I made a service appointment, but I still needed to wait for six hours and half to pick up my car. Okay, what's the point of an appointment? If you cannot service so many cars, just limit the number of appointments.

Love the brand new service department. Staff is friendly and helpful. Service times are kinda long, like they need the vehicle pretty much all day for routine service. Also sure service is extremely slow. Had to wait over an hour. Should have just taken a Lyft.

The service I received from Capitol Toyota was terrible. The wait to get checked in at the service entrance was over 45 minutes. I had an appt and was on-time but didn't get checked in at that time. This dealer had my Prius for 3 weeks and it is still not fixed-the technician Josh could not even diagnose the problem! My advisor, Dan, was not better. He handed me off to another advisor when he was off for the weekend. This lead to confusion as to who I should talk to and which mechanic was working on my vehicle. Dan didn't even know! I had to inform him.

Dan, my advisor, was rude and blamed me and my family for the noise concern that I had. He said that it was "my driving style" that is causing my problem. I didn't know that commuting on a highway to work would result in my axles going bad. Please tell me more!

They were inconsiderate, rude, and inept at fixing the issue I am having with my Prius. First, they cannot hear a thing. Second, they hear it and will let me know when they diagnose it. Third, now they magically cannot hear the noise and are unable to diagnose it. I call BS! As soon as I picked up my vehicle and drove around the block the sound was present-easily heard.

The service mgr, Vinnie, also was no help. I felt he was dodging my phone calls. I always got his voicemail. I informed him when I was available to take a return phone call but he would call at any other time. They didn't care about me as a customer and going out of my way to choose their dealer for service. Instead, I get ignored, insulted, and blamed for causing my vehicle's problem. Horrible experience!

I can't take any more Capitol! Just inconsiderate across the board.

*If you indeed care about your customers, you will give me a call instead of replying here, asking me to call you!

Typical car salesman. Horrible car buying experience. I thought buying a car online in 2018 would be easy convenient and transparent however it was the opposite. Low balled my trade in and would not be upfront of the car price. I left the dealership and did my research and found a much better price at Sunnyvale Toyota. The worst part of the experience was that the salesperson who now had my phone number became a telemarketer lol or even worse a debt collector calling me twice a day every day for a month ! No thank you Capitol Toyota. There are several other internet car sales services that would treat me better and love my business.

I used to have no problems with Capitol Toyota's service department. I've had my Prius' worked on there over the years without an issue. However, after a recent bad experience with their service management (Vinnie and his boss Bill), I won't ever go there again! I had an exterior piece of trim on my 2016 Prius that was peeling, not from anything I had done to it. It was clearly defective. Well, it was just outside of warranty and of course, there were no recalls or bulletins on file so I was basically told, "Sorry, can't help ya." by them. No efforts to contact Toyota or even try to work with me...just an estimate of what they would charge to replace the piece. I left feeling screwed over. Fortunately, I called Toyota directly and explained the problem to them. The customer service rep initially told me she couldn't make any promises, but she treated me respectfully and said she would investigate to see if there was anything she could do to help. I felt like she actually gave a damn! The Toyota rep called back the next week and said that they would reimburse me the cost for getting the part replaced. The kicker though....apparently this dealership service department asked that I NOT get the work done there! Really now?? You shoo customers away after one time they are disgruntled with you?? Wow, fine with me! I took my business to Steven's Creek Toyota where they treated me decently! Capitol Toyota is closer to where I live but I'll go where my business is valued and wanted! Exceedingly disappointed in the treatment I received here.

My experience from beginning to end was flawless. I've had so many run-ins with shifty car dealerships in the past, but Ali at Capitol Toyota in San Jose was a breath of fresh air! Not only did he calm my fears, but he made sure the process was virtually painless from start to finish.

I know...and I mean I KNOW... what a hassle it is to but a car. But trust me when I say Ali at Capitol Toyota is your guy. Never in my life have I had a salesperson be so attentive. In ANY purchase. Ali, you need to calm tf down LOL In fact, all the staff there is terrific. I couldn't be happier with my purchase, and the next time I buy a car I will definitely consider Capitol Toyota!

Bought my car here 15 years ago and still running great - Used service center twice and I was treated great there as well - One minor issue they took care of for free and other was for a recall needed to complete the smog - They fit me into the last slot of the day so I could get my registration done on time.

Few days ago, I communicate with their Direct Sales for a 2014 4WD highlander limited model. The Direct Sales offer me a very attractive pricing as $ 36,498 plus tax and license". Then I went to the shop and check out the new highlander and ready to purchase it.....but surprise!!! The Sales Manager told me the price he gave to me was a "MISTAKE", the new sale price is $ 40,459......... I am shock, very annoying, frustrate, not happy and very angry. Myself and my wife spend over an hour in your dealership for nothing....acting like a fool! I think your dealership/sales is using such a scheme to trap customer to the showroom. This is a very low ball sales tactic! I will never come back to your shop again and will tell the whole story to all our friends!
I also wrote to their GM and they don't even bother to respond!
Hope to alert all of you about this dealership!

If I not have this free oil change, I'll never go there for oil change. Its take half day. or all day. You have to go there 7 am, at noon it's ready. Right now I trying to call for the shuttle , I call 5 times, no body pick up the phone. I call customer service, and they only can transfer me to department, wear is nobody pick up the phone. Its my second revive for the customer service, and 1 stare again. Organising work is horrible on this company.

Visited the dealership 2 weeks ago to purchase a RAV4 Hybrid. The sales rep took us on a great test drive and provided all the information. When asked about price options the manager in charge was extremely cocky and did not work with me on the price instead challenged me to find a better price else where. Guess what ? I found a better price and was treated professionally by other dealership.

This was a good dealership 5 years ago. Now they are just trying to get your money. I bought a 8-year warranty on all computers when I bought the car. It was not a cheap one, the cost was about $2,000. Now my radio touch screen doesn't accept touches and I called them to fix it. They said I have to pay $200 for them to diagnose the issue and if it is covered by the warranty they will fix it. After about 15 minutes on the phone, the woman on the other side said that it is very unlikely the issue to be covered because the radio is not considered a computer. Well, the radio is running a version of Android OS, so I don't know what is considered a computer if a device, which is using OS (operation system) is not considered one. Anyway, I am going to ask for a written document and go to court. Be aware, they will charge money for nothing.

This guys doesn't know the value of time After seeing so many bad reviews, I thought I would take a chance since it was near where I was living. I found this place worst than I have seen on the reviews. The employee was so rude, I had a 11 am appointment after waiting 50 mins the service personnel came to see me. The same thing happened when I went to pick up the car, he called me the car is ready, I went there and pay my bill and again took them 30 minutes to bring my car after making several request to this guy.

I took my girlfriend here to check out the new Camry. Long story short, the salesman was initially very nice & even took us for a test drive. Now we clearly communicated from the start that we were doing research & comparing cars(Camry vs Accord vs Mazda 6). After the test drive, a "manager" took over & started being real pushy. I finally told him that we still needed to test drive the other cars(Accord & Mazda 6). He stated something to the effect that I was wasting his time. Things got a bit ugly, but we walked out of there & will never ever go back. Stay away from this place.

Vinnie Casucci was an incredible individual and an awesome manger, I believe he deserves more than five stars. He went beyond his limit in addressing my concern instantaneously and made sure I was happy. He showed and provided me great customer service. He was a professional, reliable, faithful and competent manager, he did an impeccable job on my car. He was so meticulous in fixing my concern. He even gave me a rental car until they fix my issue.
Without further ado, I highly recommend their services and especially their management facilities.
Much appreciated Vinnie Casucci

My wife is always complained about the price of going to the Mini dealership. Today I dropped off her at capital Toyota and it costs as much, yet the service is aweful. Dropped off the car for an oil change at 10 am with an appointment. And it is five pm and we are still waiting for a phone call back. Called twice to leave voice mails. We are going to have to drive over in the hopes to get it tonight. Best line from them: yeah we have a lot of walk ups. Umm then why did I have an appointment. This will be our one and only Toyota.

Be aware of the sales persons, Chris and Sabrina is the rudest person I've ever met. Not just rude, all the conversations went through since beginning was all about LIE!! They will scream to you if they feel uncomfortable because of it. Literally WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!! I don't understand how they treat customers like that. Zero star if I could.
Seems like the other people got cheated and had troubled with them too, so I post this to prevent further unsatisfying situation(S)..., don't waste your time. At least with Chris and Sabrina.
I totally agree with the idea of the other persons review, CHRIS SHOULD BE FIRED!!

I came in to this Toyota location after I had already gone to other Toyota s, and let me tell you this one was the best ! For a first timer on buy a car it s frighting and you want to make sure you get the best deal . Neil helped me and my dad out and he was awesome ! Best service ever ! Really recommend coming here . Neil really helped me out explaining everything I had questions about and concerns. Him and his manager really made it possible for me to walk out happy with my purchase and good about the deal they worked out for me. Keep in mind I didn t have a great credit score , but they still were willing to work something out for me. Really recommend coming here! The best services out of all the Toyota s I went to this one is the best !

This is the second time I go to car shop at this dealership and the experience is just awful. I have a headache right now. The first time should have been enough but I decided to give them the benefit of the doubt. Now I regretted. The young sales guy "try to give me a good deal" but the main sales guy was not only rude but also a weasel!!! Never ever coming back to this dealership. I will advise ALL my friends not to do so either.

Not coming back, which is sad because I used to go to them a lot.

Really poor service. Took the car in for routine maintenance - there was a long wait which I was okay with. The service manager was professional and really the highlight of the day. The waiting room is terrible. The waiting for the shuttle was much worse than that.

Due to confusion on their end, 3-4 drivers didn't take me on their shuttle, this is after I pointed out the issue to them after the 1 shuttle skipped me. I was assured that the next shuttle would take me, then that one didnt take me either. Then I was assured that another shuttle was coming back... but no contact could be made. At this point, I took an Uber home.

I will take my car to other dealers now. They wasted 3 hours of my time... no more.

The service staff here is wonderful they're thoughtful and always seem to be looking to help someone anyway they can. I docked one star because when I came in to purchase a car they didn't take me seriously. I had to repeat myself a number of times that I was ready to make the purchase. I am younger and I understand their hesitating but it just wasn't the way I'd expect professionals to conduct business. Other than that my experience at this toyota dealership has been spectacular.

The following details my recent experience with Ca...

The following details my recent experience with Capitol Toyota. In short, the dealership did not honor the first paid reservation on an incoming vehicle, instead superseding it with a second reservation.

On August 28th of 2020 I reserved a 2020 Rav4 hybrid in Lunar Rock exterior, Light Grey interior with Raymond McMorris at Capitol Toyota. This included a signed and dated intent to buy for agreed upon MSRP pricing and a $500 deposit. I was told to expect delivery within a week most likely, but potentially a bit later.

A week later on the 4th of September I attempted to contact Raymond via text and e-mail for an updated arrival estimate. After having not heard back a day later on the 5th of September I called the dealership to request an update. I was eventually connected with Mike, who had answered my initial inquiry a week earlier and connected me to Raymond. I was told that the car was expected to arrive on the 10th, but that he didn't see a name on the reservation in the system. This confused him as he recalled talking with me the week before and hence he called back a few minutes later after checking further on the reservation and discovering that it was not reserved in my name. I was told to expect a follow-up call the next day as the managers required to look into the issue had already gone home for the day.

The next morning I received a call as expected, but not with the news I'd wanted to hear. The story I was told by both Raymond and his manager Ross was that I had done everything right and they have the paper record of my reservation and deposit, but that despite Ross having entered the reservation into the computer system it had not saved the reservation. Since the reservation was supposedly not entered into the computer system, another customer was allowed to reserve the vehicle a day later. I was told that the general manager decided to honor the reservation of the customer in the computer system despite the fact that they had written records of my prior reservation and deposit. I was then told that they had searched incoming inventory and that they could swap with another dealer to obtain one of the next matching vehicles to be made, but that it wouldn't arrive for at least a month. I declined as that was outside my purchase window which had started at the end of June.

During that June-August period this was only the third Rav4 hybrid of that color combination to show up in California, and the first that was not already reserved at the time that it appeared on a dealer website. There were a few more showing up during that time from in Oregon, Washington, and Idaho, but again most were already reserved by the time I inquired. My point being that Rav4 hybrid supply as a whole during this time frame was limited, and the particular color combination we wanted was both quite rare and in demand. Clear evidence of such being that some other local Toyota dealers had begun listing their Rav4 hybrids at $2.5k above MSRP.

With that in mind, is it possible that human error was at fault and my reservation didn't get saved in to the computer system? Certainly. But the general manager's decision not to honor the first reservation made once their error was brought to light casts doubt on that story. Yes, they are going to have an unhappy customer regardless of which reservation they choose to honor. However, I would at least understand their situation had I been told that, due to a mistake on their part, the car had already been reserved at the time I had placed my reservation and hence they were cancelling my reservation and honoring the first reservation made. The only reason I can think of for their decision to honor the second reservation despite agreeing that I was the first customer is that there was no mistake at all - they have given me no reason not to believe that the reservation on the vehicle was changed to a customer who agreed to pay above MSRP.

Very professional. I made an appointment with the service department. When I arrived the appointment meaningless. It was a first come first serve. After my work (5k service) was complete, I asked the service representative about the appointment and was told that it is a first come first serve. Why mislead customers with the appointment? My work took 2 hours which was what too long.

Great experience! I found a specific Toyota online that I wanted and Capitol Toyota had it. I came in and Michael Tran helped me, he was great. He listened to what I wanted and helpful in getting me a great deal. His manager Riss and the staff there got my trade in sorted out quickly, and since I paid cash I was driving out in my new car in no time. It was night time when I bought the car, so the next day I noticed a few things that I was concerned about. Before I could come in to ask about them, Michael followed up with a phone call to check how everything was, and I was able to let him know my issues. One of them being I left a few items in my trade in vehicle by mistake, and he got them back for me! Even though I didn't buy the extended warranty and my vehicle was bought as-is, Michael and Ross quickly sorted every issue out for me, even though I had already drove off the lot and didn't notice this stuff until the next day. That's what I call great customer service!

Online msged gave the stock number to the vehicle interested in. Then a sales person texts me and I inform them I have a price from Steven's creek on the same car can you beat it. Sure enough they beat the price by few hundred... I say who do we ask for when we come in. Jamesel says ask for me here is your price and stock number. I cross referenced before I went in and it was a different stock number. Would never do business with shady people like this. Not to mention the managers wont call back so I can inform them of their employees dishonesty. If you value your hard earned money stay clear of this dealership.

The price is very good, the staff is super kind, it will not be too noisy and the waiting time is not long, very crisp, a good place to buy Toyota! Compared to several places, this place is really recommended! Maybe the coffee is not so delicious .. Chocolate is not bad! But the point is to buy a Toyota! The most embarrassing thing to buy a car in the United States is to sign a financial agreement, and then be sold a bunch of after-sales service, tire glass, insurance, etc. Here, compared to my other five or six places Experience, this is a very stress-free point! Big push! Now try to use paperless services as much as possible. Here they provide on-screen desktop signatures for viewing information. In fact, they feel more comfortable than iPads. Moreover, they have multi-language services, and even the final signings can choose their own familiar language according to preferences. It is very convenient!

Horrible service. Mileage put in paper was miswritten. Car only had 60k miles and the employee put in 75k and proceeded to state it's no longer under warranty after 75k. Then the shuttle service called my name but never really made an effort to check twice as their new facility is huge, causing me to be late from work. When asked about it, the employees have an attitude with their service. Any way to give this a negative star or something?

his review is about the sales department. I recently visited this dealership to test drive a highlander. I called in advanced to get an appointment. The receptionist told me that an appointment is not needed and that I could just walk in. When I arrived at the dealership, the place was deserted. One person checked on me and I told him that I wanted to test drive a highlander. He said that he was busy and pointed me to another person who told me that he was with a client and directed me to the receptionist. The receptionist was cold, no greeting and ensconced behind a high walled cube. She paged the sales team. I was then directed the first person who had said he was busy. After all this, they didn't have any highlanders in stock that matched my needs and didn't want to make an effort to find one or enquire if they can procure one. What a fool's paradise this place is. Looks like they really don't want to sell any cars. They just lost a customer who wanted to buy a high end car.

Came to this dealership because of a car I saw online. I didn't find the car on the lot and ran into James Shi, the product specialist, who told me they haven't sold the car I came into see. He was kind and not pushy and told me the car was sitting in another lot since they just received it and it still needed to go through detailing. James was very helpful and was able to show me the car and he even showed me how to set up the Bluetooth on the car and asked how everything felt. After the test drive experience, I was sold and filled out the paperwork.

I was then introduced to Arleen, the finance manager and we went over the warranty, coverages, and prices. She was extremely helpful and took the time to explain all the benefits and what each package covered and costs and made sure I was comfortable with the prices. Overall I had an excellent experience and am extremely happy with my purchase! I definitely will recommend this dealership to future car buyers and continue to shop with Toyota/Lexus for their amazing customer service!

I read about people who got their cars "jailed" at the service area for more than half a day. I was in the same situation and I think I know why: I bought the extended Care package. Basically I paid for services ahead of time.
When the sale people talked to me about the benefits of the package I was under the impression that every time I brought it in I would at least have an oil change, almost 400$ for 4 oil changes is pretty expensive but ok with me. I went with it.
Of all the times I brought my car in under that prepaid contract it was kept for the whole day, they gave me ride back and from home so it was lots of hassle.
Turned out, if the old oil (synthetic) doesn't have 10000 miles on it, they did not change it, they kept your car around to do thinks like "floor mat inspection". I should have known, if they got your money up front, they do the minimum that they can get away with. So for the 2 year Toyota care care contract they probably did at most 2 oil changes, since I, like most people, don't put in much more than 10k miles a year.
When I brought to their attention about their misleading sale technic I was ignored.
Oh, BTW, the last time I brought my car in they told me the contract expired, fine, I probably miscounted, I paid out of pocket, amazingly, the whole oil change done in 90 minutes.
That would be the very last time they see me.
