Great happy hour specials and delicious appetizers! Recommend the flatbread. Nice outdoor seating options.
I've never had a bad meal (or beer) there. Yesterday, the server spilled a drink on me and they all bent over backwards to make it right. I'll keep coming back.
I've been to the Ale House a handful of times. Most of the time it's good food and good service. This time however the service was slow and the food was bad. It was also extremely cold inside. We literally had to eat with our coats on. I'm definitely not in a rush to go back.
Great food. Good service. No place to park so take a Lyft!
Fine location for delicious American food. Filled me up in no time.
I had trouble choosing from the brunch menu as so many dishes appealed to me but eventually I went for the blackened shrimp with poached eggs and hollandaise and hash browns.
I was disappointed. I just expected more from it. I couldn't see my shrimp as they were under the eggs between the bread. Pasta of the gods were cold. My companion's sweet potato fries were a tiny portion that we had to ask for more.
Cider options limited that they had to go in search of bottles in the cellar.
It was okay. Would I go again? Probably not :-(
Was seated at a table when it wasn't busy and left after not being greeted for 15 minutes
Not impressed at all, why have a bunch of outdoor seating bubbles if nobody can use them? Walked up at around 1:30 to a line of people waiting for someone to greet them. When someone came they told everyone that it was going to be an hour and a half wait. The entire restaurant was empty. Just unprofessional, seemed like they were trying to shop people away.
probably the best place for dinner in LoHi great prices and the rooftop is good too. if you have guests in town do take them to this place and have a fantastic evening out. Good burgers. and when there is a game on there is always a good spot to see the game.
Great beer selection. Carnitas tacos we're great, fish tacos kinda meh.
Food was not as good as I thought and the Ale was not the best for my taste.
Best beer list, food, and view of Denver. Plus the staff treats you like family.
Best food I've had in Denver! The owner met us at the door and we had the best experience! I had the Tuna burger and I highly recommend getting it :). Great selection of local beers and at a reasonable price. I will be back again and hope others will too!
Great drinks, really keeping clean during Covid as well
Awesome valentine s day experience, we decided to eat out last minute and Ale House accommodated us with only a 15 minute wait. Mac N Chz was amazing, along with the pork tacos. Beer was great, also had a nice old fashioned. Recommend this place, good vibes.
I love the atmosphere of Ale House at Amato's. It is laid back and tons of space. Their rooftop/patio is an awesome place to hang out during the summer. They even have tables with fire pits in the center for chillier evenings! Good food and drinks too.
The appetizers, cocktails and beers were all above average and the service was helpful and efficient. The medium rare prime rib was a bit tough, but the crust was nice and smoky. The meat loaf went down well, and the main course salads were fresh and flavorful. We ve had lighter flourless chocolate tortes, but it was decent. More like a brownie. Not that that s a bad thing
Great atmosphere and views, but beer and food at coastal prices. Too many places nearby with equal food quality and better beer selection.
Delicious food. Prices in line with quality and location. Good drink selection. I asked for stuff not on the menu!
Great beer and food, plus I love the location! Great service every single time! Highly recommended.
The waiter was super friendly and funny! Good food too! You can find some non alcoholic beers.
First I will share the good.
The food is good and so is the beer.
They have a tremendous selection of beers and if you are not sure which one to try they will bring you small glasses to taste a couple.
The atmosphere is also good and the staff was nice.
The not so good are the music loudness and the manager's unwillingness to do anything about it when asked to lower the volume, although she gave us a discount for the sound abuse.
86 decibels of average sound pressure is not only unhealthy, it is illegal by OSHA and an occupational hazard for the employees who must endure it daily.
This is what I measured on my table. We had to communicate via text messaging to figure out what to order because we couldn't hear each other.
Going to a restaurant with family and friends and not being able to relax and talk defies the purpose and meaning of the actual word, restaurant. You go to be restored, recharged and leave relaxed and happy. Being blasted by such strong sound and hoping to finish as fast as possible so you can stop the hearing abuse, is simply bad and unacceptable.
Also, there is very little parking available and parking on the streets you have only 2 hours between 8am & 10pm, however there is a pay parking lot NW behind the block.
I would like to try it again maybe at a time when it is quiet.
Worthwhile lunch! Though I went a little out of my comfort zone and picked the Glider Mojito, which is made with rum and cider, and it definitely didn't refresh like a mojito would've. Good choice if you're already leaning towards a cider, though.
Tasty corned beef too!
Ale House at Amato's has incredibly inconsistent dish quality, not the greatest service, and a beer list that looks as impressive from afar but is disappointing up close. I would not recommend this place to my friends unless there was nowhere else to eat near by.
First time visit was disappointing. had a group of 14 for a company dinner. took a half hour before they took our order it took over an hour to get our entrees. than we ordered desert which took another half hour and when they brought it out they were out of the cupcakes for some of our party guests, they did not let us know until all others received there desert.
Great food (sweet potato fries were amazing) and lots of beer to choose from. Our waiter was very friendly and the restaurant was very pretty!
Beautiful views of Denver, great music, friendly staff and their dessert options are great!
Good food, cool location and nice patio, deck and views.
Lots of interesting beers. Not as many entrees as I would have expected but everyone enjoyed what they had.
Catie is the best server they have here, very attentive & sweet. Knowledge on the beers & kept our tabke clean. I will be back
Bartenders are wonderful! Recommended the perfect beer for me. Offered us several different "tastes" before we order our first and second round. Great service. Wonderful atmosphere.
Love the food and drinks here but recently had a crappy experience.
Waited for an hour to get a table.
Another hour to get our food.
Forgot a bag of souvenirs, when I called to ask about them their response was... "I looked and it's not there too bad for you".
What kind of response is that. F-you not going back to this place again.
Went for a late dinner. I had French onion soup that was very reasonably priced at 6 bucks. I split the vegetable salad it was great and plenty to split. The waiter was very attentive. Every time ive gone here the food and service is consistently good.
We sat out on the patio. The chicken flat wrap was delicious. It was served inside naan bread. Love. If you like Mac n cheese, don't leave without trying it out. My brother said his Buffalo Chicken sandwich was the best he had ever eaten. I am totally using my childs lunch choice as an inspiration for future meals at home.
Wagyu beef, great beers, and surprisingly good fries
Jamie did great serving us, even though we were terrible and came in close to closing . We had a great seat to see the city, the beer was wonderful, and the burgers were to die for. We ll definitely be back!
Usually good spot. Pricing not bad. Was served a cold rare burger once but was comped and got 2 drink tickets free.
Often bring my family here for early dinners when we're in the LoHi area. Good food, wide selection of beer, and a laid back atmosphere.
Got a Epic Tart N' Juicy sour IPA. Great beer, fast service, hospitable, there was a wait when I arrived but places to sit at the bar.
Had a good selection of local beers on tap. Staff were pleasant. Rooftop was nice.
Had an awesome lunch here today. Will definitely be coming back.
Wow. Wow. Phenomenal. Great beer selection, fun atmosphere, and fantastic food. Flavorful and savory. Best meatloaf in have ever had. The beer is fantastic. Would highly recommend, and will definitely visit again when I'm back in Denver.
Consistently good food. They've raised prices, so its not as great of a lunch spot. But if i want a really good burger, in a really great atmosphere, with really great service, Ale House stays near the top of the list.
Beer selection was very good and food was delicious
Beautiful place with cool staff.
I got the basic cheeseburger, since I always judge the basics first. I wasn't blown away, but it was a competent burger. Some of the more interesting dishes seemed to be enjoyed by others in our party.
Expect parking to be limited.
Walked to the Ale House after the aquarium. It was a fantastic lunch. Had hamburgers, buffalo chicken sandwich, and the chicken sandwich with guacamole. Everyone enjoyed their meal. Wait staff was very nice. Setting was really neat. Had floor to ceiling windows that were open to add an extra breeze in the restaurant. Highly recommend.
We went to this restaurant for lunch with three adults and two kids. Neither of the kids were happy with their orders. They got the burger and the fish & chips. I traded my order of nachos for the burger and thought it was fine. I did however add the guacamole and hot peppers from the Nachos so it may not be the best representative of what my little experienced. The fish was over done and fried to the point of being dry and the breading on the verge of burnt. Both of the adults were happy with their orders another burger and their French dip. I was able to finish off my pulled pork nachos and the pork was cooked well and the nachos held up well under the toppings. The star of the meal was the deep fried brownie sundae. There was a wide selection of beers that we all found a favourite despite wildly different tastes. Our waiter was great and did his best to make up the kids disappointment.
Tasty food, lengthy tap menu, great service and atmosphere all for reasonable prices. Love this place!
I used to like their pulled pork but it s discontinued. The bahn mi I just ate was AWFUL. Way too greasy and I question whether that Is prime rib or just some Oscar Meyer roast beef on a little hard roll with some cucumbers and cole slaw.. pretty bad.
Amazing veggie burgers, clearly made in house! Did I mention the veggie burgers?
The service here was absolutely amazing, even though our heater ran out of propane we managed to spend 3 hours there nonetheless. Our server Hannah was excellent at keeping the greenhouse full of laughter, which as it turns out with a little liquor is warmer than propane. 10/10 Hannah turned a freezing night golden.
Great food. Fair prices for what you get considering the ambience, location and quality. Great selection of beer, mostly all local.
Spectacular view of the Denver skyline! Perfect for happy hour- good beer, and delicious appetizers!
I have always had good service and I think they have some of the best burgers in town too! Good food but do not get that french toast. Not impressed with their brunch menu but lunch, dinner, drinks and service are great!
I like their beer selection but they changed their menu around and removed a lot of things. Their food is no longer noteworthy, pretty average now.
Great place. Great selection of beer and food. Comfortable atmosphere.
Great food, friendly staff. Also has one of the best roof top seating areas in town.
I like their beer selection but they changed their menu around and removed a lot of things. Their food is no longer noteworthy, pretty average now.
We came here to catch up with some cousins we haven't seen in a while. There were 18 of us. It isn't easy to serve my family when there is a smaller # :-) Angela our server was patient and on top of it! She was very attentive and I swear she would float from the bar to our table in NO TIME. Angela never made us fee like we were "keeping" a table from her. She didn't push us -she made us very comfortable. I look forward to coming back.
I've always had great service, great food, great atmosphere, great views. All around pretty good place!
$10 for a 10oz beer? Awful. Beer list is laughable.
Very fun environment. Good food. Great Service and beautiful views of the new years eve snow storm over Denver.
Food was good, atmosphere was fun, but the waitress we had was so rude. Honestly ruined the whole experience for us. I brought my brother here since he is from out of town, thinking it was a cool location but left disappointed. I wish I knew her name, she never told us and I never got the chance to ask since I really only saw her like twice.
On the pricier side but the atmosphere is super cool, and good drink choices.
Menu has been downsized, all the favorites are no longer served. From the meatloaf, to the fish tacos the were to die for are gone. To then serve fish and chips on the menu, but to be salmon. Such a disappointment. Not to mention you re at 50% capacity and it took our waitress 15 minutes to bring us drinks, not sure where she was we couldn t even find her.
Huge selection of craft beers, and we were there during happy hour, so select beers were $3 for a full pour. Decent food choices even at 10pm, though they do have a limited small plates menu at that time. Our bartender was super nice and took great care of us.
Fantastic beer selection and very polite and intelligent staff!
Expansive beer list, varied food menu (not just the usually burgers and fries food), and a laid-back atmosphere! Everyone is friendly and the servers have great recommendations.
Service Excellent
Food very good
Great atmosphere
Highly recommend
I give every one of the staff a full five stars. They are all friendly, highly knowledgeable of the menu, food ingredients, drink menu, and food contents. At first I thought they were related to the owners due to the level of knowledge of the menu, how long certain items have been on the menu, the most popular items, how the pork is cooked, etc. Hands down, it's the best staff I've ever encountered. Kudos.
We got here around 945 pm on a Thursday night, so parking was easy.
As soon as we got here, we were waiting to be seated but the waiter told us to just seat anywhere we want.
The waiter was somewhat attentive. We needed a soda refill for the longest time and we couldn't get our waiter's attention. When we did get his attention, he was very nice.
The shrimp and grit was spicy for my taste. The pulled pork was tasty, but i had better. Love the calamari. The fried brownie was one of a kind delicious!
Nice roof deck, good tap selection, best Cuban sandwich in town.
I've been to this bar & restaurant many times and every time I know that I'll return. The food is good, the beer is cold with a great variety and the service is excellent. I usually sit at the bar and the 3 bartenders, one of which always serves me are great! Friendly, attentive and efficient. As a ex-bartender and restaurant owner I really appreciate the service that I'm accustomed to receiving at the Ale House.
Great view and very pleased with the social distancing efforts! Hard komboocha and grilled cheese caprese hit the spot!
Amazing service, great atmosphere! Beer selections second too none..
