My service advisor had warned me that my tires were worn out about 6 weeks ago. Then my tire pressure alert came on two days ago. Yesterday, I called Toyota 101 at 8 AM. They had me in at 10:45 AM and out on the road with four new affordable Goodyears within 90 minutes. Fast turnaround, plus a deal: October special got me 4 tires for the price of 3 + $1. Everyone I dealt with on the phone and in person was awesome. Definitely coming back here for my service and tire needs in the future!

As everyone I hate to negotiate, I communicated over emails and confirmed the price over phone. Then called again and confirmed again, and again before I left to the dealership. Thinking this purchase is done; I already have everything I need just paperwork. Take the car and come back...but NO.
Toyota 101 Internet sales manager Jun Kim, started shouting at us the moment we come in. He just put lot of papers in front of us and told us point blank the price is not possible and the actual price is 1000+more!!. He was saying he made mistake in adding (2+2 = 3!!). He started rolling his eyes and shouting at us!!
It would have been fine, if he called and told us the made a mistake. Or even just told us polity, he made a mistake. We drove 45+ minutes in traffic to reach there, informing we are coming to purchase the car at agreed price. Toyota101 Jun Kim was not only very arrogant but very angry at us. He wanted us to buy the car 1000+$$ over the agreed price.
We requested to talk to his manger. And manger was on his side as well, we weren't expecting they sell the car we just wanted us to be heard. When calling manager we overheard". Those two #&(*!$" wanted to talk to you :(
Only thing we wanted was little respect and good nature. If they cannot sell it that's fine they can just say so. And we can go on our way. Calling when they know they made a mistake was also very helpful it shows you care at least a little. At the end of the day we also have some budget ... if we could afford to pay more I would never negotiate but we cannot.
All I am asking is some decency. This was by far the worst experience in any purchase not just the car. I will never ever recommend this to anyone.

It was really pleasant working with Jun. We were specifically impressed by his honesty. One of our cars was getting old and needed a replacement. We studied new car prices online for a couple of weeks and found a great sale at this dealership. We were skeptical about the price initially. Because the price you see is not usually the price you get with car dealers. But we decided to take a look, just in case. Jun showed us the car and took us to test drive that day. When we sat down requesting the price in the advertisement, Jun honored it without any sales pitches. This was a huge surprise comparing to our previous car buying experiences. We immediately crossed the bridge, went back home to get our old car in for trade. The whole buying process took less than one hour (excluding the trip back home). And we got extra maintenance packages for free. We could not be happier. This was the fastest car purchase we have ever made. I will definitely recommend my friends to here.

Crap service. Granted, no one goes to a car dealership expecting anything more than a "car dealership service" but I now will NEVER buy from them. I went looking for their new 2016 Tacoma to look at, they had one out front, was able to get in, look around etc. sweet. I decided to go inside to see if someone could help me to price one for me with the model/trim/options I am looking for. An Asian woman (I'm not trying to be rude but considering she never introduced herself I have no idea what her name is) asked if I needed help. I told her about my interest in the Tacoma and asked to "get an idea of the price" for the one I want, and I REALLY want a Tacoma so I'm almost ready to sign. She scribbles down what I'm looking for then just gets on her phone and says "this is what we have" her company "computer" is right next to her. And she begins to scroll through the trucks, none of which are close to what I want. I notice that the website is a standard online site, not some special inventory that she has access to. I tell her "yeah I could do that myself" and she just looks and says "yeah". Wow thank you, no introduction of yourself, NO effort to find the vehicle I'm pretty much ready to buy, no effort to work with me to see where that particular one may be or timetable as to when she could get it for me. Nothing. When I tell her how I could have done that Internet search myself she just says yeah then "ok". That was it. I was being as polite as I could be and no effort was made on her part to sell a vehicle "her job". I'll take my $35,000 elsewhere.

We had just about given up when a sales person asked us what we were looking for. We explained we were in the early stages of purchasing and wanted to see the Avalon, Prius, and Camry. He opened up an Avalon for us to sit in but gave us zero information about the vehicle. We spent some time looking at the features and when we got out, our sales person was gone. We waited for a few more minutes before we gave up and left. I have no idea where our saleman went.

We went in to test drive a vehicle on November 2, 2018, and were very up front with the salesman that we were still deciding on the model of car we wanted to buy (not lease), and that we would not be making a purchase same-day. At the end of the test drive, the salesman who accompanied us on the test drive singled me out while my partner was a few feet away and asked if I wanted to sign lease paperwork. I politely declined, reiterating that we were still deciding and that we wanted to buy not lease, and asked for his business card to make sure we got ahold of him when we were ready to move forward the next day. The salesman said, "I thought you were buying a car today!" angrily, refused to give a business card, abruptly slammed the car door shut (on the brand new car we had just test driven), and peeled out of the parking lot without so much as a thank you or a goodbye. Needless to say, Toyota 101 will not be getting our business, now or ever. I will make sure my local friends are forewarned about this behavior as well.

We were helped by Carlos, he speaks fluent Spanish- which was essential in order for my Mom to feel comfortable in the buying process. Carlos got us approved at a good rate, and then it was hunting time for the perfect car. We were very set on a black interior, and he after many searches on his side, he found the perfect car. I am writing this review for a purchase made in 2012. The salesperson was Johnny Taylor, though I am not sure if he is still with Toyota 101. I bought a brand new Prius. Johnny wasn't pushy. Nor did he play the bait-and-switch game. The documentation process was smooth and our time wasn't wasted. After we drove the car home, we discovered a subtle scratch on the windshield, which we didn't see while at the dealership. Without any hassle, Toyota 101 promised to replace the windshield for us for free. We took the car back several days later for the replacement and found the service guys to be very helpful too. Instead of using cheaper third-party glass, they installed a new windshield using Toyota glass special-ordered from Japan. Highly recommended!

Brought my car over because their sale representative told me that they could do repair my broken bumper. Turned out they couldn t. Since i was already there, i decided to have my car serviced. The guy quoted me 1200 with a bunch of random recommended services with no clear way to tell how much each item costs. After 15 minutes of going back and forth to decide which services is necessary for me, we got the price down to 870. Unfortunately, when i got home, i realized that many of the recommended services are not really necessary and was way overpriced.

I live in Mountain View and drive up to Redwood City to have my Prius serviced. I bought the car from Jun Javier (the BEST) and in all the years I've gone there, I have been treated fairly, courteously and with a very friendly attitude.
For service, I just wait in their lounge and catch up on my computer with their wifi, though they have a shuttle available if you want to go elsewhere.
They have never tried to up-sell me for any additional service, nor have they been anything but above board and honest. I wouldn't go anywhere else!

Worst buying experience I've ever had! We came to the dealership to look at the 2016 Toyota Highlander. We were met by Marcellis Flowers in Sales Dept. and he showed us the car. He was extremely knowledgeable about the car and very pleasant. I decided to buy the car but the color and interior that I wanted was not there. He said he could find one at another dealership and do a swap. They were able to find one in San Jose so we sat down to start negotiating. Marcellis told us it was 0.00 percent finance charge. After agreeing to the deal (They didn't budge a dime on MSRP) he asked us to wait for the dealer to call back. After sitting waiting over an hour we left. Marcellis called us the next day and said he had the car. We went back and the Finance person told us that Marcellis just left to pick up car in Santa Cruz!! but we can start the paperwork. When signing the agreement I noticed the interest rate on the loan was 3.99!! He told us there is no 0 percent financing for that car. Great!.... now I have a higher car payment. Finished the paperwork but left with no car. We also asked them to make sure everything comes to our PO Box as we have no postal service on our street address. He assured me that he would take care of it and said he would have DMV deliver the license plate to the dealership so we could pick it up in two weeks. Next day we picked up the car. (another trip) 3 weeks go buy with no call about the license plate. I went to the dealer and was rudely told by someone that "We will call you !!!
The license plate was delivered to our PO Box. Thanks Toyota!! A month goes by and I don't receive any paperwork for the loan. I call Toyota Finance ( which was where my loan was financed on my contract) and they have no record of the VIN. Great!!...Call Toyota and they tell us its Wells Fargo. Call Wells Fargo and they said they sent the paperwork to my street address per contract with Toyota. Great!!... Now I have no loan information and had to get that straightened out. Went back to Toyota to make sure any future mailings will be sent to PO box. Galina Fedorova, Financial Services Director very rudely tells us that's not their problem to call some number. I've never experienced such rudeness with anyone like her in my whole life! Horrible customer service. So the number she gave us was for Wells Fargo which I've already dealt with. I wanted the dealership to correct so any future recalls, XM radio info, etc would go to my PO box Great!!!... another trip to the dealership...Will never buy from Toyota 101 again. Worst experience ever.

Came to Toyota 101 on Wednesday, November 27th to purchase a RAV4 XSE. I had the pleasure of working with Sean during this visit. Prior to coming in, Sean was extremely helpful as he helped run numbers for us so that we may get the best price and deal for my car. After coming to an agreement, Sean welcomed my sister and I the following day and allowed us some time to test drive the car and have further discussion on the proposed payment plan for the car. Sean was very knowledgeable, kind, and to the point. In my experience working with other dealerships in the past, I ve noticed many be very pushy and at times overly aggressive with me. However this was not the case with Sean. He was extremely kind and very honest, keeping me, the customer s, best interest in mind. I felt very comfortable with him and trusted his advice and counsel. If not for Sean, I probably would not have enjoyed my experience getting my car this much. Nevertheless, visiting this Toyota branch was a positive experience. The people greeting us were kind and attentive, the finance gentleman that helped us with our paperwork was extremely helpful and down to earth, and of course Sean was wonderful as well. Will gladly refer folks to this Toyota branch in the future, including myself when it comes time for maintenance on my car.

Since I new in town I had to search the web to find a Toyota dealer. Turns out this place was near our new home. Went in and asked about an oil change. They fit me right in and did a full inspection while doing the change. They found two other problems and took the time to look up my car s service records from Texas. Both issues were quickly resolved and the service advisor went over all the items that were checked. I ll be going back for future service needs.

Didn't do requested work, then provided a technically incorrect excuse about why they didn't do it.
We took in a car to get an alignment. Got the car home and checked the paperwork; no alignment. Called and they said that since the tires will need to be replaced in 5000miles that we should wait to do the alignment when we get new tires (alignments don't change as a function of tires, but maybe we will need them in 5k since they didn't do the alignment), and that since it isn't "pulling" that the alignment is fine (incorrect).
So time taken off work to get an alignment, and no alignment. And either incompetent statments, or a willingness to lie to a customer.
Unfortunately, we also asked to have something else looked at when the appointment was made, but that didn't get done either and the warranty expires this week.

I had an appointment for an oil change and had to leave the car overnight. When I went in the next day I found out they hadn't done the service because the drain plug was on too tight. I would have appreciated to have been notified before they decided to just not do the service and waste my time. Also, the service guy had assured me they would send me a notification in case they were ready early or anything else happened. When I went to pick it up they didn't even bring the car to me, I had to walk through the entire lot in the back and couldn't find my car. Turns out my car was parked in the next lot over. Highly unprofessional.
UPDATE: So I just watched the service guy at Oil Changers remove the drain plug quite easily, which leads me to believe the people at Toyota didn't even make an attempt to perform the oil change.

Our intent was to acquire a vehicle for my wife to use. The vehicle would replace her aging minivan and she wished to leave the minivan world for something a little different now that our children are older. We wanted something safe, reliable, and equipped with the comfort features we like.
Toyota101 is certainly not the fanciest dealership in the Bay Area, but the our salesperson (John) was very knowledgeably, listened to our requirements, and found the perfect vehicle for our needs. We did not have to do a lot of negotiations to get a great price, and we were not pressured to buy a lot of unwanted extras. All of the questions we had were answered, most very quickly and in a couple of cases where the person didn t know, they went and got the real answer rather than blow us off or make something up.
I was pleased that they presented us with both used and new options as choices for our consideration.
We ended up with a 2018 Toyota Highlander Limited Platinum. We expect to get many years of enjoyment and reliable service.

Went in for a 60k maintenance. Delayed service by over an hour because they broke one of my sensors which they then had to replace. About an hour later I notice that my door is dented, like they clamped it from the bottom while it was open. Paint was chipped off. And now my door doesn't close right. I was charged $870 for this.
EDIT: They got in contact with me and were very generous and offered to fix my door and deliver the car to me when it was done. Eric ensured the paint job was top quality and the delivery was seamless. I really appreciate the effort to make sure my car was back to normal. Thanks!

In addition to regular maintenance, I asked their service department to check on an issue my car was having. In order for them to check, it would cost $160. Once they found the problem, that cost would go to the cost of the repair only if I chose for the repair. In this case, they quoted me a price that was already high enough to begin with. I said proceed with the repair. Then they come back with a higher cost, and I said no. I'm pretty sure they know that once they have you down for $160, they can come back to you with whatever cost and know that you will likely go with it anyways. In my case, I know that I will never take my car to this dealership again.

We already had an idea of what we wanted, but we didn t feel that he tried to sell us features we did not want. After we purchased the car, he made sure we knew how to navigate all the special safety features and made sure we downloaded the right apps so that our phones worked with the car s system. It was a holiday weekend, but he made sure we got through the paperwork as efficiently as we could.

Very disappointing experience with both the sales and service departments. Went in to purchase a car with the exact specs for what I wanted. It took 4 hours to complete the sale! The salesperson struggled to use his computer to search inventory (I had to prompt him on which terms to select and I'd never used the database before!). Then he kept walking back and forth to his manager to "give us a good deal", but we were using our Costco membership to ensure a price. He took forever to get us information and kept chatting with other salespeople and forgetting note paper on other people's desks. It was infuriating! But we wanted the car and Costco had a good deal with this dealership (I've since informed Costco of these issues). The car was ready the next day for us to pick up. Upon inspection we noticed the bumper was scratched and banged up. They said they would fix it no charge and they would arrange the service. More than a week later of me emailing and calling with no response, I submitted a complaint to Toyota. That got their attention fast but it still took several attempts and almost two months to get the bumper looking like it should have! I came away with an icky feeling from my interactions and it took me several months to get the nerve to write up this review. I'm really not impressed and would warn anyone thinking of purchasing from them to watch out and be attentive. They may have good deals but it was not worth the time and stress!

We received wonderful service! Arnel Leyco was far and above the best sales associate we've ever worked with at any dealership. He was super helpful on the phone and in person, giving us great service. Chris Suzuki was also a great help with financial advice and Galina Fedorova went the extra mile to help us with purchasing the vehicle. I will highly recommend your dealership. We traveled over 2.5 hours and 150 miles to buy from you and it was worth it!
