledgeable, precise, helpful and friendly. He illustrated the life of this city, from its birth to today, as well as providing us with explanations both on the cave house and on the church that we saw without having to pay for admissions because they are already included in the agency fee. The visit to the handicraft shop was also very interesting. I highly recommend this experience.

We visited the Crypt of the Original Sin which for me, alone, was of a mystical beauty (I still remember the lady next to me singing). Then the Sassi in Matera with Angelo, perfect guide and prepared to explain details of life in the stones, rock churches, history of the many places where I could breathe the air of the sacred. Then ride on the Murgia with the guidance of the magnificent Cosimo who gave us the opportunity to know the history of the dawn in Matera with views of the new city that took my breath away (the rock church with the Madonna del Pomegranate is crowning worthy of a trip that will remain in our memories). Travel agency that provides tourist guide services, I strongly advise against it because of the delays they have to start the tours, compared to the appointment, therefore unable to organize. The guides are professional and especially the nice Maria, who introduced us to the beautiful Matera. Tour to parco della morgia done only with a bus, with real gatherings without respecting covid regulations.
