Amazing 100% German Restaurant! It was so nostalgic for me as is reminds me of my Grandma's house.

Food is delicious, service is spectacular and the live music is great. Will be back for sure on my next visit!!!!

Very delicious and authentic. Can be hard to spot from the street. Once you do you'll be in for a real treat. The fried brie will astonish. The veal schnitzel option is worth the upcharge.

Great place for delicious German food in New Braunfels. Selection of schnitzel and sausage with many choices for German beer. Since I rarely find it, I chose the goulash. Great flavor and the beef was fall apart tender.

Outstanding authentic German food. I haven't had a Weiner Schnitzel, potatoes, red cabbage and Sauerkraut like that since I lived in Germany. Great selection of German beers also. Price is moderate and well worth every penny. Service was great, attentitive, yet not always bothering you. Plenty of space between tables for semi privacy....not loud and echoing rooms. Highly recommend it.

Mother s Day dinner for 5. We sat outside and thoroughly enjoyed every minute! Great food and service! Sausage sampler, authentic German dishes, good beer selection- no complaints at all! This is away from all the craziness that s in Gruene and made for a great day. Definitely going back!

Walked from tiny house we rented at The Float In. Was a nice little stroll. It was a Thursday night so not too crowded. The manager came over & talked with us. Had a free dessert for our special occasion. Food was great.I dream about those potato dumplings. So good. Had a German beer & enjoyed our time immensely.

We planned a family vacation to San Antonio (we are from Denver), and with the influence of the German culture, and myself being from Bavaria, we put Alpine Hause on one of our Must DO . So we drove up on Sunday, and the website didn t give any indication of needing a reservation, unless I missed it. With that .

The Host, immediately had a reluctant expression, walked back, came back up, kept looking at his sheet, and said yes we can sit you, then it was a no. Said we have to wait a hour, at 5 because they had another reservation at 4, and they only had 2 servers. He offered us to sit outside in the beer garden but we can only eat appetizers. He didn t want to sit us inside because of having 2 servers, but who would have served us out there?! Looked FAR from enjoyable. We even offered to sit apart, and not together, and said he could not accommodate that, even with cleared tables. With that we felt like they didn t want our service anyways, so we left very disappointed. I know my family would have been flexible, understanding the restaurant business And because we live so far, can t say we will ever recommend that place either.

Can t rate the food.

Loved it! We have been to Germany, and know authentic and good German food. It was astounding! Great service, good portions, and delicious. Best in New Braunfels! Will definitely go back again! They even fried their spaetzle, which was new to me, but the best ive ever had!

If you are looking for the ULTIMATE quaint, authentic, fine German dining and beverage experience in Texas you found it! Just make sure to find it, it's a bit hidden from main road. (And if you are looking for ultimate lively partylike German expirience head to Greune, Tx just a little down the road.)

Five stars because that's all that is allowed.

Five stars because that's all that is allowed.
Even though we arrived a half hour before the mid-week closing time of 2pm the service and atmosphere rivaled that of any date night.
We started with the chef choice sausage platter which was outstanding, the bratwurst really impressed.
The lunch specials come with either a fresh made soup or salad with house made vinaigrette both wonderful.
We chose the Ruben sandwich and the Black Forest Ham wrapped asparagus and were not disappointed. Both came with a very good cold German potato salad but other options were available as well.
We couldn't resist the Alpine Delight for dessert, to go, a heavenly concoction of pecan crust, chocolate mousse and whipped cream.
Do yourself a favor and make this a stop when you are in New Braunfels.

The food was good but the price a smidge steep. The waitress was nice but she did my one pet peeve while dining out....She took the bill and cash and asked if I needed change. Please do not ask me if I want change. It is awkward. Just bring me my change and let me tip you. It makes me feel put on the spot and I hate it!! Super unfortunate. It definitely was not bad food though. I just think the prices are too steep for what it is.

We were stationed in Germany in the Army back in the 90s. This place brought a flood of memories. It is exactly how I remember! (The only thing missing was someone's little dog in the table next to us...) Highly recommend!

Went here with my parents for lunch during the week and if I could give this place an even higher rating, I would. The food was that good. My dad is german and said this was THE BEST german food he s had in all of the U.S.. And he loves going to german food spots. I recommend this to every person, whether you ve had this sort of thing before or not. Also, the owner came out to talk to all the tables and she is definitely European herself. She mentioned how some of the items on the menu were inspired by places she s traveled, including Switzerland, surprisingly.

This has to be the best German food I have ever had! The staff was friendly and went out of their way to get us a table, even though they were extremely busy. We ordered the fried Brie... It's covered in almonds and fried. Then it's served with ham raspberry chipotle sauce and German marbled rye bread. This is like taking bites of heaven! Perfect for our anniversary. The Jagger Schnitzel was delicious! We will definitely be coming back!

I really enjoyed the experience. The complimentary bread is amazing. I had the bratwurst sandwich with sauerkraut and potato salad. Everything was spot on. We have been to Germany, what we had here was better than the "real thing". They use quality ingredients. They are a bit pricey but the overall experience is worth the price for sure. Even the building feels like you have been transported to Germany. There is even German music playing. We will be back.

Best German food I've had since I left Germany! Everything we had was authentic and prepared daily! Make sure to ask what the special of the day is too. I highly recommend making reservations, as you can see by the photos, "Haus" accurately describes it--Very intimate setting. From the decor to the wine list to the meal, to even dessert, you can expect to spend lunch or dinner experiencing a typical German meal. We made early reservations for lunch, and arrived at opening, by the time we were midway through the meal, the front room was full! Definitely a spot NOT to miss while travelling to the area!

This was an accidental great find for us. If you want to have an excellent meal in a warm, intimate restaurant, this is the place. Everything is fresh and made in house. They even make their own whipped cream! Delicious! If you're looking for German food, this is the place.

Delicious food, best German that I've tasted outside of Germany. Excellent beer and wine selection, with free sampling. The best service I have had in San Antonio. I recommend asking for Lindsey. Authentic atmosphere, and you can reserve. The potato salad seemed not like the German potato salad I remembered, but I solved that problem easily by mixing in the sauerkraut.

Such a delightful a little gem. I was so impressed by the service and authenticity of the German fare. The Hoffbrau beer was delicious and also the Pork Cordon Bleu.
Regina was such an excellent and attentive server. I highly recommend this place to dine in or to enjoy the outdoor seating.

First class! Far above your typical German restaurant. Charming atmosphere without being kitschy. Your old favorites prepared with fresh elegance. Not stuffy - casual attire welcome. Fantastic beer list too. Guten Appetit!

We lucked into finding this place. We had a great waiter but Nathien is the one we will remember. He was charming and a delight while we waited for our food. We split a Weiner Schnitzel plate and we were glad we did. There was so much food. We saw the fried brie and would have gotten but it was just the two of us. It looked and smelled delicious. They also have a treat of marbled rye bread. So good. We asked and where able to buy a loaf. It is a quaint and enchanting place. Glad we found it. The food was amazing. Thank you again Nathien for all your knowledge.

This was my first time eating at the Alpine Haus and I really liked the sauerkraut and potatoe salad, the bread was yummy too. The schnitzel sandwich was tasty but the schnitzel was so thin, I had to look to make sure it was even there. Thier prices are high but the staff are kind.

Been missing my German food. I cook it at home but its good to just sit down and have a good authentic german meal put right in front of you.
We came down for a competition to San Marco's and I googled a good German Restaurant so Alpine shows up I looked at the website and read some reviews while on our way to there.

First time eating at a german restaurant and we definitly will come back, it is worth the hour deive feom Austin. According to my 9 years old the chicken from kids menu and the sausage sampler were the best he had ever. The food was delicious.
