We typically enjoy our experience at Alpine. This evening we ordered a couple of cupcakes (German Chocolate and Oreo), coconut cake, and two cookies. The Oreo cupcake was soft and delicious, as expected. The German Chocolate was not as I remembered it. The nuts didn t taste fresh (almost like a peanut, instead of a walnut) and there was less coconut Creme in the center. It tasted like a peanut chocolate mousse cupcake. When I phoned the restaurant to inform them, the manager treated me as though I didn t know what I d ordered, and rushed me off the phone. The most disappointing part of our experience this evening is the lack of customer service from the manager. We will not be returning anytime soon.

My wedding cake came from alpine, and it was so good that even 2 years after the wedding it is still talked about. We have also never gone here and not had amazing cake or truffles. I would give them 6 stars if the scale would allow.

Lots of dessert items!! I tried the raspberry chocolate cake and death by chocolate. Both were delicious. They also had a lots of other cakes, cupcakes, cookies & other pastries! They looked delicious too. It seemed like a nice restaurant which serves a lots of desserts, coffees, frappes & some food!

TBH, IDK what the big fuss is about this restaurant's bakery. Yes, there are some unusual flavor combinations, but the texture of the cakes leaves a lot to be desired. Your are given giant slices of cake and/or pastries to justify the high price they charge for them. It's ok if someone else if buying it for you.

Tonight we went in just for dessert. I've had the truffle cheesecake balls in the past and they are amazing! We ventured out a bit tonight and tried some of the cookies and coconut cake. Pretty decent, but certainly not the best I've had. Service could have been a bit more on point, but overall I'd say a B+. In short, if you're in that area then pop in. If not, I wouldn't go out of my way.

I've tried another Italian bakery and thought they were good until I tried this place for the first time today!! We went to get sfogliatelle for me, cream puffs for my daughter, and then my wife saw the cheesecakes!! We bought one and I just tried it and I almost cried it was so F***ING GOOD!!! The sfogliatelle were delicious. I am not going back to the other spot that's not worth mentioning because I forgot after I left Alpine!! We were in the area but we will make the drive from Norcross in Gwinnett! I wish I bought more sfogliatelle and cheesecake!!!

Always helpful people behind the counter. Patient and informative! I've never had anything not absolutely delicious from here, whether from behind the counter to special order for parties. Also very reasonable on prices.

First time visit and we will definitely be back!!! Sat outside in the covered patio area, intimate and comfortable. The food was excellent and the wait staff attentive. We wanted to order Death by Chocolate for dessert, but it has some type of almond base to it and we had someone in our party who is allergic to tree nuts. We were disappointed about that, but we had cheesecake instead which was terrific!! Great restaurant!

It's nice to know that Alpine Bakery's main location is back in action. I miss the sit down experience but I appreciate that they are taking customer safety seriously. The pizza and cakes are still the best in town. Trust me!

So, I refer people here all the time. I mean ALL. THE. TIME - and they always thank me.

The pizza and other Italian food is top notch.

They make practically everything from scratch. The meatballs - even the mozzarella for the caprese salad.

Oh the caprese salad is totally worth the price - you won't be sorry if you choose it.

The service is always excellent.

The desserts are even better than the food. And that's a big claim to fame. My very favorite is the Strawberry Swiss Roll - it's like a rollup of vanilla sponge, with custard and strawberries, covered in whipped cream, then dark chocolate shavings on top and chocolate covered strawberries on the outside.

One slice is enough for three people. And it is heaven in your mouth. TRUST ME ON THIS.

If you don't have much time and you are out by the silos, just stop in for the dessert and a slice of pizza - or just go into the bakery and get one the many delights they offer.

EVERYTHING is good: the cookies, the cupcakes, the little tarts, the cannolis - ALL OF IT. A whole cake is pretty pricey - but as it's made from scratch and one of the best things you'll ever eat, I'm of the opinion that it's still a good deal to buy a 40$ cake. :)

If you don't like it, I would be shocked to bits.

Had lunch here with my wife. Pizza, salmon, and more was excellent! And of course, the cake is well worth the price - try the Million Dollar cake if you aren't sure what to try (but plan to share it with someone)

Atmosphere is upscale, though I wore jeans and wasn't out of sorts. Service was on point and they were helpful with menu questions.

Absolutely give them a try!

The crumb cake took me back to some my mom made growing up. The texture is soft. When you apply your fork it holds together but parts easily. It is buttery with the perfect vanilla with one difference they have blueberry and apple. Absolutely delicious.

We are new to the area and visited the bakery on Saturday morning. Everything was well stocked and beautiful. But we found out that beauty does not transfer over to good tasting. The baguette was very dense with mushy crust. No taste. The large $9.00 dessert was beautiful but not very good. Yikes. Comes on people. Put less time in the presentation and more effort in the actual TASTE! It's really the only thing that matters.

I enjoyed eating here a couple of weeks ago. Lovely little place. The Grilled Salmon Salad was full of flavor and the variety of cookies that I tried were all delicious in their own respect.

My friend and I came for dessert and coffee. A young lady behind the dessert/cake counter told us we could have dessert brought to us in the main seating area. We have a seat. The manager says we cannot, but concedes after a waiter speaks with her. We've been sitting about 15 minutes, with plenty of dessert and coffee left, when the manager asks, "Do you want this packed away?" Closing time wasn't for another 45 minutes, and I saw her serving all other customers without any pressure to leave. It also turns out my friend and I were the only non-white customers there.

Went for the first time with friends. My wife and I shared the Calamari appetizer, Cesar Salad and the Seafood risotto. Service, atmosphere, and food were all top shelf. Manager checked on us himself. Highly recommend to any and all. Great Experience.

This place is expensive and over rated. The service is below average and take out staff are not very welcoming at all. Basically like it's your privilege to have them serve you. Ordering cakes in advance costs you an additional 3% on top of the average price. they don't prepare or write on cakes until you arrive. Basically so they can double dip if you don't show.

This place was really enjoyable and the atmosphere was calming,we loved it! The wait staff was attentive and knowledgeable without being hovering. We are planing our next visit already to enjoy a meal and listen to some soft tinkling of the piano ivories.

I'd have to say I am rather impressed with their NY Pizza. I was skeptical...but they are pretty legit. Plus they are the only place around that actually serves an 18" Pizza. You can't call yourself NY Pizza unless you serve at LEAST an 18" Pizza. 5 Stars from me.

Reservations were made at the Alpine Bakery in Alpharetta for a Sunday night in September in order to celebrate my grandson's 16th birthday. He was very excited because Alpine Bakery was one of his favorite restaurants until now.
We arrived & our party of 7 was seated & the dining experience was a disaster from the beginning. Our waiter gave me the impression that he would have preferred to be somewhere else other than working this particular evening & it showed. He took our drink orders, as well as our order for appetizers, then disappeared. Drinks were delivered & our main course orders taken at that time. 30 minutes later we were trying to flag down the waiter to get drinks refilled. We were practically begging for bread which he finally brought out to us. At this point he practically ignored our table. We arrived at 7:00 pm & were finally served at 8:30! During this time I asked to see the manager & she failed to show. My son went into the kitchen & tracked her down, asking that she come to our table. He had to go back to the kitchen for a 2nd time before she finally came to the table.
We had to ask 3 times before we finally got her to talk with us. To add insult to injury, my veal scallopini was horrible. It tasted as if the entire dish had been drenched in lemon juice & the veal was tough.
When the manager finally arrived, she looked exasperated. She listened to our concerns & finally decided to comp out meal. While that was generous on her part, the entire evening was ruined due to the complete incompetence of the manager & the restaurant staff.
We have dined at Alpine Bakery many times & had good experiences, but this was the final straw. I will never dine here again. With over 6500 restaurants in the Atlanta metroplex, I can find comparable restaurants with better food & better service.
My advise to everyone: STAY AWAY FROM ALPINE BAKERY!!!!!!!

A fine dining experience at casual fine dining prices. Traditional NY Italian and an amazing bakery to choose from dozens of deserts. Atmosphere is suitable for all occasions from a quiet dinner to gals lunch and even a formal event such as bridal reception.

Popped up there on my birthday to drink some coffee with desserts. This place is really stylish, and the cakes are very tasty but oh my, how smelly it is! It was like someone had been cleaning the whole place with the same dirty rag for several days. After staying for several minutes in the queue, I still felt this stench. Still, gave cakes a chance and took some to go. I give two stars because the cakes were really tasty, except for the cupcake that caused us a bit of indigestion.
But I highly recommend chocolate cheesecake bar and chocolate raspberry cake; they are superb.

Update: Since the bakery items are so delicious we decided to give the food another try. Due to covid concerns we ordered pickup. Everyone I saw working were wearing masks, that's a definite plus. We got 2 large pizzas and they were hot and ready to go when I got there. They were very yummy. Changed my 1 star to a 4 star based upon 2 previous pickup orders being consistently good.

Original 1 star review: Visited here as a date night recently and was excited thinking this would be delicious, authentic Italian food since we already loved the cakes from there. It was mediocre at best and the main dishes were just bland. You can tell they care about presentation & quality but the taste was lacking big time. The server said the calamari was crispy so we ordered it, but it was overly salted and soggy. Server asked if we'd like bread, but we never received it. The caprese salad was lacking flavor(didn't expect bland green tomatoes) and the balsamic drizzle was watery. Our entrees were bland, as it seems they only season with salt and pepper....it's Italian where's the basil or oregano or thyme???

Great food! Had cheese sticks and crab meat apps..... Chicken scaloppini, Rustica, & pasta Milano main dishes as well as desserts .... All was excellent! Would highly recommend.

Only negative was service. It took entirely too long for desserts AND they charged us a 20% tip on a party of 7 (3 of which were children) ...And a $15 corking fee. Bad gesture especially for a party of our size that ordered drinks and desserts..

Italian bistro in old Milton area. Upscale interior. Staff is very attentive. Food is above average for Italian but nothing crave worthy. The highlight of the meal was by far dessert. We tried 4 different desserts and each one was as delicious as the last. Highly recommend for a delicious treat!!

I've been coming here for years & it's hands down my favorite bakery ever :) There is a extensive, delicious variety of sweet goodies and baked breads. Great for stopping in to pick up or dining in for a nice date night <3 I will always recommend if in the Alpharetta or Woodstock area to check them out!
