Pizza with sausage was real good they didn't skimp on the sausage after the pizza had a lobster tail it was delicious as good as the one I had in Little Italy 2 weeks early at the San gennaro festival

I like that they have fresh ones every day. That is a surprise to me because usually when it comes to some shops, they tend to give their customers stale bread.
Service was extraordinarily slow. We waited over an hour from when we ordered. The food was mediocre - not worth waiting an hour for. The manager offered free cake but who wants to spend even more time?
Awesome food! The portions were huge and I had to take over half of my food home. Prices are reasonable. Their bakery is to die for!!!! The prices on bakery items are so awesome that you won't believe your eyes!
The experience was beautiful. We were greeted nicely and our waitress Courtney was sweet and attentive. Oh my the Spaghetti Bolognese with Sausage was so insanely good. Then we went over to the bakery and we stood there like little kids so overwhelmed by the sights and the aromas. I highly recommend this restaurant. I drove all the way from Covington and will gladly do so again.
Their cookies are amazing. Like really their cookies are amazing. You should get the cookies because they are amazing. If you are looking for a place with amazing cookies you should go here because their cookies are amazing. Oh and BTW their food is good too.
So as you have read in the reviews there is a lot of mixed results on the quality here.
I have been coming here for 10 years or more. Pizza used to be amazing and now it's only ok.
I ordered the spaghetti and meat balls recently with a Caesar salad and was very disappointed. The cannoli I had for dessert was amazing.
We went to order pastries. The chocolate cheesecake bar is ridiculously good and so are the butter cookies.
You simply have to accept that the bakery is better than the trattoria. I would give the trattoria a 2 star and the bakery a 4 star so I left a 3 star average.
bought a dark chocolate raspberry torte for my mom and dad for their anniversary and it was DELICIOUS! the girl who took my order helped me out by offering to write happy anniversary on the cake and it was exactly what I wanted. 10 out of 10
We ordered food from the catering department. The lasagna was absolutely terrible and burnt but they sealed it up in a box so we couldn t see it when we picked it up. The lasagna had one layer of meat then a layer of pasta then a layer of cheese. The cheese and meat we re not mixed in the layers. It was literally one layer of meat then pasta then a layer of cheese. When I called to complain they said that s how they make it but it s not how they serve in the restaurant. The lasagna they serve in the restaurant is made the traditional way.
Have been eating the pizza from Alpine for a while but finally went to the restaurant for dinner. Amazing. My 3 year still got her cheese pizza and my wife and I had a great Italian meal. Alpine has officially been added to our regular rotation.
Poor customer service and poorly made cake. Went in the buy a whole cake but they only had one half left. They would not let me buy the half unless I paid by the slice which would have cost more than the whole cake. Ended up buying two slices and I am sorry I did. The cake was dry and the mousse was hard. Very disappointing given the price. A grocery store cake would have been better.
This is a must have if in the Alpharetta area. They have amazing food for lunch and dinner with an Italian flair. I recommend their crab cakes, salad and giant pasta dishes where no one leaves hungry. The bakery is the high point of Alpine, however, They have some of the best desserts I have ever seen. I have eaten cannolis in New York and theirs was better. Great lobster tails, pastries, cupckaes, deliciously huge and decadent cakes and truffles to boot. I highly recommend Alpine.
We used to eat here alot but they have gone down hill....last time we were there we only picked up baked foods... My cake was first cut and was dried out ate 2 bite and tossed it...all the cookies we ate were sub par from what we used to get...my wifes cake was the same dried out...we spen $75 bucks of cookies and cakes and it all went in the trash... the only cookie that tasted fine was the pignoli...they used to know better....sad to see places going down hill.
We had reservations for Valentine's but were seated near the door. Asked for a booth but none were available. Froze the whole time there. Service was slow. While the food was good, we won't be returning.
Truly exceptional baked goods and pastries. My friends and family go out of their way to get something from here when they visit. Can't recommend enough.
At the first moment you come to this place they give you an enjoyable feeling. Very hospitable hosts, it is a good place to enjoy with buddies or with your date. enjoyable meals, professional chef, competitive cost and nice service. Warmly recommended.
Best cannoli I have found in metro Atlanta (and I have tried many), it would give Mike's or Modern from Boston's North End a run for their money. My husband also compares their rainbow cookies to his favorite bakery in NY. Cakes and truffles are also amazing. Amazing customer service!
Had great drinks and dessert. Wish we had taken a picture. Server was very accommodating with my suggestion to add chocolate to the double espresso martini. Turned out amazing!! Thanks Amy
Really like this place. Closest thing to the old Marietta Dinner. Cakes are delicious but are inconsistent in quality and ingredients. Had a few dinner items that were fairly priced for the portion received and tasted very good for the area. Definitely would like to go again and try some more items. The cookies and other baked goods are a bit over rated for the price; Home baked is still better. The staff is ok.. Busy restaurant. Get a lot of stress/anxiety/fake smiles which ruin the meal having to manage people when all I want is some calm peeps and some peace to eat without being irritated. The folks over in the baked goods area have always been wonderful, patient, and polite. Nice layout and comfy set up overall. Customer are ok for the most part, for the area..
Storytime, I ordered 3 salads online from ChowNow with special directions to put an octopus and a t-rex on the boxes. Let me say, THEY PULLED THROUGH AND I'M PROUD. Thank you, please order from this restaurant they are very nice.
It was our first time here, and we came for the desserts. The amount of variety was almost overwhelming! We ended up choosing the raspberry chocolate and the peanut butter chocolate cakes. They were so moist and delicious! We will definitely be coming back again!
Even though the place was an hour drive from where I live. I will give this bakery 110 for their cake. The cake is rich, icing was not right or I should excellent. Am not a cake lover but their is fantastic. People should definitely buy them.
DESSERTS. We get all of our desserts from this place. When we have out of town guests, when we are entertaining, when we (me) are cheating on our diet. Snickers cannoli, oreo cheese cake bar, cream puffs. Oh mama! EVIL AND WONDERFUL AND TOO CLOSE FOR MY WAISTLINE!
Highly impressed! I drove 30 minutes from Dunwoody to come check out this bakery. They're having a half price slice each Sunday for the next few weeks, so I figured it'd be a great time to stop in. They have a bakery section and a dining room. The place itself is rather dark, leading towards more of a relaxing atmosphere.
The desserts look (and smell) so, so good. I got three slices of cake: Chocolate, Red Velvet, and Oreo. All of which knocked them out of the park. They are so moist and delicious. Without the deal, they're about $9 each. With the discount on Sundays, the slices are about $4.50 each, incl tax. The slices are HUGE, so the discount definitely makes you get your money's worth. Without the discount, they have smaller versions of the same slices for about $4-5, which are a little bit more reasonable. This bakery has everything you could ever want, cookies, pies, cheesecakes, cakes, parfaits, and more. I will definitely be back next week to try new sweets.
The staff was so friendly and inviting, they were incredibly helpful in picking out the best choices. Like I said, I'll definitely be back next week!
i really like this place very much, very good food. i am going to say service is a little slow sometimes, however that is fine with me because a lot of people enjoy this place.
For a bakery in the suburbs, this place has some good selection of pastries but necessarily high quality and innovative. The high prices don't match the quality. The Italian food options are quite decent but at city(ATL) prices.
What a wonderful Italian restaurant and bakery I am so glad to know about it. I had the Chicken Francese for dinner which is a gluten free option. The portions were quite large so it provided lunch for me the next day. I was too full to try one of the bakery items so that will have to be for another visit. We also got excellent service. What a nice treat!
Service was terribly slow and the restaurant was near empty. They also charged $6 for a sliver of vegetable on top of my side pasta. We complained and they took off the charge. It wasn't bad but it wasn't spectacular. Sample dessert was tasty. Will not go back though.
thanks alpine for answering my previous comment, I tell you that when I went I asked for a high chair and they gave me a booster, and they told me that they did not have high chairs in the restaurant, I really could not enjoy my visit because my daughter has 1 year, is very restless and went down and up every moment of the booster.
Best description - yum! We've never gotten anything other than excellent food there. The only problem is you walk in seeing everything at the bakery side, but you know you should eat dinner first and by the time you finish eating your dinner it's so good that you're absolutely too full to fit any dessert. But they can fix that. You just get it to go.
Decent food, good dessert (But Pricey) as long as you get what you ordered - three times in a row they ended up boxing wrong things when we brought some dessert to go after dined in.
I visited this restaurant for the first time yesterday due to the reviews and it s impressive reputation. The presentation of the restaurant and baked items was beautiful. I ordered and tried 3 cupcakes (Red Velvet, Oreo, Chocolate Mouse) I was disappointed, the cake part of the cupcake was dry and tasteless. I was expecting a moist cake and more of a homemade taste - considering real natural ingredients are used according to the website. Cake texture was closer to corn bread. I had a black and white cookie too. The cookie was good.
The pizza and calzones are delicious at the Woodstock location. The place is clean and staff very friendly!! Just had dinner at the Alpharetta location. We ordered spaghetti and sausage with red sauce, a chicken dish, a huge calzone and a piece of chocolate / cheesecake. Everything was delicious and the service was wonderful. Can t wait to go back!!
I don't understand the hype around this place. The service was good, but the food, pricing, and management is far from that.
The menu is extremely misleading with its pricing, causing your meal to be much more expensive than it really is. For example, they upcharge 8 dollars for shrimp on children's pasta, and only 6.50 for adults. And 7.50 for a tiny side salad? Come on.
To top it all off, the manager here was extremely rude when we mentioned the discrepancy in pricing. Do yourself a favor, and look elsewhere for Italian food. You deserve better.
My wife and I LOVE alpine! We have been going to the Alpharetta location for years. ALWAYS great service, great food, and great sweets from the bakery. I proposed here with a little help from the staff. Alpine also made our wedding cake, and it was the most delicious wedding cake ever! Thank you Alpine for being so good at what you do. You're definitely an important part of our lives!
I have not had the opportunity to dine in Alpine Bakery; however, I have had their pastries (i.e., cake, cupcakes, macaroons, and cookies) which are moist and plentiful. You have options to get slices and portions for a small dinner dessert for two or a small family vs a party size.
I went there with my family for Mother s Day to have a nice dinner with my Mom. Unfortunately it was a horrible experience. The food took forever. Everyone around us got there food before us despite us coming in and placing our order before they had even sat down. Then when we are ordering desert it took another 20 minutes for our waitress to get 1 Cannoli, 1 cup cake, and I slice of cake....and you d think after waiting all night for our food to come out they would at least give you the correct deserts but of course we get all the way home to find out this was not the case.
Nice CROWDED place.NEED RESERVATION and service is VERY SLOW.Good food, good portions.Greeting at door not the best.Comunication internally deficient.Great pastry and food.My lasagna was terrible. Not cooked enough and stowed in tomato sauce.Brought home what I didn't eat and next day was like a brick.Threw it away.AND VERY PRICEY.But all and all I would give it another try.May be that Saturday was NOT a good evening.
Always amazing. Top 3 pizza places in North Fulton! But they really shine on the wide variety and incredibly tasty desserts. Friends that live in other metro Atlanta communities try to plan their visits to our home around Alpine's opening hours so that they can be sure to take desserts home to enjoy later.
Greatly appreciate the company carrying gluten-free products along with the professionalism exhibited by Mr Carson and helping out my best friend surprise his wife while in town for her birthday. Means alot. #personaltouch #thankyou
I visited the Alpine Bakery on a Saturday afternoon around 4:30 PM. It was easy to find and had plenty of parking. When you walk in, the first thing you see is the display of beautiful desserts. They have a little bit of everything sweet; cakes, pastries, pies, truffles, etc. The line moves pretty fast. To my surprise there were eight people looking at the display and making purchases. To make a long story short, the desserts were delicious. I ordered one of the large cupcakes and my daughter ordered some pastries . She was very happy in the presence of all of the glorious desserts which made me happen. I'm looking forward to going back as there appeared to be a place where you can sit and order other types of food. I originally thought it was just a bakery.
I ve not tried the food so this review is only for dessert. I love this place every time I go there. This is a bit too far for me but whenever I get a chance to be close by, I make sure to stop here. I absolutely adore their cake selections. I usually get either death by chocolate or tiramisu. Neither ever fail to disappoint me. The ads is amazing and they try very hard to cater to all your needs.
