Excellent experience in the heart of the Sassi of Matera. Our guide Antonio turned out to be a passionate connoisseur of his territory, managing to make us fully appreciate all the curiosities that such an enigmatic city as Matera has to offer. The tour, lasting two hours and entirely on foot, was divided into heart of the famous Matera Sassi and was composed of a first part of the history of the territory (in a viewpoint of the city) and then continued with a visit to a rock church, a cave house, a famous craft shop and finally necropolis. Antonio was able to lead us step by step through the fascinating history of his city. It all ended with a tasting aperitif at the agency's headquarters, the only drawback in this beautiful experience is that being the large group, for the tasting part (keeping indoors) we had to divide into two groups and the second ( of which I was a part) had to wait 25 / 30min to access.
